I travel the world for a living as a nationally syndicated journalist and radio announcer. I've seen the best and worst in hotels. This is one of the best hotels I've ever enjoyed. I first look at value and this hotel exceeds in that category. The location was excellent, the room, perfectly heated pool and facilities were second to none. The breakfast was a huge treat with plenty of options especially the wonderful happy lady at the omlette bar. The front desk staff were always happy, professional and couldn't wait to do enough for you. The house cleaning staff were super friendly and very efficient. Overall, I give this hotel a 10 out of 10. Congrats to the owners for giving us a wonderful experience. Glenn Crouter

I can honestly say that the Silver Palms has the nicest hotel staff. Everyone I interacted with were so friendly, especially Emma and Peter at the front desk. The rooms were overall good, of course there’s always updates that could have been done, but nothing that made a difference in our stay whatsoever. The hotel is in an excellent location - we walked everywhere, but we also like to walk. Everything we wanted to do was a mile or less away. I read reviews saying if you book a hotel room overlooking the main road it could be loud at night, but the rooms overlooking the pool were nice and quiet in the evening. If I ever come back to Key West, I would definitely stay here again.

Very good location, being only a 10 min walk from Duval street where all the bars and restaurants were. Room was really nice, clean and spacious with a comfy bed and big shower. The pool and pool area were good, with a nice water feature and good temperature. Friendly and helpful staff, gave us good recommendations & the free breakfast in the morning was a nice touch, with omelettes made to order! Also free parking is a huge benefit!

The extra resort fees made it more expensive than what we had originally budgeted but it was worth it and it seems as though most places in key west do this.

The location is very central in Key West. The Free parking option is a bonus. The room was comfortable.

The swimming pool is different from the pictures; it is smaller and next to the car park. The breakfast area is tiny and crowded (people sometimes have to wait for a seat, including in the pool area). The breakfast variety could be much better. The parking lot is also tiny, so you risk not having a parking spot with the "first come, first served" policy. On the first day, the employee making omelets let his friends/favorites skip in line. I complained to him and the receptionist, and the service was better the following days with a different person serving.

The room was clean and spacious. Nice TV. Housekeeping was excellent. The continental breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the fluffy omelets with different options. The coffee was very good too. We didn't use the pool because we were busy sightseeing and the weather was cool and windy. We liked the hotel was close to the free Duval Loop bus stop so we could go to Mallory Square. The hotel was also walking distance to the Hemingway Museum and Southernmost point attraction. The outside Christmas decorations were also very festive!

Three of us stayed in a double room at silver palms for a girl's getaway. We were very pleased with the facilities and staff. The breakfast exceeded our expectations and the bike rentals were a bonus. The daily cleaning service was appreciated as we inevitably tracked in some sand. We had no noise disturbances from the road, or roosters! Beds were very comfortable.

Everything was great! Would recommend more shade around the pool. The Florida sun is hot in August.

This was our second stay at the Silver Palms in the last 11 months. Our room was great, clean as before, nice balcony for relaxing of a late evening. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, from the front desk to the housekeeping crew, always with a kind word and a smile. The breakfast is very simple but very fresh and includes everything that a person would need. The made to order omelets are awesome and really add to the overall breakfast experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Key West, it's on the main drag to Duval Street, the highlight of any visitors trip to the Keys.

Definitely would recommend Silver Palms Inn for a stay at Key West. The location is nice, with a CVS open 24h down Truman Avenue, and Duval Street is at walking distance from the property. Staff's support was superb, and the room was nicely equipped. The in-property parking is also very helpful, as it is better to walk around Key West.

Not that it was a big issue, but I think that the breakfast zone could be remodeled or extended. By the very beginning of the breakfast hours, the space was already crowded, and later some guests would need to use the tables by the pool to have breakfast.

Silver Palms Inn is a good hotel with super friendly staff. The fact of having (rental) bicycles at the hotel is a bonus. Breakfast is served at the hotel (inside or outside near the pool) and they offer a nice selection of freshly made eggs/omelets. Only minus regarding the breakfast is the extensive use of plastic: everything is served in plastic (cups, plates, cutlery)

Very noisy AIRCO in the room (which was explained through a "sorry note" in the room but it was too loud to have a good sleep). Temperature of the water in the pool was too high - no way of getting refreshed in the pool.
