Breakfast was great first 2 days , had to wait for them to get out last day of stay, was there for baseball tournament, team did not get breakfast before first game, as breakfast was not ready.

asked to stay extra night, staff made it work.

Room and bed large and comfortable, location very convenient to airport, facilities well maintained and clean. Free shuttle to airport is nice and the driver extremely hospitable and helpful.

Breakfast very poor, very mediocre quality. Front desk staff okay, nothing special. Fan in bathroom inoperable, sink and tub needs plumbing work to unclog…

This property is well managed, clean, and well maintained. It has the comforting feeling of home. My husband and I were here to be with his mother during her final days of life. It was so comforting to come back to our room for a few hours of sleep each night knowing it would feel like home. The staff worked with us to extend our stay and we’re so kind. The breakfast is also amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to Kansas City.

The only complaint I have is that there were no eating establishments with walking distance, but other than that I have no complaints about the location.

Breakfast couldn’t have been better. Hot eggs and hash browns. Lots of choices. The room setup being more homelike with the studio apartment feel was a refreshing change from the usually crowded and cramped typical hotel room. Really liked the full kitchen even though we didn’t use it. The lobby was also very inviting and clean which makes for a great first impression. Overall a great stay.

Only small things that was an oversight on quality was a small dark stain on the comforter about the size of a baseball and the sheets on the bed were either put on sideways or they are not the correct size for the mattress.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. I have two special needs children and they DID everything to make the stay go smoothly!! I will definitely be returning to stay with them in the very near future!! Hotel stays are very hard on them because it is not there home. But the Residence Inn is like a mini home away from home. Any issues or questions that I had Diane was VERY Attentive to make sure ALL my needs were met. It made our stay go so very smoothly. And for that I am so very grateful!! Every staff member was so very kind courteous. Thank you all for going above and beyond.

The room was was a great fit for parents and two small kids; easy to find & get to; close enough to everything to be convenient, but also off the beaten path and felt very safe; breakfast was great; kitchenette was helpful.

The hot tub is marked as "permanently closed"; and a few small details were a bummer, like our dishwasher was wonky and tilted back which made it difficult to use, and a couple cleaning problems like chewed gum on our lamp in our room (I have kids, I've seen worse!) But nothing that would prevent us from staying again.

Breakfast was good, but needs more variety especially in breakfast meats. We loved the beds and the roomy accommodations.

One male employee at breakfast was not helpful. I guess Monday's breakfast ends at 9:30. I saw this Spanish speaking employee cleaning up, so I quickly went for more coffee. He had removed it. When I asked if I could get some, he just shook his head no.

The room! We had a Suite with full kitchen, living room area, private bedroom with 2 Queen beds. The bedroom has a door to keep noise out if one of the party is up early making coffee and eating. Beds were super comfy with plush pillows. Linen was soft not scratchy. A luxurious sleep for sure. The laundry room was right down the hall. Very convenient for washing clothes prior to departure. Bring vinegar to rinse clothing with due to all other patrons having perfume like soap. Might be a good idea to have proprietary hotel chain laundry detergent available for small cost to keep washers running good and clean no odors. The breakfast was awesome! Hot food available which is always a treat. Eggs, sausage, biscuits, ham along with waffles, fruit, yogurt and various other items. Staff were accommodating beyond expectations. My son and I were traveling by train and needed ice for our MulePacks. We trudged downstairs at 12pm after speaking to front desk about ice and met up with the front desk person toting plenty of bagged ice for us. What a delight! We are very happy with our stay! THANK YOU!

Came into town to visit family in independence. Even though it’s a bit of a drive from here I will always be returning to this hotel! It’s in a nice are where you feel safe. The rooms are beautiful and so comfortable that it made me feel at home. The breakfast is incredible with so many good options and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Seriously 10/10 this place was great!
