This place will be amazing once the construction is finished. Our cabin was just totally renovated, we really liked it. The beach area, garden and piers were beatiful. We went kayaking and did some fishing from the piers (they have rods). We saw sea turtles, rays and a small shark straight from the pier. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby. The personnel really did their best to help us enjoy our stay.

The place was like semi-open when we were there, pool (looks great) was just renovated but not yet open, same with the bar. The hotell arranged access to a nearby pool area instead. When we were there construction work was still ongoing in some buildings.

We stayed in the three bedroom cottage across from the office, other family members stayed in some of the smaller rooms on the property. The three bedroom was very roomy, good kitchen with all the basics and full size refrigerator. The king bed was a little on the soft side (but I like a very firm bed), still good sleeping. Made good use of the kayaks, SUPs, and bicycles. Nice pool and docks for watching sunrise. Housekeeping and office staff were wonderful. An extra bonus was the nearby Midway Cafe for breakfasts, lunches and the famous Manny and Isa key lime pies made daily - short walk or easy bike ride. Also easy bike ride along backroad/sidewalks to Bud N Mary's and Lazy Days restaurant.

We enjoyed our stay at Pines & Palms. The owners and their staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a small attached kitchenette cottage that had a beautiful view of the ocean, and a lovely covered patio in front. Our cottage was not real big, but the bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchenette. The heated saltwater pool was wonderful, and the pool bar was open all day long and provided live music 3 of the nights we were there. The grounds were well maintained, and there is adequate parking for everyone. The facility is perfectly situated half way between Key Largo & Key West, which allowed us to travel easily both ways while visiting Florida.

The bathroom is very small, and the water pressure is quite low. Also, we were charged a $25 per day resort fee at checkout that was not mentioned on their listing on the booking.com site.

The hotel was in a beautiful part of the keys, very convenient for all local attractions and also not to far of a drive from Key West or Miami, its about the half way point. Some lovely looking accommodation properties and grounds well maintained.

After paying a small fortune for a sea view, I really didn't feel like the property we were in fit that criteria. I suppose you could argue it was close to the beach area, but not really what I had in mind. Also, after stating on Booking.com that fee included charges and taxes, I was still charged $3+ for some reason which I'm still not sure about. Its only $3, but could have been whatever they wanted really. First time I had that with ANY property I have booked on booking.com.

We stayed in the orchid cottage which was really nice. It’s directly ocean front, with an amazing view of the water, your own dock area, a hammock and chairs to sit and enjoy the view. There’s even a little grill outside. The cottage itself has everything you need if you want to prepare your own meals and enjoy them there - even a full size refrigerator, oven, microwave. They have paddle boards, kayaks, and fishing rods to use at no charge. There are also bikes that you can use at no charge. So the place is great for relaxing and enjoying the views of the water but not really for swimming., but from what I hear that’s how that whole area is. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

You can’t really swim in the water. The little “beach area” is very shallow and full of sea weed. The pool was small. There’s a little bar at the pool but no restaurant on site, although there are a lot of restaurants close by. If you want to go swimming in nicer water you’ll have to drive to a park or beach at least 45 minutes away.

Check in was easy and simple (complimentary glass of champagne a nice touch). Our view of the water was great from our patio and ok from our room. We were right next to the pool, and we did not use it, but did enjoy the tiki bar right there. Very nice to have the beach area, kayaks and pier to hang out on and enjoy. So nice to be in walking distance to Lazy Days for dinner. We would stay here again and are very glad we incorporated it into our 30th anniversary trip!

Parking could have been a little better, but still wasn't bad. We just didn't have a parking spot with our room, so had to park anywhere we could find a spot. A nice touch to have the washer and dryer, but they were a little tricky to use.

Upon check in we were offered champagne or water. It is smaller family owned, we actually had the pleasure of meeting Katie during our stay. We took a boat tour with Ian where he took us to Alligator reef lighthouse to the sandbar and captured a beautiful sunset on the way back! We saw lobster, manatee, sea turtle, sea ray, horse shoe crab all from the resort or going on paddle board/kayaks available onsite. We had a family of dolphins swimming along our boat wake after Ian was able to entice them to play! They also had bicycles and a laundry facility on-site with a pool side bar staffed with excellent servers.

We believe we were upgraded to a better room when we arrived, much closer to the water, greatly appreciated ! The property is always spotless. Super comfy king size bed. Love the pool and the use of bicycles, kayaks and paddle boards ! Walking distance to a great breakfast spot, and very close to many awesome restaurants.

Happy hour was not happy.....the bartender ( I think a fill in bartender that day) acted like it was a bother to serve us. Also we know it can't be controlled by the owner of the property, but each time we stay, there is a rowdy bunch on the saturday night which spoils it for everyone else on the property.

Cottage #10 is beachside with a stunning view of the ocean. It's a small cottage with just what you need and maybe a bit more - even a kitchen! Tiny space that's maxed out to the inch yet, well done, clean and tropical. The beach is raked each morning, a small bar near a clean, newer pool setting, great lounge chairs throughout the report, and even a nice beach and entry into the water. Our cottage was close to the larger hotel building and the free paddle board which offered lots of foot traffic from other resort visitors yet, it was fine.

The bar doesn't have a formal license for mixed drinks. It only offers beer and wine so, the tequila and rum are wine-based. It's not horrible yet, not ideal. I'd recommend sticking with a glass of wine or a beer vs. having a hard hangover with sub-par tequila-like beverages. It would be an area of improvement for the resort to change this up! Again, it's not horrible yet, a bit of a disappointment when you are looking for a tropical margarita or anything similar.

The 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment we stayed in was only a 30 second walk to the beach and pool area. We were greeted with a glass of bubbles which was lovely. Staff lovely. The use of bikes and kayaks was free and enjoyed. The pool and area was very good with a bar open some of the time with happy hour 2 for one drinks 3pm to 5pm. Great restaurants all around the area, you do need a car. You need to visit Robbies for a great meal, shopping and to feed the tarpon!! Loved the fishing at the resort our son caught his first shark! Enjoyed seeing the manatee and turtles swimming around the pontoons. We enjoyed a visit to Key West about an hour and a half away.

Would have been good to have had some chairs on the 2 bedroom balconies. Allocated parking would have been good. It would have been nice if the bar was open more of the day, for soft drinks, it was closed very early on our last night. We had the water switched off for repairs to be done but we had no notice so one of our group was left with shampoo in his hair for the best part of an hour! The chair in the lounge area was not very comfortable.
