All the staff was super nice and very knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and allowed us to roam the rooms that were not occupied and the hotel. I was mind blown of the cleanliness from top to bottom . I have never seen a hotel thos clean ( I'm talking picture frames , door frames , all the deco everything ) breakfast was amazing as well . Loved the atmosphere and it was so quiet !!! Beautiful view to wake up to and rooms for everyone's budget. Definitely going back .I had the best sleep in a long time and they offered shuttle service to the casinos which is nice if you want to have a few drinks and don't want to drive.

That we only got to stay one night , I didn't want to leave lol

Beautiful location in a historical and natural sense. The hotel feels more like a museum and all the decorations and attention to detail are great. It is also located on a nice hillside with great views and just outside the historical gold mining ton. The staff and owner we're very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and provided by a little food truck outside the hotel.

The room we stayed in was a bit tight but they made up for that with ample storage space. The also have bigger rooms so you have a choice. The fridge in the room also got loud when it was cooling.

The staff was incredibly friendly and each of them shared great information about the town history and things to do and see. Breakfast was great, had the breakfast burritos with green chili and they were awesome. The hotel has kept the theme and feel of the old county hospital. History oozes from every corner of the hotel. Extremely welcoming team at the inn, I would definitely go back. Great alternative to staying at a casino hotel and getting to know the whole area as opposed to being focused on the casinos.

The breakfast meals we ate there were delicious. We had the pancakes; eggs, hash browns, & Texas toast; yogurt parfait; and breakfast burrito. The owners/employees were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed being in the country at the edge of town where it was peaceful. There were lots of available seating areas outside for relaxation. The flowers and hummingbird feeders were nice.

We noticed that there weren’t very many garbage receptacles around the facility. We parked behind or to the side of the house sometimes, and did not find a place to put our trash, so we kept it in our vehicle.

It was a super neat place to stay, lots of history behind it. Everyone was super kind and informative.

The bed we slept in was super hard, so I wasn't much of a fan of that; however, if you like harder beds, it's the place you go! I do know there are softer beds though, because a family I spoke to that was also staying there said there's was like a memory foam soft bed.

The location was great, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the beds were very comfortable.

The temperature of the room was not adjustable and was quite cool at night. We found out the next morning that a small space heater was tucked away in the bedside cabinet. We would just recommend letting customers know that this is available in the room...or having it stored in a more easily seen space.

The hotel is beautiful! Staff was amazing and so kind. We stayed for our anniversary and it was so quiet and they even gave us a plate of homemade cookies in our room with a card. Between that and the friendly staff and quiet location, it made us feel like we were home.

The only down side were the beds. They were a little hard but if you like hard beds then they would be great!

Very unique place. Hostess was great!!! My flight to Denver was delayed so I couldn’t be there by 9pm. After that time checkin is usually by phone. The hostess stayed there until after midnight to help us get settled and provided so much helpful information. We only stayed there 1 night but would have liked to stay longer.

Hotel takes advantage of a food truck in the parking lot to provide breakfast for the guests. I had the breakfast burrito and my husband ordered the yogurt parfait. Both were surprisingly good.

The only thing that was disappointing is that the front deck and the solarium are only open during certain hours which didn't happen to coincide with the time we were there. Wish we could have seen the solarium and spent a little time on the deck.

Mike the owner, who also worked the front desk part of the time, was an exceptional host. So too, were Jo Ann and Wanda. They went out of their way to make our stay wonderful, to include helping me print flight boarding passes and making extra copies of rental car contracts. The "food-truck" breakfast was very good and spot-on-time per the phone ordering process right from our room. Couldn't have found a better place to stay in this historic vacation town. The furnishings of the hotel, (former 1900's town hospital) were like being in a museum. Definitely a MUST place to stay when visiting Criipple Creek. Eddie & Wife, Waco, TX.

Nothing could have been better. This guest hotel was exceptional and a perfect match for the 1880-1910 Gold Rush Town.
