Good location. Helpful and friendly staff.

Very nice rooms but I didn’t like the bathroom door not really closing though it seems there is room for it to… not much privacy with the one they have… wish they had a little more space around the sinks I couldn’t even put a toothbrush on it very easy without it sliding into sink… would be nice to have a shelf or something to help put daily used items… could hear tracffic and ppl in hall but we went to bed late(12-1am) and usually was pretty quieter by then…

All the staff was friendly. From Cleaners to the Front Desk. Everyone was very Accommodating. Alicia the front desk host was very efficient and friendly Also, very helpful. Room was Clean, Loved the bed. Lots of pillows and comfortable,Love having a microwave and fridge, parking was convenient lots of restaurants. Riverfront to walk there was 10min. Magnificent mile was a block away . Chicagos style pizza 5 min walk, Popcorn place right across the street along with Coffee. that's a plus because GPS doesn't work well in the city. there's a whole underground street so GPS gets confused.

The City was louder then expected. Hotel not far from the hospital. hears all types of Sirens. my noise machine and ear plugs didn't help. Lost a lot of sleep 2am it really got loud horns and sirens. Bathroom door has frosted glass so when someone goes to bathroom at night it lights up the whole area. Waste baskets need to be bigger housekeeping never cleaned during our stay. So we had to use dry cleaning bag for garbage, not enough toilet paper for 3 night stay

The location was very good! It was super close to everything. The river was a walkable distance, and the beans, restaurants, and grocery stores were a 20-minute walk away. It was pretty noisy from the street and ambulance sirens, but I think that’s a regular situation for the Downtown location. We got a room on the 11th floor. They were able to check us in at 3.00 pm. I called to confirm. The room had two full beds, and it was spotless. The beds took up almost all the space. I wish it had been a little more spacious. The bed and cushions were very comfortable. The shower area looked new, and the water pressure/temperature was good. The sink wasn’t too big, but it was hard to wash hands and teeth. Parking: We parked at the Rush-Ohio-Wabash parking lot using the iParkit app. It was around $55 for two nights. The lot is seven minutes' walk from the hotel.

This was my second stay at this property, and it exceeded my expectations even after already staying here before! The staff were exceptionally friendly. I came to drop off my luggage from my early morning flight as they said they could hold my luggage until my room was ready, and to my surprise, they had a room ready and allowed me to check in early. Every single staff member I worked with was exceptionally friendly to work with, even before I checked in. The room was spacious and had more amenities than I was expecting. Will be back again!

No complaints! This is more than a great value- it's an exceptional experience. Will be staying again!

When we arrived early (at noon) we asked if it was possible to store our luggage while we checked out the magnificent mile. The check in attendant offered to check if she could accommodate us early. Sure enough! And because there were no rooms with 2 double beds she instead gave us two kings. I felt she went over and above for us in hospitality. This tired momma was so grateful!! It meant the world to us. We will 💯 return to St Clair because of the friendliness and hospitality of all staff we encountered. Loved the refillable shampoo and body wash bottles. The concept and The scent!

Just a little more space in the rooms and definitely needs more counter space for toiletries etc but these are not deal breakers. We understand renovation is a challenge with the age and priorities of decades ago when it was built. The elevators are so super slow and small that we were delayed up to 5-7 minutes each time. The coffee makers are impossible to understand .. I would highly recommend free coffee on the bar downstairs. No one wants to have to pay for hotel coffee on vacay.. It is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay.

I loved the proximity to downtown. 1 block away from Mag Mile. The employees were super friendly, especially, Will! Valet service was handy bc it was raining/snowing. Loved the pillows on the bed. The bartenders at Nora’s were extremely nice! Especially Irina! Overall, great stay!!

If you’re a light sleeper, you may not like the downtown noises. The beds were ok-Not great, not awful..The amount of pillows made up for it. If you stay with someone, make sure you are very comfortable with them, as the bathroom door does not allow 100% privacy. Just sayin 😉. It was a very clean bathroom tho!!

Close to everything downtown! Rooms were small, but we didn’t go to Chicago to sit in the room. It was a great place to rest. The beds were so comfortable!

A few things could be improved to make the stay even better… windows were very dirty, hard to see out. The coffee maker in the room was awkward and the coffee options were not tasty. Our shower was missing the body wash and conditioner. We arrived late at night and missed the window to request services for our room for the next day, so we had to use shampoo only.

The staff were very polite & allowed for early check-in (1 hour before normal check-in). The location was a block from Michigan Ave & only a couple of blocks from The River Walk, Navy Pier, & Millennium Park. There were two elevators onsite, but they were a bit small inside.

I stayed on the 14th floor & noticed about ever five minutes or so, the sound of emergency sirens. I found out later into my trip that there's an hospital a block away. The room was a bit tight in space. I found out later in my trip that the only rooms that had a microwave & refrigerator were the deluxe rooms. The staff did mention that there was an microwave available on the second floor where the gym was located at. The bathroom fan didn't work while I was staying there as well.

The Staff was the friendliest we have ever encountered in a hotel. I wish I had gotten all of their names but everyone we encountered was so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for being so kind to my child. Location was ideal as it was walking distance to all the attractions we had on our itinerary and there were a ton of food options nearby.

Not really a dislike but just keep in mind it is a slightly older property that has been renovated. Ventilation could have been a bit better and the walls were thin but we honestly did not mind because it was such good value for the money.

Location was extremely central and perfect for going out and about and popping back to take breaks. The beds were comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I went with my 14 year old son for two nights and had t realised when booking that the DNC was on. My 14 year old went down one evening (Wednesday) for some water and the barman very kindly did so and was very friendly and my son commented on this and how nice he had been.

The bathroom door (room 1511) wouldn’t fully shut and it was a sliding door but wouldn’t properly shut. Also we thought there would be a mini fridge so we could put our food/drinks in there, but you had to go to the second floor for this.
