This place is located off the beaten path near a road that is not busy. The whole back row of rooms face over a cornfield and forest. Very, very quiet and peaceful. The spacious room was exceptionally clean and modern with comfortable beds, lighting and bathroom facilitity. The one and only minus was the fact that it is located on a line between Verizon signal towers and even with Verizon phones we could not use them. Once in awhile, the cable would just go down and we had to wait 5 minutes or so to reboot it. Very kind, personable managers on sight. Will use again

No Cell phone reception. ok for us because we are not tied to our phones like most people now days. Probably a minus for many people.

Big room, clean, great hosts! We chose this hotel for the number of beds and the cost. The hosts even included 2 Yooper bars to welcome us. We did the Puctured Rocks Sunset Spray Falls cruise at 7:45 pm and wanted a room with enough beds for our family of 5. We had to drive a little extra but it was worth it. The hotel owners were great. We arrived after 10pm and they had texted us a code that morning so we could get into our room. We left the next morning but she had sightseeing ideas for us if we were going to be staying. You can tell they love their hotel and take excellent care of their guests.

What a nice and very straight-forward clean place. Quiet environment and really nice keypad checkin process so no need to stop in to checkin which really helped as we didnt arrive until 10pm. All in all worked out great for our family family of 5. 3 more petite daughtes shared the second bed.

Only suggestion is i would have liked an addition pillow or 2 per bed w different firmness levels. The 2 provided per bed were on the medium thickness and firm. I prefer medium and soft to bunch under my neck.

2 baths, 4 beds perfect for our group and price not out line compared to other places. I liked how friendly and helpful our hosts where. I like how quiet and peaceful the area was.

I didn't like the bedroom having no air the fan did help get some circulation but it order for it to be cool the front room was frigid. I also didn't like that there was no comfortable chairs to relax on, wooden dining chairs good for breakfast not TV viewing or conversation

The room and all linens and towels were very clean, the beds were very comfortable, hot water supply was great, the mini fridge worked well and kept all of our food for the week at a cold temperature, nice sized table to eat our meals, it was super quiet, and the AC worked very well. The owners are very kind and acted like a concierge to help us plan an unexpected rainy day--the recommendations they gave were wonderful! This motel is truly like a hotel. Although the room was not cleaned during our stay (standard practice nowadays for many hotels/motels) fresh towels were always available in the lobby if we dropped off our dirty ones in exchange. We deeply appreciated this. We would very happily stay here again. The view of stars outside is also incredible.

Our six-day stay was excellent for a "Memory Lane" visit to the area. Our accommodations exceeded our expectations and the inn keepers were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Our rooms were immaculately clean and very comfortable, The location was quiet and peaceful with manicured lawns and landscaping. If you are lucky on a rare occasion you might hear the nearby cows at MSU's Research Farm across the road "sing" as they change pastures. It was an enjoyable experience staying here. s

A renovated older property, a very large, clean and comfortable room with workspace if you need to work online or spread out papers. There was also a sturdy little table for eating breakfast or whatever. Our room was on the back side of the building so we sat out watching the sunset on the little patio area, very pleasant. It is a 6 minute (?) walk to the village of Chatham, we were ate at the Chatham Pub, but for 2 nights was our home base for visiting Munising (15 minute drive) for lots of summer activities. Much less expensive than staying in Munising town.

There was no breakfast, but were told of a place to eat that was great and only a few miles away! The rooms looked like they were brand new, we asked if we were the first to stay in the room, and we're told that they had been in use for over a year!

It was a little out of the way, but well worth it! We got used to traveling to and from the things we wanted to see and do.

Very clean and really nice..one of the cleanest motels I've ever been too.Also very spacious.. beautiful scenery. Would definitely stay there again.

Um I'm not sure if there's anything I didn't like. I wish it was closer to a town. That's something they can't change though.

Cute, charming little place. Don and Lynn who oversee the inn are great (super personable, friendly, and helpful).

I had two flies and a small spider in my room, and my friend had a fly or two and a handful of winged beetles or something in her room. The doors to the outside don't have storm/screen doors on them, so when coming and going insects can easily fly in. I don't know if having storm doors would work due to all the snow come winter time, but they might help with keeping some of the bugs out during the warmer-weather months. My suggestion to any future visitors would be to get into your room quickly each time and close the door immediately behind you. Same thing for leaving the room too!
