The location was great, being able to sit on the 2nd floor balcony and see the water and watch the sunrise while drinking coffee was amazing. Close to everything, both with walking and driving if needed was a perk, as was the pool. slightly warm water that was great to just float in and relax after walking all day, as well as start the day.

There are a few cons with this property, the cleanliness of the rooms was a little lacking. The shower curtain needed to be washed or replaced, the floors weren't the cleanest and behind the beds was very dusty with some left over papers that had been there for awhile. We only had housekeeping once in the 5 days we stayed there, so we needed to purchase some K-Cups and cheap mugs to use, the hand soap and shower gel provided were both empty. These aren't deal breakers for us, especially as the location and view were great.

There are only 3 comparable motels on Matanzas Bay in St Augustine: Marion Motor Lodge, The Bayfront Inn and Best Western Bayfront, We have stayed at all 3 places over the years, The condition of the facilities are about the same (room size, comfort, cleanliness, etc.) this property stands out because of its customer service and price. The Bay Front and Best Western were at least $75 more per night plus parking fees. That makes this place one of the best values on the Waterfront. There are newer properties in the area such as the Hilton and Casa Monica, But be ready for the sticker shock, These properties go for for a minimum of $350+ a night on the weekends,

The bed was very comfortable. I loved the a/c unit and having control of temperature. The microwave and fridge came in handy. The bathroom had storage areas. I loved that they had a swimming pool. I loved that the rooms were non-smoking and had areas for smokers. I loved the seats outside the room and on the 2nd floor had a patio area. The checkin process was easy. I appreciated free parking on the premises and the lodge has a trolley stop in walking distance. I love the location and the view. The price was the best part considering the location.

The floor was sticky. The shower door did not close completely. It kept sliding open. Housekeeping came once. I did not have handsoap for the entire trip. I had my own soap bar, so I just used it.

The room was very clean and comfortable. They had a microwave and fridge, which was nice, and a Kureg coffee maker with coffee pods. My only problem was that the bathroom is very tight, and the shower curtain was on a tension rod that broke when I attempted to pull it back. No big deal though because I could take a shower without it. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Parking is tight and limited, so we hesitated to go anywhere in the car for fear that we wouldn't have a space when we returned. But, everything is within walking distance if you don't have mobility issues.

If you have a larger car, parking can be tight, but that's just the nature of staying in an old historic town in a historic hotel. There's really not anything that can be done to remedy that.

The location was perfect. I loved being able to just walk out of our room and be in the historic district.

It's not so much that I didn't like it, it was just a little frustrating at first. The first room we were assigned to didn't have a remote for the TV, the office staff was very helpful and let us try 2 other remotes but they didn't go to that specific cable box so they didn't work. It wouldn't have been so bad if we could have changed the channel from the TV but we weren't able to do that (I have kids, so TV was a must). The lady (I didn't get her name) working up front was so helpful and apologetic. She got us moved to a different room, and all was well after that. We had a wonderful stay after that kink got worked out.

Hotel is in the perfect location. Everything in walking distance. We enjoyed the sunrise right from the 2nd floor deck...fantastic view. Room was very comfortable and updated. Loved the dispensers for soaps, shampoo, conditioner, lotion...even hand sanitizer. They didn't miss a thing. Everything you need was there. Been going to St Augustine for about 10 years and loved this place best.

Seriously couldn't find anything I didn't like. To make the place even better, add some umbrellas in the pool area for shade 😎

I specifically looked for a place to stay in the historic district of Saint Augustine during my March 2023 trip to see my parents and a college friend. this was going to be the relaxing part of my vacation. The room I initially got was a king on the ground floor. I was extremely pleased with the layout of the room. I loved that the sink area was in the sleeping area. they even have a chandelier in the room. Lots of extras that I didn’t expect from a motor lodge. after unpacking I realized there a strong odor coming from the shower, making it very hard to sleep. I notified the office in the morning. I was Thrilled when they upgraded me to their king suite overlooking the bay. Mac, the owner was extremely nice. And Manny, (another office staffer who checked me in originally) we’re both super customer service oriented… wanted to make things right. I had the most wonderful stay in my new room. The wicker lounge, chair area was just outside my door where I could see the bay and get some sun in the morning. I was able to take my jog along the Bay, seeing dolphins, many birds. The historic district wasn’t busy until a little after 10 AM. it was wonderful to get out early and get breakfast and easily walk back to my room. This boutique motor lodge is just south of the cluster of traffic. It’s perfectly set up to enjoy all the historic landmarks as well as all the restaurants, but tucked away from all the noise👍

The initial room had a sewer odor problem. But they moved me into a beautiful room on a second floor.

I consider myself a bit of a hotel snob , and I got to lengths to make sure I'm picking the best of the best and let me tell you in terms of value , comfort , location and aesthetics Marion Motor lodge checks every box. Its location especially is chefs kiss , it is across the street from the Marina , steps away from dozens of restaurants and give you breathtaking views right from your window. Free parking , though it's a smaller lot we had no issues at all parking or leaving. The furnishings are modern and sleek , the beds are comfortable and the cleaning crew did a superb job. I'm so happy I choose this property for my two night trip and would happily stay there again. If you are looking for a convenient , lovely hotel honestly look no further.

It's honestly not that big of a deal but the air wasn't blowing as strong as I would have liked and the water didn't get very hot, it was warm , the showers are beautiful but it wasnt as hot as I like. Dont let EITHER of these things deter you.

The cleanliness of the rooms. The convenience of walking to the attractions. But the thing I love the most was the clean pool and the free parking. Friendly staff. Ease of check out and check in. I had stayed in more expensive hotels in this location and I was charged for parking and the rooms were not as clean and the pool was always full of bugs and ridiculously small. So this hotel was excellent and it exceeded my speciations by a lot. Kudos all around

I can’t think of anything. Our stay was superb.

Great location for seeing Ole town St Augustine. Clean except for pillow shams and bottom of shower. We will definitely stay there again. The price was great. And they only charged $ 30 for my chihuahuas to stay. I don't think you would regret staying there.

The mattress is hard. And the pillow covers where shams and I know house keeping don't remove and wash the shams each time. So I didn't use the pillows. Luckily I had brought my own pillow.. other than that the place was great. Oh yes the room was small. But still worked ok for the two of us. You could tell the bottom of the shower was not cleaned. Very little parking
