Great location. Nice rooms and pool. Fab layout of rooms with views over the pool area and the city above on the hills. Breakfast is fine. Coffee pretty good. We’ve been before and came again as had such a great time the first time. It’s easy to get to. Parking is easy (paid). Everything is great! Ok it’s a little tatty in places but overall a fun, quirky place to stay in a great location!

Carpets on stairs needs addressing in places. Maybe add another (savoury) option to the breakfasts?

Cute little property, very brightly decorated and the staff were wonderful. There were some renovations going on but overall the rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable.

The rooms were a tad bit small, so there’s not much empty space to move around the beds. Also, no dedicated space for breakfast indoors - it’s a grab and go - but the outdoor patio area was nice and usually dry for eating. That’s about it!

The staff were super welcoming and warm, which made a real difference. It felt like a home from home. We felt comfortable and well catered for - we had a fantastic stay. If we come back to San Francisco again, we would stay at Hotel del Sol again and we would certainly recommend it. It is possibly the best hotel stay we have ever had.

There was nothing they could have done better. It was pretty perfect.

Staff were really lovely and helpful. We weren’t expecting a lot from breakfast but actually it was great - pastries, bagels, muffins, eggs, oatmeal and good coffee! Cookies in the afternoon were a highlight with our kids as was hanging out on the hammocks. The Hotel is also in a really great location within walking distance to lots of restaurants, and good links to public transport if you want to explore further. The area felt very safe.

The bottom of the pool looked like it needed cleaning - but the water was clean and we still enjoyed a swim.

The cleanliness of the room and comfort of the bed/mattress were excellent. My partner and I both snap crackle pop so that was a bonus for us😂 Not too far from pier 39 and a very decent breakfast selection. Overall I would definitely stay again .

The parking lot is compact and was under construction so it was a bit difficult upon arrival. The TV in our room didn’t work properly even after calling the front desk for assistance.

The location of the hotel is amazing. Great neighborhood with lots of shops and eateries around. Safe , higher end neighborhood. Breakfast daily was fantastic, with lots of delicious choices. Good coffee!! I loved the vintage charm of the place and staff were very friendly and helpful.

There wasn't anything I didn't like. I was happy with the stay and rate for our short 2 day visit to San Francisco.

Great location, quiet room given busy area, liked the "vibe" in terms of how it has been retrofitted from its old days as a motor inn, comfortable bed, appreciated the chrome cast, good breakfast

I think it is a little disingenuous to add an "amenity fee" of $15 a day. It would be much more upfront to put it into the price of the room and I don't see that the "amenities" (breakfast, wifi etc.) were anything unusual. Also I was surprised when no maid service was provided--when asked why, the front desk said "people don't want it anymore."

Perfect location! Vibrant decor, comfortable bed and linens, great TV and deluxe king was a perfect size for 2. $30 daily parking was also a huge plus!

Could clearly hear people in rooms next door and below. Some room decorations could be updated.

The staff was incredibly friendly and the location was perfect for downtown exploring. We loved the room, the ability to cast from our phones and the breakfast! Definitely recommend this place for anyone coming to San Fran who's looking for a good deal and a great place.

The $35 fee to pay for parking was unexpected, but we handled it! We did park on the street for free after searching but would have preferred to park at the hotel. Also, would have loved a bath! :)

The room was clean & beds were comfortable. Breakfast had pastries, eggs and yogurt. It felt safe in the middle of the city & if needed parking was available inside the gate. Great location & close to lots of restaurants & shops.

I liked the big window in the room but it let in a lot of light during the night. I also wish there was a coffee maker or hot water kettle in the regular rooms (I guess only the suits have them).
