Place was clean, updated. It was fun to stay on a houseboat and check out the fish that floated around us. We even saw a manatee once! Good air conditioning, fridge and microwave. Plenty of towels. Kitchen stocked with plates, utensils, etc. Location is actually just before Key West, about 15min from the old town section, which was not a problem for us since we had a car. An uber however would have cost us $30-$35 into the old town each way.
I wish there was a hairdryer. Also the shower at times would only come out as a trickle. One day I couldnt wash my shoulder length hair because the entire time it was a trickle (no one else was using water in our place either). Also wish they had a towel bar, hook, or anywhere to hang your bath towels, as well as anywhere (other than the flimsy wire shelving) in the bathroom to put our toiletries, etc. For the price we paid, you would expect a good shower, hairdryer and places to put bathroom stuff (easy and mostly cheap fixes for management). The middle room with the bed does not get any AC if you have the both door closed.

The experience of staying on a floating room was excellent and sitting on the deck watching the activities going on was fabulous. We stayed for a week and loved it. Watching the variety of animals in the bay and surrounding was great
The boat when we arrived was filthy and clearly had only had a cursory "clean". The linen was clean but everything else was filthy. This is easy resolved by the owners and should not put you off going.

This is a super location on a small marina just a short hop from downtown Key West. We loved the quirky nature of the Aqualodge, being on the water, and part of the working marina. The lodge itself has what one needs for a few days stay and kayak and bike rental is within a 2 minute walk as is a good bar/restaurant. What made it a 10+ for us was the wildlife--the afternoon we arrived a group of seven manatees drifted through the marina and past our lodge. This alone made it our new favorite place to stay. They returned every late afternoon to glide around for a few minutes.Towels were plentiful, the staff were available and helpful. Parking is free but can be hard to find when there are a lot of people in for charters and trips. We will return!
Our lodge (#1) was very clean, and everything worked fine. I would say the negatives are small and I mention them only so you can be prepared when you stay: it could use better kitchen equipment. We were a couple so the limited bowls, glasses, forks and spoons were okay, but only one sharp (steak) knife and a piece of pine lumber for a poor cutting board(at least I think that is what it was for?) wasn't the best as we were self-catering. A roll of paper towels was provided but no cloth dishtowel to dry dishes. A vegetable peeler and hot pads for grabbing pans would also be helpful.

I liked that we could bike to downtown Key West with relative ease. It was neat to be on the water and have a little patio facing the water. My daughter liked her bed under the roof. When we informed the office that two light bulbs were out, Jose came and fixed them for us right away. It was nice and clean when we arrived. Soap and shampoo, as well as dishwashing liquid and paper towels and a kitchen sponge were provided.
The only thing starting day two of our four night stay, little ants came into the kitchen and bathroom, I wish those would have stayed away. The bedrooms were a little tight, but we managed. It would have been nice to have about two more shower towels.

I liked the experience of being on a house boat in the marina. The size of the rooms and bathroom are about what you'd expect for a boat, so don't expect a huge hotel. The motion of the boat is not very pronounced. My mother and I both get seasick easily and we had no issues. That said, it was well furnished and had a nice "patio" at the front of the boat to hang out and watch the boats and fishes go by. The food at the marina is excellent. I'm from Florida and I always recommend eating at a marina restaurant over most touristy restaurants. You can't beat fresh seafood right off the dock!
We did have some issues with leaks from the shower, but the staff were very quick to come over and help us get things fixed.

The house boat was perfect for us. We only had three days down in the keys so everything had to work effectively and efficiently. Property was clean, location was excellent, the marina is a great place to stay with super friendly staff. We were 5 so it was a slight squeeze but the boat managed it well. Watching the massive tarpon top on the marina in the evening and the nurse sharks waiting for fishermen to clean their catch was amazing. José was on it. First night we arrived we noticed we were a couple of sheets short to make up the sofa bed, within minutes he’d come from his home with what we needed and extras at 8pm at night! From that moment we knew we’d picked the right place. Matt (I think? Sorry if I’ve given you the wrong name🤦🏻♂️) was in the marina office, always helpful full of knowledge, checked weather reports for us, a decent bloke. The staff are all local, some even fisherman, so their knowledge of reef, Sand bars, good spots and bad is amazing.
It’s hard to think of anything other than I wished we had more time there! Maybe a bigger frying pan in the kitchen and some dishwashing towels would be good but to be honest I’m sure if we’d asked José the manager would have sorted that out in no time. Oh, and the restaurant smelled awesome! Super fresh fish caught and landed just feet from the kitchen. Unfortunately we never had time to eat in but we’ll definitely do it next time.

Perfect location with a wonderful little paddle board and kayak company at the Marina. Also a restaurant on location. Unfortunately it was closed for renovations during our stay so we couldn’t try it, but heard from others that it’s delicious! The aqua lodge was so cute and comfortable. AC and TV worked great. Will absolutely come back!
The only complaint I have (if you even consider this a complaint) is the marine toilet had a bit of an odor. However, I understand that comes with staying on a boat and can’t be controlled. Was not a problem at all really.

We loved EVERYTHING about it! Everyone here are super friendly & helpful. Great conversation was made .. This is a working maria, so expect the sights, sounds and smells of it. There are mosquitoes & no-see-ums, so plan on bring the bug repellent. There are Jellyfish, Tarpon & even a Manatee or two are here for your viewing pleasure as well. There's a bar/ restaurant with some really tasty menus options. Boat, kayak and jet ski rentals are available as well at a discount for staying here. We had a great time!
We have nothing negative to say!

This is a Must Do Adventure Stay for Key West. Staying on a House Boat is truly the way to enjoy the area. This house boat can sleep up to 6 adults, or a whole passel of kids. The loft area is a fun addition for the kids to sleep. Kitchen includes everything you need, from microwave, stove, full size refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster. Perfect for a family on a budget. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was large and spacious. Yes, you are using a boat toilet, but it is just like a normal one, except you use the foot pedal and keep a small amount of water in the bowl when you are done. Just like RV living. There is a beautiful dock on the back of the houseboat to watch the manatees and other wild life. There is a store and dining on property. Best yet is you can rent a boat, rent a kayak, jet ski or paddle board. You are only 4 miles from Duval Street in Key West, and there are rental golf carts near by. Highly Recommend this Stay.
Loved every minute of it. Even the TV was easy to use. And the Coffee Maker is a thoughtful touch by the owners. Nothing like the gentle rocking of the boat to put you right to sleep after a long day on Duval Street shopping.

Lovely tiny harbor with really new houseboats and the restaurant right there. The houseboats were immaculate and spacious. The terrace was lovely to eat breakfast on and enjoy an evening snack. The bathroom was really clean. Self checkin was
The road was right on the other side of the mangrove bushes and traffic was pretty constant. The price we paid was really high compared to the regular price…I guess there was a lot of demand on our night, though they did not seem full. The mattress was waaay too soft and the pillows too.
