I loved the location and amenities of the hotel. The breakfast exceeded the expectations I had when I originally made my reservation. In addition to traditional continental offerings, the Wydown offered sous vide egg bites to its guests. This addition made the breakfast filling-- which was perfect before a wine tasting. The room was very comfortable and clean. In the evenings, the staff put chocolate chip cookies and bottled water on the sidetable by the stairwell leading to the guest rooms. The cookies were nice treat! My husband and I could walk to a different restaurant for dinner each evening. I highly recommend booking this hotel to have a central, pleasant stay in Napa.

We loved the Wydown Hotel, we stayed over a long weekend, as we were in St. Helena for a wedding. You couldn't get a better location for exploring the wine region, also for walking to the excellent selection of restaurants and lovely stores near by. The atmosphere in the hotel and the town was so friendly and welcoming, we felt at home. All the team working there were top notch. The lobby and breakfast area were relaxed but stylish. Our bedroom was spacious ,very comfortable, quiet, clean with everything we needed at hand. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to thank all of the great people working there, who helped us with every request we had. We would recommend the Wydown for anyone going to St. Helena.

Corner room #4 was very spacious with comfortable and stylish amenities: good lighting, comfy bed, mirrored wardrobe closet, good desk, nice easy chair, Direct TV, bath counter with shelves below . Great welcoming staff - Michael, Kara, Sabrina, Paola. And the fresh-baked cookies in the evening were a lovely treat along with high quality breakfast in the morning - the English muffins from Model Bakery are the best ever, tasty egg bites, good coffee, teas, hot cocoa packets, immunity boost drinks, yogurt and fruit - unexpected pleasures. The lobby is spacious and welcoming if you just want to hang out, do a puzzle, read. One of the most welcoming and gracious boutique hotels in the wine country! And there's a nice small park (Lyman) a few steps away that we enjoyed on a sunny winter day.

Only minor quibbles that did not detract from our enjoyment: refillable toiletries in bath would be more environmentally friendly, a few scrapes and scuffs in bathroom could use some attention, shower door could use a gasket refresh. Location on Main Street means constant traffic noise but we got used to it. Love the small-town feel of St. Helena with its high-end shops and restaurants among everyday businesses.

While I’d asked for a quiet room, I didn’t anticipate having an interior-facing room (Room 12?) with a door leading out to a small, shared outdoor area. I’m glad none of the other rooms used this space, either, as it would have been horrible to hear voices so close to our room. But the most problematic issue with our room was that, nice as it was, the natural lighting was at a bare minimum and made it really dark despite having all the lights on. I’m somewhat claustrophobic and the lack of light was tough.

This is a lovely small European- style on main Street in the heart of charming St. Helena. The lobby and breakfast room are modern, and lovely. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. Our room, a corner King, large and very comfortable. The bed was also comfortable. There was plenty of room for luggage and to spread out. The bathroom, while not huge, was large enough to stash toiletries. The shower was very large, and there was plenty of hot water with good water pressure. Breakfast was included, and was a great value - Model Bakery breads and pastries are always a treat. There was plenty of free parking off Main Street.

It was difficult to control the temperature in the room - but we were there on a ridiculously hot weekend so that likely made things harder. There was no obvious place to put recyclables.

Overall it is a really great property. No issues at all and very happy with our choice. There is a small trade off with a property which is in the heart of the town of St. Helena... you walk out and there are all the shops and restaurants. It's a quaint and beautiful downtown and ideal for most people. The only thing it is lacking is open outdoor space. I like to have a cigar in the evenings or sit outside with my own bottle of wine and Wydown isn't the place for that. That said it has a well appointed and ample lobby which is very comfortable if you want to get out of your room but stay on property.

The location is excellent. Right on Main Street. We were able to walk to lots of restaurants. The included breakfast is limited, but of high quality. We found all of the employees to be solicitous and proactive in taking care of us. Our room (ADA compliant) was surprising large.

They don't have door keys. You have to use your own phone. Very annoying if, like me, you don't carry a cellphone all the time.

Great breakfasts. Wonderful staff. Paola and her team were terrific. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Access to excellent gym and spa facilities. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Close to walks to river and through vineyards.

Recommend staying at back of building away from main street which could be noisy. We were in the back in room 1 which was fine. Air conditioner was small for the size of the room with roller blind lowering in front of AC so it got stuffy.

Location was perfect as it is downtown and can walk everywhere. Breakfast was simple, but they had some great options, fresh and delicious. The bed was very comfortable, room was spacious, hotel was clean, staff was friendly and chocolate chip cookies served in the evening were freshly made and delicious. Would definitely stay here again if in the area again.

Shower head spray was poor.

This property is so beautiful, cozy and clean! The workers here are so incredibly nice and welcoming. The location cannot be beat in the middle of the most adorable city of St. Helena. The breakfast is incredible, and one of the best I have ever had at a hotel.

I didn’t like that I couldn’t stay here longer, as in I had to check out once my trip was over.
