I like it that Monumental Hotel has a historic feel to it, given the use of traditional furniture. I did stop there enroute to traveling out of Orlando and the price is good. Regarding the question on romance... I think the building is a nice facility; it looks almost like a castle and could be updated some to give that romantic ambiance. Monumental Hotel is a diamond in the rough. It just needs some polishing and updated traditional furniture to give that romantic feel, if that’s what you hope to sell. I like the building and the location, and the staff was friendly.

The room was missing an iron and a microwave. Not everyone likes to go down for breakfast. I had my own food for convenience. The cleaning crew needs to spend quality time cleaning the shower tub. This was the downside for me. The pool area needs some new furniture, and the grounds need some manicuring and lots of flowers. Take care of the property!

I was Leary because of some of the reviews but honestly for the price it was a great stay! Yes the hotel is older than most in the area but it met all of our needs. It was my Alli’s and and I along with our friends for a couples weekend away and really enjoyed our stay! The beds were comfy and the room was clean. When we asked for extra pillows and towels they were provided right away! Some reviews were saying they were charged for the WiFi. That was not the case. They don’t charge for that! There really were only two cons about our stay and one was that there is not a complementary breakfast and the 2nd is that the bathroom on the first floor was absolutely disgusting with no toilet paper. It could have used a good cleaning or two. But other than those two things the staff at the desk was very nice and the room was very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again!!!

Some comments will make you go away, however my room was very clean at check in Quality beds and A/C for a 4-night comfort stay. I used the pool everyday and no complaints. Location is a plus, A very good option for budget vacations. It's not the best , but it wasn't bad at all. For me it's a 8/10 well deserved

The price of our stay was cheaper than most places per night. Room was spacious and clean. Quiet as well and loved being by the elevators.

There was SO much space at the pool and barely any seating or lounge chairs! You've got all this empty space, it would've been nice to lay out on a lounge chair. Also, most places have a container with pool towels; we had no clue where to get them and they were basically washcloths once we did get them from the desk. Breakfast should be included. Our rooms view was terrible but I dont really care as long as the room is a good value.

It was a great property to stay in if you’re going to be out and about all day. It’s in the middle of all the theme parks and has a lot of stores about a mile away for convenience. Overall it was clean for the price. Everything worked properly and the beds were clean.

The property is a bit outdated but that was not a concern for me as I was not in the hotel too much.

There wasn't the breakfast as advertised, the pool worked but the cleanliness wasn't there all the way. The property just needs a few updates that's all. Other than that the stay was great.

Room was recently remodeled. clean, great view, high ceilings on the first floor, makes the room feel twice the size. Pool is clean with cabanas outside that you don' t have to pay extra to use.

The hotel is clean but it does need a bit of a face lift, could use a good pressure washing and new paint. Furniture outside needs to be replaced. Ice machine is only available on the 1st floor. TV did not work was replaced but the tv was very small

Location. Clean enough but cleaning service was every other day and we were only there two days. Grand space but seen better days.

Chiefly, water temperature could not be controlled. Seemed just to be one temperature - luke warm. Also, maid service every other day.

How clean everything is and how nice and attentive the staff is I stayed for a week and will recommend it to anyone
