The location was perfect! Very close to downtown/stores and shops etc, and the Bayline Bata bus stops right in front!

This is not a complaint only criticism, but most of all the clean towels had brown stains, either poo stains or make-up, but getting past that little fear and disgust, everything else was perfect, no complaints whatsover. Maybe in the future the motel can use a better bleach solution for linen and towels. And also go through the whole towel inventory and swap out the stained towels for new ones?

Location was PERFECT for what we needed. I did not try the breakfast because I had a full breakfast waiting for me at another venue. The coffee in the room was good with real half-and-half. The bedroom and bathroom were VERY clean and bright with nice decor. Room had a small refrigerator that actually worked. The cost of the room was relatively inexpensive (compared to others we looked at near by), which made it a good value for how nice it turned out to be.

One slight negative is that there is no elevator. This was okay with us even though we were on the second floor, however it could be an issue for some travelers.

This is a small, old motel. For what it is, it has been kept up well - flat screen TV, small refrigerator and a microwave in the room. No closet, but a dresser with nook to hang clothes. Very clean with newer bathroom , though like in a mobile home. Best value for the money. If you want luxury you'll pay 2-3 times as much/night. If you want a basic clean place for a few days this is it. The breakfast, again for the price, was excellent: coffee, yogurt, fruit, V-8 juice, oatmeal in ready-made cups to add hot water.

Pretty good location safe and quiet and the lake was right across the street , pretty friendly staff, rooms and everything were pretty good. Nothing fancy

The prices of the hotels in Traverse are outrageous . I live in hotels basically cause I travel for work most the year. I’ve stayed in hotels with just as nice of rooms in a well known city for $85.00 -$100.00 . It’s extremely frustrating to see how high the prices are in Traverse. To be honest I wouldn’t recommend visiting here it’s nice but not that great. Plus there are pretty much no taxis and no Ubers so very very difficult to get around.

This is a vintage motel with many great updates. The owners are very nice and friendly and very happy to help in any way. The room was updated with a new bathroom, a large screen tv. The grab and go breakfast had more options than any other we have seen! While there was not a hot breakfast, it had so many options!!! We were impressed. It is on the main street before getting to downtown so easy to get to all the places we wanted to go.

We really had no complaints. It was a great value.

The staff was friendly and very helpful! We arrived a little early and were allowed to check in early. The room was white glove clean! Not a speck of dirt or dust. Not a smudge or fingerprint on anything! The bed was extremely comfortable. We had all we needed. Mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, nice big tv, great air and heating system. They provide continental breakfast items. The location is central to everything. You get everything you need for a Great Value! This is were we will return, on our next trip!

What's not to like? It's a motel that provides basic needs and then some! If I want to sit in a beautiful room with beautiful flowers, I'll go to my local Florist and not have to pay a lot extra for it!

We found Grand Traverse Motel to be one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. The area and room were very quiet.

The only thing we didn't like was the light outside our room was very bright and it never got dark inside.

Cute motel, perfect for a night in traverse city! Walking distance to downtown, clean and comfortable hotel room, free breakfast was a great bonus! Very charming and affordable, will definitely return.

In town for a business meeting and wanted to try something different vs big chain. Did not dissapoint. Very nice.

We liked all the above. The room was very accessible to activities in which we participated. We liked that we could arrive late and still get registered although the procedure was not secure. A lock with a code would be a little better. We liked and used: cable tv, microwave,refrigerator, shower(bathroom), table, bed and area to hang clothes.

The only thing we didn’t like was the noise of the connecting rooms. I could hear and feel the conversations and vibrations of their movements.
