My Husband and I Traveled for our 32nd Anniversary and We drove to Reno for the day on Friday Oct 1st and while at a Casino my Husband experienced Chest pains we had to call 911 thinking he was having a Heart Attack, Long Story short He ended up in the Hospital for two days. I was alone in a city by myself now as of Covid you are not able to visit while in the hospital so to be closer to my husband I drove back to Truckee and checked out a day early from our room at The Ritz. I explained what had happened and not only did they refund me My Night stay they helped me make arrangements for a Nice Hotel in Reno where I would be safe. When I finally got to the New Hotel The Manager from Ritz was there with a gift for My Husband and I and explained there was a note inside from the staff and himself praying for us and expressed how sorry they all were this brought me to tears as it was already an emotional day, in the letter it also said that they would like us to come back when my husband is better and Celebrate our Anniversary on them. I can not Explain Honestly how Grateful I Truly was from this. Everyone at The Ritz went above of beyond and made a situation of fear and uncertainty a situation of Hope and Much Gratitude. My Husband and I Can not Thank Everyone at The Ritz Enough it is a Day we will never forget and you can always count on us to continue to visit your Hotel. We are Extremely Grateful for Your Amazing Manager and Staff God Bless you All.........

This property is in a magical spot. The staff is very compassionate with personal attention to each guests. I went here with my wife and the accommodations was very cozy. I will definitely come back here to stay.

Nothing bothered me

all good, but very isolated from town great staff, everyone one of them.

no soap in the bathroom, had one and housekeeping took it and did not replace.

Excessive upcharges. Wait for check-in cocktail. The worst was being seated next to unruly children at the fancy dinner.

The staff is very accommodating and professional and polite. Most excellent service! The suite was abundant with amenities, nicely furnished and decorated and so well appointed. The most comfortable hotel bed and pillows I have ever experienced, and spa-like bathrooms! The dining options were amazing, as are the pool and spa. The views and location are to die for!

It occasionally took a little while to get someone on the phone or to provide service, but understandable with Covid going on.

My experience is beyond my expectations. Staff is on my top list of all the good experience we had. Very friendly and professional. They always have a smile on their face and will greet you all the time.

The property is located up in the woods and surrounded by beautiful pines. Spectacular views. The restaurants were pricey but the food was very good. Plenty of outdoor fireplaces and the one in our room was divine. Short distance to Truckee and easy access to other main roads that take you around the lake. Clean and very friendly staff!!!

Manzanita restaurant needs a new chef

Location is beautiful! Amazing mountain views surround the hotel. Heated pool and free family games on the hotel grounds were an added plus! Firepits and hotel provided smores were the favorite dessert after dinner. The Ritz Carlton staff were so kind, professional and made sure we had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay.

The food and drinks were great but pricey. The kids menu was filled with a good variety but a bit expensive. Would be nice to have a snack menu available especially pool and firepit side.
