Food, location, pool

Service in wine-room was slow, at best. Also asked us to pay for our tasting and tip before we even completed the tasting. Tip would be based on service, yet they wanted us to tip before we received any service. Additionally, upon check out we realized that we were not only charged for incorrect beverages at the pool, they also entered their own tip (in addition to the automatic 18% gratuity). The front desk could not resolve this issue, sending us to the pool, then back to the front desk to check out with the updated bill. This process took us over an hour to check out in turn we missed out flight out of San Diego & had to pay for another nights stay in San Diego. NOT IMPRESSED!

The Resort is absolutely beautiful but it is staff that warrants such a high rating. Every staff member we encountered always greeted us with smiles and friendly hello’s. One staff member in particular deserves special recognition. We met Macy at check in. She was very friendly and professional. Soon after check in I had a question regarding some areas in our room. I went down to the front desk and was greeted by Macy. She answered one question, tried to get an answer to my second one and offered to send maintenance up to my room when she couldn’t get an answer. I declined as it was later in the afternoon and I said I’d pursue it in the morning. The next morning I rang the desk and was greeted by Macy, again, very upbeat. She told me she would come right up to see if she could handle the situation (we were in a lovely corner room and couldn’t figure out how to raise an accordion pleated shade in one of the windows). Within minutes she was at our door. Unfortunately, she had no better luck than my husband and I in trying to raise the shade. She told me she would call maintenance right away. Again, within minutes, a knock came at the door. Fully expecting to see “maintenance”, I was surprised to see a smiling Macy. She had talked to maintenance and they told her how to do it. Sure enough, she was able to raise the shade. We really appreciated her efforts. She took ownership of our issues until both were fully resolved. She’s a great asset to “South Coast” and a wonderful ambassador for your resort. We also met another delightful woman, Giselle, at the front desk who was quick to answer any questions we had about the general area. She, too, is a wonderful representative for your resort. One other person I would like to acknowledge is a gentleman whose name I believe was Brandon. He always made sure we had an adequate supply of coffee K cups and creamer!!! He was very helpful in suggesting some pretty areas for our daily drives!

From our experience, there is nothing not to like!

The room is very comfortable with a wonderful view. The property is very beautiful in the middle of a vineyard. There is a tasting room on property. Great wines The pool complex is very nice and good for a rest at the end of the day even at winter time. The restaurant is very good for breakfast and dinner. All the staff is very kind. It is outside Temecula so is good to have a car to visit this cute city and the other wineries around.

We stayed 3 nights and they did not inform that for less than one week there is no room cleaning. No problem, but it has to be informed at checkin.

Staying in a villa surrounded by wine vines was amazing. The room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Every member of the staff we encountered was professional, kind, and exceedingly attentive to our needs. This was particularly true of the individuals working in the Vineyard Rose restaurant. The service was exceptional, the food scrumptious, and the ambiance lovely.

There was not one thing that was unpleasant about our stay. To this resort, we will happily return.

Beautiful property. We took time to walk around and it was wonderful. Breakfast was great in the morning. The entire venue is very peaceful and relaxing; great place to vacation and forget about the stress of life.

The hot water valve to our room did break in the evening at some point, so we ended up switching rooms around midnight. It wasn't a total catastrophe, but it happened and must be noted. There were fruit flies flying around our food at dinner at the restaurant which was concerning. It bothered my wife more than it did me.

Very nice wine country property with large, well appointed rooms. The wine is always very good here. Beautiful meandering pathways through the grape vines is a nice touch on the way to the pool. Cabana rentals and cocktail service is available as well as a full service spa. The pool staff were running constantly to keep everyone well hydrated. There's a select few umbrellas but tons of loungers to relax on :) Free parking is always appreciated and there seems to be plenty.

Our room was not ready when we tried to checked in at 3:30. We asked for a pool key and we were told we would receive a text when our room is ready. Well... we never received a text, so after we finished our drink, we went back to the front desk and waited in line again to check in...now that it was well past 4pm. :( Beds were super firm and we had trouble getting a good nights rest. My wife and I woke up with some shoulder and back pain. :( Luckily the hot tub helped a little. :) They pumped out septic tanks Friday morning and whoa the smell was pretty nasty at the pool that morning. :( Of course that was our cabana rental day, Murphy's law.

The customer service at check in and check out was great! The location was easy to get too. There was ample parking. The hotel looks really nice from the outsite but inside its a little dated but cute. The room was an awkward shape but had great anemities. The balcony was barely usable.

The room was a bit awkward in shape... The bathroom as well. I wish the room was a little nicer and there was no room service done. The hotel also doesnt have a bar or anything like that. The pool was also a bit too packed and didnt have enough umbrellas. The SPA is basically useless unless you make an appoinmnet for something.

The room was lovely and the person who helped us with the suitcases was awesome. The room was well-lit and the air conditioner worked well, but was quiet! I was able to get back some money due to COVID and I appreciate that. We also enjoyed the pool, a great asset for the property. The food we ordered from room service was delicious. Also loved the wine gift - very fun!

We felt that the front desks staff appeared to be "put out" by our questions. One of the people had an expression like, "How would I know?" --while she may have been thinking that, it was not pleasant to feel like you asked a stupid question.

View and location of the room was great. Grounds and facility were excellent and beautiful. Staff was excellent.

The AC unit was a little complicated and hard to adjust the temperature for the room. Most places are much easier to adjust than this one. For a winery resort, there seemed to be very little wine tasting and it closed down too early. You would think that guests of a winery resort should be able to do wine tasting later. We were instructed to go over to the restaurant and go to the bar, which was very tiny and that seemed to be where everyone else had to go too, so it was very uncomfortable and difficult to do any wine tasting there.

Rooms were comfortable and staff was very friendly. We stayed in the Villas and it was like you had your own little apartment. Very clean, safe and pretty property!! Nice restaurant as well.

There is something wrong with their hot water system. A lot of rooms were having issues with getting hot water. Fortunately we only stayed 1 night and I did not have to wash my hair, otherwise this would have been a big problem.
