What a FABULOUS hotel with an AWESOME staff!! From the moment I checked in, the staff was on it. Extremely smooth check in. Very helpful at answering questions and fulfilling requests. The hotel is impeccably clean. My room was spotless. The hotel itself has so much character and charm it’s hard to take it all in. The food onsite was top notch.  They are centrally located within walking distance to any nightlife activity you may want to partake in. My entire stay was FABULOUS!! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Baltimore area. I will definitely be coming back to stay again. Thank you for an awesome trip!

I’m unfamiliar with Baltimore but thought the location was great. Not in the city center (which felt pretty bleak for a weekend) but close by with restaurants and bars a skip away. The property itself is gorgeous. We love the bars, the attention to detail, for having a more maximalist decor with so many crooks and crannies for dust to settle, the place was spotless. We loved our king room with a view of the city. The bed, pillows, linens and zero street noise were fantastic. The bathroom was fun. Our bathroom had windows so I didn’t experience the dim lighting others have commented on. The staff is amazing. It was my partner’s birthday but we had to come to town for a funeral. Everyone we met was so helpful and kind. From the Ash bartender making a special cocktail, the bloom bartender making conversation and providing a tasting of a recipe he was working on to the front desk staff, the manager and even one of the chefs (I assume from his top) made the day a little less glum. Circumstances made my first trip to Baltimore a little less than ideal but Ulysses made the brief time we had to ourselves pretty special. Free coffee and pastries in the morning were unexpected pleasures too.

No onsite parking but it’s a city and we found street parking right outside. Had to pay the meter a couple dollars by 8am but it was super convenient.

Every detail was so beautiful, so pristine and had great quality. Not a single thing was made with cheap plastic, everything from furniture to decorations were genuine good quality items. Good sign hangers on the doors, well tiled bathroom, great light fixtures. No ordinary boring hotel, so unique and great service. Staff was so so friendly!

I was in the King size bed room, and my only complaint is that the bed took up most of the room. It's probably because it's a historic building and the rooms may be generally small, but it was manageable for a short stay for me and my friend.

First, the hotel itself is quirky and beautiful. Our room was spotless. The housekeeping staff deserves alllllll the kudos. Second, the location is absolutely wonderful. One day the restaurant across the street had musicians outside, and the most beautiful melody could be heard in our room- but at a soft and relaxing volume. Lastly, everyone single employee I encountered was amazing. As someone who ran a boutique luxury front desk for 5 years, I can say with 100% certainty that my check in experience with Katia was phenomenal. She was genuinely kind to myself and my family. I didn’t catch the Night Auditor’s name, but he was very friendly as well!

I liked everything about the property. 10/10. No notes.

Cafe for breakfast was very comfortable and inviting, only baked goods and drinks. Many restaurants within walking distance. Great location for tourists, right on bus line, several cultural institutions within walking distance--especially The Walters.

Being treated better at check-in and before arriving. It would have been good service to have been automatically told how the elevator worked, seems every guest had to clue each other in. Hard to locate phone number online to contact hotel beforehand, none on website.

It’s a beautiful step into the past. You can tell it was glamorous in its heyday, and many of the original features are maintained, like the gorgeous mosaic tile floor. The staff were all excellent. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed and was elegantly decorated.

I’m only guessing, but It seems like they are doing whatever they can to hold onto the antique furniture in the foyer and lounge even after it’s badly damaged. To hide the damaged furniture, the lights are down so low you can’t see to read a paper. Parking is also an issue.

I can't say enough about how excellent Ulysses is—from the lovely atmosphere, to the awesome staff, to its perfect location. Once you walk in the door, you know you're somewhere special; the lobby details are lovely, and it's easy to spot the big blue awning outside when you're trying to find the place (very helpful when you're first learning your way around the neighborhood). The staff was truly great. I really liked everyone I interacted with; they were very warm and friendly. I especially liked the folks at the front desk. They had my room ready early, which of course isn't guaranteed, but was so nice after a long train ride. The room itself was adorable and very clean; I had a Queen, and everything was done in up pinks. The toiletries they provide–shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion–smelled heavenly, and were a nice little touch. I also had a beautiful view of the city. This was my first time in Baltimore and I wasn't entirely sure about the location, but the Mount Vernon neighborhood is fantastic, and Ulysses is perfectly situated in the middle of it. You're just a few blocks from the Walters Art Museum, the Peabody Library, the history and culture museum, and other cool attractions. You also have a fair amount of food options nearby, including Greek place right across the street, and some very pretty spots like the Owl Bar, and an excellent Spanish restaurant in walking distance. There's also the hotel restaurant, which was good for breakfast and a pre-dinner cocktail (I didn't try their lunch or dinner, but the menu sounded good). I had such a good experience with Ulysses that I actually decided to stay another night, which the staff was wonderfully accommodating about. This is definitely going to be my go-to hotel in the city. Highly recommend!

Very thoughtful, comfortable, and beautifully designed hotel. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was a great mix of being modern but also in keeping with the historic feeling of the building. The nice products and soft towels were appreciated! The historic building and neighborhood was wonderful. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. It was lovely.

The hotel smells clean and is very clean. The room furnishings were so neat and appropriate for the building. The mattress, bedding and pillows were extremely comfortable. The bar is a moody, cool place to have a drink or dinner.

The parking lot options end at 3 am when you pay for the 24-hour option, no matter what time you pay. We started the park time at 4 pm and had to set our alarm to move the car or pay for additional time in the middle of the night. This is not the hotels parking nor do they own any lots, but it was still a negative that will reflect on them a little. The room we stayed in was small. No other negatives to speak of.
