The included breakfast had quite a bit to choose from and was very good. The only complaint I have was that they charged $10 per night for parking. Nowhere was that mentioned in the description. Not like ten bucks is a lot of money, but it just felt like getting squeezed for no good reason. Just raise the room price by $10 and tell me its free. I would feel better about hat. There is plenty to do as well. They have a pool, pool table, ,bean bags, board games, giant com.ect 4, outdoor fire pit and lounge area. Super close to Mall of America. We were able to walk to the mall in 9 minutes. Way easier to walk than to deal with parking garages and then still having to hike to the building. TRU also offers a free shuttle to the mall.

Great to have the shuttle to the Mall of America! It was perfect and quick response to go and return each day! Great restaurant recommendations!

That the Whirlyball Restaurant attached closed before the Superbowl ended on that Sunday! A lot of local places closed early because it was a Sunday! I would have thought due to the Superbowl they would have made an exception, but that was not the case.

Seriously outstanding. The staff was super awesome and genuinely cared. The rooms were very up to date and clean. The pool was a great temperature and clean. The breakfast was probably the best part of the stay. They have many options and if you need something, they have people there tending to your every need. The pancakes and waffles were awesome. We asked for a late checkout and they made it happen no problem. They have an accommodating shuttle that runs to MOA, among other places. Up to date lobby with games, pool, and snacks/drinks to buy. This place is WELL worth the money. 10/10.

The hotel was very clean. They are obviously well staffed here because we were always seeing workers cleaning the lobby, halls or rooms. The front desk was efficient and friendly. TV made the kids happy since it had more streaming options. Very close to the Mall of America and five minutes from the airport (which is a good and bad thing—very loud planes would wake me up). That being said,great hotel but don’t expect a restful sleep. Thin walls. And don’t get near the ice machine. Seriously I could hear the neighbors’ conversations, words on their TV, and their alarms going off. I have stayed near airports around the world but never felt like the planes were landing in my room. If it wasn’t for this I would have given it a 10 but have to be honest.

Thin walls and loud airplanes

Mike the front desk person when we checked in is very nice. I liked that I was able to call the hotel and get an actual person. Beds are comfortable and I appreciated the non carpeted floor. They do not have the usual individual toiletries and soaps, but offer them in dispensers. The breakfast is nice and well stocked. They have a pancake making machine, the mini Belgian waffle maker, bagels, bread for toast and muffins. Packets for oatmeal, yogurt, juice and cold cereal. There does appear to be only 1% milk though. The gym is very nice, clean several machines and they all seem to work and free weights. I would stay here again.

Very little covers on the bed and what were there were thin. The mini fridge is very small, no freezer section.

Great location for MOA Pleasant shuttle to take you to and from the MOA and the airport.

I’ve stayed at more than a few Tru hotels and the walls are paper thin! If someone is staying a floor above you it sounds like a herd of elephants. And you can hear everything from all sides of the room. Whole conversations included! 2 different states and 3 different Tru hotels and they are all like this. The people next to me had children and they were romping around their room so much it was shaking the furniture in my room.

I love having hard floors with no icky carpet! I also like how they are mindful of not using unnecessary plastic, in little details that others might consider faults, but are really great! like no plastic bags in the waste baskets, no tiny plastic bottles of shampoo, no plastic water bottles. I arrived in the morning and was able to check in early (for a fee) and not haul my bags around town all day. I had a view of some lovely trees, felt very private. I’d definitely stay there again.

Great parking lot that was on edge of a stream that looked like a forest. Building was very new and hip Room was very modern with nice common sense hangers, hooks, huge tv, great lighting, window coverings. Bathroom was awesome with these giant tubes of body wash, shampoo and conditioner that was attached to wall The main floor had lots of neat items, like a pool table, outdoor fireplace sitting area, a little market and attached to another business with a tavern.

My GPS couldn’t find the address because the building was hidden behind another business (Whirlybird something or other) Worst continental breakfast I have had in 7 different states! No coffee maker in room but the had coffee / paint stripper on main floor 24/7 where they served the horrible breakfast.

The hotel and rooms were super clean, there is a game center with a pool table, giant Connect 4 and board games in the common waiting area. It's across the street from the Mall of America and the hotel has a shuttle to take you to and from. We didn't use our car once this trip, so that was nice.

The pool must have some super potent chlorine and chemicals because my daughter's hair was wrecked after going to the pool, both times she went. We did multiple shampoos and conditioning sessions and you can still feel the chemicals in her hair. She's never had this problem before in any pool. Also, the walls are paper thin. You can hear every pin drop through the walls and doors.

The ease of check-in the night of my stay. The hotel clerk was very personable and professional. The breakfast was good. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Upon checkout, the next day at about 11:45 a.m., I informed the hotel clerk on duty that I am checking out now, but will return to get the remainder of my luggage. (5 minutes or less on walking to parking lot) I was then told via the clerk at about 5 minutes before physically checking out that actual checkout time was 11:00 am. I informed that I was informed via reservation checkout at 12 noon. She was not very personable nor helpful at checkout. In review of my reservation, it did state checkout was 12 noon. Moreover, the manager came to explain to me that she was simply doing her job. I didn't ask for a manager as nothing was happening. Checkout that morning was not a good experience with the morning clerk.
