The Location was perfect walkable for everything we wanted to do. Breakfast was ok varied each day Loved the car on the balcony

Sofabed not made up got moved as marked ready on computer but it wasn't so went back to first room. Bedding delivered but still not made up when we got back. We did it ourselves & found base sheet from last time still on! All but conditioner empty in the bath & black hair on the bottle. Disposable plates etc for breakfast why so wasteful then ran out of plates one day! Reception guy was lovely & helpful but breakfast staff a bit rude & unhelpful.

The location was really convenient and close to the conference venues and to shops and eating places. I was surprised by the spaciousness of the room. It was a corner room and it was really spacious for one person, definitely no issue for 2 persons occupancy. I like that the hotel is going green. It was also a breeze to ask for toiletries at the reception when I ran out of conditioner and the receptionists were more than happy to assist. The breakfast was great, although simple fare such as an egg dish, meat dish and potato dish, it was hot! Nothing beats hot breakfast on a cold spring morning. There was also a waffle making station as well as cereals, bread, muffins and yoghurt. I didn't realise when I booked to stay at Hampton Inn that it is a heritage building. It was a real delight and bonus to stay here!

The heating goes off at night and it was a bit cold especially for someone like me who lives near the equator. However I can understand that it is part of green efforts.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional, but I have always said, its not the place that makes it special, it's the people. Of particular note, Ryan made a significant impression, his appearance was always clean, well dressed, smart, his persona was friendly, welcoming, and his compassion in making the stay as comfortable as possible, was by far the best part about the stay. Ryan is a credit to the hotel, the industry, and he is upholding the values of customer service that I feared no longer existed, my faith has been restored. As a hotel in itself, the location is incredible, stepping out into bright lights, skyscrapers, the transport links are on your doorstep, the breakfast is fulfilling, waffle mixtures of cinnamon, red velvet or vanilla, the bar is classy, the rooms are both spacious and comfortable, served by three elevators, so no waiting around to go up or down, it could not be faulted. Oh, not to mention the classic car on display in the main lobby of the hotel, a reminiscent of the motor club that once was.

Nothing.

Great location. Wonderful, full breakfast for our family of four made the cost in the city more affordable.

They did not have the type of room we reserved available, so they actually gave us two adjacent rooms each with a double bed for the same price. This was acceptable, except the next morning the bill showed I was charged more for the two rooms so I had to stand in line and get things worked out with the manager before checking out. It all worked out but would have been easier if they had just had the room we reserved available in the first place. No reason to have to have your customers scramble when you screwed up.

Breakfast is basic but good for a quick bite and basic variety. They were flexible with check in and check out timings as they had the bandwidth. They store luggage beyond check out times too. Hot water and good water pressure.

Bathroom had a sliding door for some reason and hence was awkward. Could not be locked. The tea/coffee stations ended earlier (10 pmish). On check in they said we could take water bottles as required but on the 3rd day they changed policies apparently.

Location, view (river side), breakfast, and security all were great in my opinion.

Cleaning could have been a bit better. it wasn't terrible by any means just noticed a few things. Hallways from the elevator to the room had some litter around. Though this could easily have been for other guest throughout the day. The following morning it was cleaned up. Shower had some hair in it as well as around the bathroom. Not much but it was there to be seen.

We stayed 2 nights to go to Chosen Few House Picnic at Jackson Park on Saturday July 2nd. The location was GREAT lots of stores & eatery are all walking distance. The view was nice and my room was little small but CLEAN and pillows were soft. My husband enjoyed the breakfast on Sunday. We would stay again If we go to the Chosen Few House Picnic next year.

I really do not have any major complaint. The water pressure in the sink was cold. I had to run the water for about 5 min to get warm. It took a long time to get HOT. I did not complained about it. I'm sure the staff would of gave me a different room if needed Also, parking was half a block down the street but the price for parking was $43 dollars each night which was not bad at ALL. OVERALL everything was good!!!

This property was comfortable and clean with modern amenities, but retained the historic charm of Chicago. The rooms were well appointed including a small refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. I appreciated the tea option in the room which most hotels don’t include. The Sunday morning hot breakfast was included with the stay and was tasty indeed with a variety of options from pastries to mini omelettes. The chocolate waffles were a hit as well. The staff was very accommodating and extremely helpful and courteous. I saw one employee patiently assist an elderly traveler with the technology required to access and pay for parking. But all employees we encountered were considerate and helpful.

Great location, Close to almost everything, especially if you utilize the bus and train routes. Really enjoyed the breakfast, lots of options including egg dishes and sausage/bacon as well as make your own waffles, cereals, muffins/breads, yogurt, and oatmeal. Also, the staff was very nice and helpful! They were always available to answer questions and never steered us wrong!

Our view from the room was a mirrored building. Only upgrade available with a view was a King room and we needed two beds.

Location was perfect. We walked everywhere and found everything so easily! Anyone that we asked for directions knew exactly where our central point was. The staff were so helpful and the bonus amenities free at reception were welcomed if you forgot something also.

Breakfast was average however it came with the price in the hotel so you really cannot complain!
