Location, breakfast, quite
The girl at the front desk during day not really friendly but not rude! Gave recommendation of where to eat and she asked what I liked and a nice meal not a bar atmosphere! Place she recommended was horrible and you ordered as you came in found your on seats and the condiments where sitting out including mayonnaise in one area not refrigerated for someone to go up and get! My husband never even got his meal! They forgot to but it in the register! Room needs better plugs! Husband has a breathing machine and the side you has to sleep on had no outlets! I did ask the gentleman the was working the desk that evening and he got us an extension cord! Really appreciate the help!

Rooms were clean and well appointed. Facilities at the hotel are great, as is the location. Exactly what we were looking for.
We stayed 2 nts on each end of our trip - the first room was absolutely perfect. The second at the end of our trip had an overpowering stink of mildew (think clothes left in a washer for days or weeks). It wasn't the bedding or carpet - it came from the AC unit. We had to turn it off and just open windows during our stay. We had immediately asked for a different room on check in, but were told they had no other rooms. Never heard any followup from them during our stay.

The entire property was EXCEPTIONALLY well maintained and EXTREMELY clean. The entire hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable. Hotel staff was the friendliest I have ever had at any hotel. I would most definitely recommend to both family and friends to stay at this property. Extremely close to everything. Above all, I would have to say the cleanliness and GREAT staff made staying here definitely worth it. The Pikes Peak view wasn't bad either :)
Having to leave. I really enjoyed all of the smiling faces of the entire staff. All the way down to the cleaning lady. Even the lady preparing the breakfast each day was extremely nice. The water in both the hot tub and pool were crystal clear.

This is a wonderful hotel - you get a lot for the low cost! The rooms are very comfortable and very clean; four pillows per bed! The indoor pool and jacuzzi are perfect after hiking - and the hours of operation are long (pool closes at 11pm). The breakfast was really good to - a nice variety (oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee). Finally, the location is very close to the main street of Manitou Springs - and there is a lot of restaurant and shopping options all nearby. Plus, the Garden of the Gods and the Incline are both super close, too.

Affordable for me, as a grandmother and great-g’ma, showing off the wonders of Colorado to my Florida grand-DIL! Manitou and Garden of the Gods were just awesome. Illness and weather driving conditions forced us to cut our vacay a day short and head back to KS. Friends told me they drove back from CO in very foggy and slick conditions the day we’d planned to leave, so I was thankful that we did get home before that weather. Brian, front desk manager on 1/1/23 agreed to refund our 3rd night but would need to wait until after the holiday weekend.
Icy parking lot was trouble for me and my knee, slick fun for 4-yr old

Complimentary breakfast has a nice variety. Hotel facility is kept clean at all times. Air conditioning is fairly adjustable and kept the room nice and cool. Location is close to Garden of the Gods & several landmarks.
Didn't like the fact that the shower gel didn't clean the body completely, it takes at least a few scrubs to do the job that regular bodywash does in one wash. It needs to be more potent.

It is clear the staff is making an effort to keep the rooms and common areas very clean. Lori, who was responsible for caring for breakfast area, worked diligently, wiping tables as soon as guests completed eating and keeping breakfast items well stocked. The Magnuson Grand Pikes Peak is located close to the center of Manitou Springs shopping district, as well as Old Colorado City. It was a very convenient base for our trip on the cog railway up Pikes Peak. Parking is plentiful and well lit, and close to the rooms. The room and bathroom area were spacious and the beds very comfortable.
Signage from Manitou Avenue was a bit difficult to see.

The view of pikes peak from the hotel is amazing. Late night swimming and the hot tub (the pool is open until 11p). The breakfast is very good, and the staff are welcoming and pleasant. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. The location is a stone's throw from downtown Manitou and Garden of the God's park. Overall, we felt very comfortable and safe there.
Bigger waste baskets would be helpful. The vending machine was cash only.

Breakfast attendant was very nice and constantly replenished the items. The lobby and most all of the areas that I saw were clean. Room was nice, as were the beds. We did not spend much time in the room though. All front desk people were very courteous and helpful.
The lighting in the pool area. Maybe it was for ambience but at night you could barely see who was in the pool. Could be dangerous for little ones. Hot tub button for jets was not marked. Just an educated guess where it was and how to turn it on. Had to help several others figure out how to operate it. This happened each night.

Loved that the entry way and hallways were clean. The room its self was also very clean. I was worried based off other reviews but I think the bad reviews were for the hotel down the street that has the same name (minus the grand) Staff was nice and greeted you every time they seen you. The balconies are small, but two people can stand comfortably on it or sit if you have chairs. Cucumber water in the front was a nice addition and they let us check in early. For a one night trip, you couldn't ask for anything else.
The door to the balcony was hard to open. Which I mean could be good or bad depending on how you look at it.
