Excellent fast wifi. Although reasonably small, the room was well thought out, with excellent use of space, including bench top space for cosmetics and toiletry, and good hanging and shelf and drawer space and hooks for items. The was still enough space for me to fit my yoga mat and do some yoga, which was all I wanted. The bed was very comfortable. The air con was quiet and worked well. The shower was excellent. Breakfast was great. Location was fantastic.

Only slight negative for me was lack of tea making facilities in the room. Also lack of communication prior to arrival- I had tried to email staff about my late arrival, but no reply- and when I did arrive, staff didn't answer intercom for 5 minutes and I was stuck on the street being unsure if I could enter the hotel. (check in area is not visible from the room as is on level 4) Luckily other people staying at then hotel were also outside and offered me reassurance- I would have been very stressed if they were not there.

very unique hipster vibes…the shower was very cool! we loved the mood lighting ;) The shades allowed for it to be completely dark during the day. the whole room can be controlled by the in room ipad, which made it feel very futuristic. The shared spaces (gym, room top seating, bar area) were very nice and felt European.

it was very small, I got major cruise ship vibes from the narrow room. That being said, it was very cozy and so unique that it didn’t bother us. there was also a huge draw under the bed that fit everything we had.

The location was very convenient as the hotel is in the middle of downtown and you can get to most attractions very easily by walking or taking public transportation. As a solo traveller, I definitely recommend citizenM because of how convenient everything was. The room was nice and pretty and the blackout blinds helped me sleep really well at night. The night light option was interesting too.

The iPad that had the controls of most of the amenities in the room including the TV didn't work that well since I had to restart the TV using the iPad a few times for the Chromecast code to appear. The double room that I booked was perfect for me alone but might be too small for 2 guests. The price was a little high compared to other hotels nearby.

My room was incredible. High floor with a city view. My bed looked straight out onto Michigan Avenue. When I woke in the morning and opened the blinds, I was looking straight down Michigan Avenue towards Millenium Park. The room was very funky, fully blackout blinds ensured a great night's sleep. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the Loop and within walking distance of the attractions. I used to pop back to the room throughout the day, to charge my phone, use the loo, get money....it was so central. I loved it so much, I've booked a Citizen M hotel for my next city break. I didn't have breakie here so can't comment on it but it looked nice.

The elevator was very quiet and, even though I was quite close, I couldn't hear it. The shower was great and output a good amount of water that could be cool or nice and toasty. Everyone I met who worked there was very friendly and could offer good suggestions on where to go out to eat or things to see. It's quite convenient for the Blue line from the airport, being an 8-minute walk from the station making the journey to-from there very convenient.

There isn't much sound insulation from outside so the constant horn blaring and emergency vehicles makes getting to sleep difficult. I was on the 15th floor and it didn't help. On that topic, a higher floor may not be of any benefit because the North side room I was in had nothing worth seeing out the window.

Location is great, walking distance from Clark/Lake blue line from airport. Close to the lake beaches, bus stop going to the zoo around the corner. Very modern room, with central computer. Shower exceptional with two heads and adjustable color lights.

WiFi connection took some time to establish on my computer, but might be my fault. For one person, the room was large enough, might be a bit small for two, if you plan on spending a lot of time indoors.

Our room was intimate and tech-forward, with an iPad controlling the TV, lights, and blinds. We loved being able to choose our room’s location and view at check-in for no extra cost, opting for a high floor with incredible city views. Perfectly situated right on the river, the location is unbeatable, making this hotel one of our top picks for our frequent Chicago visits.

The city view from the room was amazing: overlooking the Chicago Tribune building from bed can't be beaten! Room is compact but has everything you need, though it might feel claustrophobic for stays of more than a couple of nights. The communal spaces are nice - there are lots of different spaces to sit in, and the bar is really pleasant. Location is unbeatable, overlooking the aboslutely stunning Carbide and Carbon building, with all of downton within walking distance. Hands down the best-equipped hotel gym I''ve ever used (perhaps the best equipped gym even).

The self-check-in is annoying: it feels like it's all set up for the convenience of the hotel itself rather than the guest. If I'm issuing my own hotel keys I feel I ought to be getting a staff discount for my labour. The sink outside the bathroom, in the bedroom instead, didn't work for me.

everything was super clean, friendly helpful staff. excellent service! they had toiletries at the main desk for women, toothbrush in case you forgot yours and other little things that you would typically would forget in a overnight bag. they have shampoo, conditioner in the shower which is better than most hotels with a small baby bottle. it's quiet and the aesthetic of everything is very very pleasant. The bar in the lobby area is great. has a very warm atmosphere, is very welcoming. comfortable big bed. it feels like a Japanese hotel pod.

if your a bigger person, wider, could be tight in the rooms.

The location was perfect, very close to the riverside and Michigan Avenue. The room, once we switched into an access room, was a good sized standard room. Breakfast, although $20 per person extra, was varied and of a high quality. Their chocolate croissants were delicious. The common areas are decorated with fun, bright, modern art and their terrace with large comfortable couches was a great way to relax after an exhausting day of sightseeing.

Most of the staff with the exception of Marquis, were not friendly, helpful or welcoming. There is no concierge so you're on your own. Also, the coffee machine coffee (latte, cappuccino) should have been included in the $20 per person breakfast. The mattress in the first very small room was as hard as a rock. The mattress in the access room was a bit better.
