Entire hotel exceeded expectations. We spent a few days at a Orlando Universal Resort and were very disappointed in the hotel. We wanted to to go to the beach next and picked New Smyrna at random and thought the Best Western sounded fine for our wants. It SAVED the vacation! The room was clean and comfortable and had a great view. The staff was so friendly and helpful. At one point, our microwave wouldn't turn on. Maintenance had a replacement in less than 10 minutes. My kids' hot pocket emergency was saved! It was a fantastic stay and we'll definitely return.

Access to the beach was limited but that was no fault of the hotel - simply aftermath of a hurricane.

Very nice breakfast. The staff there was very on top of refilling. Scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, pancakes, pastries/bagels/toast, Juice.

Disorganized! Pancake machine placement was the cause. Maybe clearer signage would have helped. Guest entering did not realize that the line was only to the pancake station and not to the rest of the items on the counter until they had almost reached the pancake station. Of which the pancake station takes a bit of time. This was not in any way the fault of staff! As I said before, they were very on top of it.

The hotel room was very spacious! Great view of the beach. The beds were comfortable. The staff were all very pleasant throughout the entire stay. The onsite restaurant was fabulous.

The sofa in the room was worn out, it seemed broken. The blinds were also broken. There is not enough lighting in the room. The hallway was dim. The is a very animal friendly hotel, I didn't know that until I got there. I wouldn't have booked if I knew that.

The view was fantastic. All rooms at a 'beach' view, but our room was at the end closest to the beach with the exception of the room right at the end of the hall which had a straight view of the beach from both directions. Still the view was great! We got up the first morning and sat on the balcony watching the sunrise and watching the birds fly right past our balcony. It took 3 minutes to walk to the beach. There was a place to rinse off every time we came back to the room. The onsite restaurant had a very good, reasonably priced breakfast. There were GREAT restaurants right across the street from our hotel. The Boston Fish House was a 1 minute walk (downstairs), but my favorite was La Terraza (upstairs), same 1 minute walk. Best Mexican food I've had anywhere in my life. I'll save my food review but the point is that anywhere we needed to eat, was within walking distance or within a mile of the hotel. It was a great spot.

The room was very clean, but the bathroom and sink area needed some minor repair. Caulking was coming out of the trim around the shower and sink areas. I can't say it wasn't clean, but it wasn't the highest quality. I did not complain because I don't think it was anything they were going to be able to fix without disrupting our stay. Also there was a light over the kitchen sink that never worked. Someone should be checking that when they clean up the room each day. Again, we just used the kitchen when we could see without the light.

The room was awesome, with spectacular beach views and plenty of space for our stay. The balcony was large enough to feel comfortable and the A/C was good and cold on some very hot days and nights. We enjoyed the room and would like to book this exact room in the future. The hotel is within minutes of plenty of eating and shopping options. We had a great stay!

The only thing that would have made the stay better is the showerhead/water pressure. I believe there was plenty of water pressure available, but the showerhead seemed to be one of those types that restricts the flow too much for my taste... it was enough to do the job, but took a while to shower completely. I prefer a free flowing showerhead, this allows for a quick but powerful shower experience... much easier to lather, rinse and repeat!

The king room with a beach view and balcony was an excellent choice for us. It offered a beautiful sunrise and a stunning view of rainbows from local storms, that were miles away. The accommodations in the room such as a freezer to make our own ice was a welcome surprise. Staff was always welcoming and helpful to answer all our questions, either about New Smyrna Beach or local businesses.

Actually, we stayed in two rooms during our stay. The first room developed an issue that caused us to move. On the bright side, the move was easy and fast. As soon as staff realized the room was unoccupiable, we were immediately given another room for our stay. All within 30 minutes.

Our room was nice with the bedroom being separate from the livingroom/kitchen area. We had our baby with us so that was nice. The view was good. The pool area was very clean. The restaurant food and staff were awesome!

The staff was not very friendly. We have been using this hotel for many years since we own a condo at the Oceans Reef next door and have never felt like we were a burden before this. My husband also has cancer and upon arrival really needed to use the restroom and they wouldn't let him use either of the two in the lobby. He had to wait for the whole check in process.

The view, great bed. Everyone friendly and helpful. The views from balcony 😀*!. Small restaurant on property was great for breakfast.

Small TV. Door into room didn't close all the way. Tub drain leaked. No housekeeping in our rm. ( was told on last day that we had to request.. Due to hurricane damage longer walk to beach. Would have liked notice when I booked rm

When we booked we booked for 4 people with breakfast included, When we arrived they tell us breakfast not included, I was a little confused,well I did book a couple of months prior so i figured my bad, but checked my email confirmation next morning. Went to desk and voiced my concern they gave me $10 credit for two people each day at restaurant. I did not think that was right because I booked for four guest. I think they should of at least gave credit for four meals a day, The $10 will not cover a meal. Just feel there was misleading info on the booking site

Love the location. Next time I will like more of a front ocean view. Loved the balcony

The bed was not comfortable. My husband and I did not sleep well. Air Conditioner was not cold enough. We turned it down to 65 it felt like 75. The dresser had a strong smell. It seemed clean but the smell was not good. We had a stand-up shower and the water just leaked through the floor in the bathroom.
