We've stayed here at least 4 times for about a week each time. It's not near as expensive as most other places in Asheville which definitely helps when you have to come here. We get a king room on the ground floor in the back. You hear very little road noise, and you can drive right up to the door where you're staying. Beds are comfortable, room is kept clean, breakfast has a wide range of all the usual selections with plenty of seating. Pool is bigger than most hotel pools and kept in good condition. We appreciate that the room has good lighting (so many hotels have poor room lighting!), there are towel bars in the bathroom, plenty of room around the sink for toiletries, the desk is a decent size, plenty of plugs for charging electronics, frig is a little bigger than the usual hotel frig, and there is a microwave. You can buy a frozen meal at the grocery store and heat it up, which saves on all that eating out and those jumbo portions! One thing to remember is that due to labor shortage they don't necessarily clean your room everyday on weekends. However, if you ask, they will. Staff has always been very helpful. You do need a car as almost nothing is within walking distance.

Wonderful selection at breakfast! Very good! Very, very clean room! Very nice environment!

Unfortunately, the person in the room next door to us played the television ALL NIGHT LONG! We were so tired from our trip to get to the hotel, that we slept through most of it. However, in the early morning hours when it woke me up, I did muffle the sound by putting the fan on continuously and was able to muffle the noise and go back to sleep. I considered calling the office to complain but figured that it was not managements fault that someone needed a television to run all night to sleep.

From the moment I pulled in, I felt I had a great place to stay. The location in relationship to my road trip plans was excellent, and the property was spotless. Our room was just as clean, and very spacious. The value for the price was just as good. All the people I got to meet behind the front desk were very friendly, and I ended up having enjoyable conversations with them. The following morning I was greated with one of the best breakfast selections I ever encountered. There was a woman there tending to the food area who did an excellent job keeping it full of enjoyable food, and also keeping it spotlessly clean. I will definitely highly recomend this hotel to anyone I hear is going in that direction.

The only thing that comes to mind is that early the next morning, someone had a dog in a room on the upper floor who was barking continously for a long period of time. I was well awake so it didnt directly affect me, but I was concerned about any of the other guests who may have been awaken by the noise.

It was inexpensive without compromising on anything important. They had a reasonable hot breakfast for along day ahead. The location was quiet (our building was in the back) despite a highway nearby. They were conveniently located to arrive to CLT at 5 pm and drive towards the Great Smoky Mountains NP in the morning. They had really great tasting coffee in the morning. Well above what I'd expect from a typical motel. I had a little car trouble which forced me to be an hour late for my checkout. They were kind enough to forgive it.

We have been to a budget hotels many times, and quite often we never experience a top tier property until this one - kudos. Few points, the room smells clean when we came in. You know the smell when it is clean, no hint of old dusty room vibe. Then we saw their sanitation rating was 9.0, i give them a 10! The room was a twin bed and oh man, the mattress was good, linens smells good... and the cherry on top was the 4 pillows on each bed, thats luxury on the price we paid. Also, the breakfast they have, thats the real breakfast. You see staff refilling the food, hot, and you know it's newly prepared. They have scrambled eggs, beef patty/sausage, a biscuit, and a steamed chopped potatoes with gravy - yum.

Maybe an electric kettle. An express coffee maker was present but it does not satisfy my cravings for a cup of hot noodles at midnight 😝

Great location, easy to check in and out, plenty of parking.

Room smelled a bit like cigarettes. Beds were decent, but pillow were uncomfortable. AC is exceptionally loud when it switched on. I woke up easily 4-6 times a night because it would bang anytime it turned out and it would jar me from sleep. Being right by the highway means there’s a fair amount of noise you’ll hear through the walls. My keys didn’t work after only one night which is frustrating because I had to go back and get them remagnetized.

Property was clean the staff was nice. I liked that it had a laundry room for guests

Only thing I would suggest that we didn’t like was there needs to be a door or a gate with room access room key for the continental breakfast area we seen 3 none guests eating several plates one even made three plates for himself loaded up his pockets with fruit went outside put in the car came back in made three more plates. The desk clerk had to come over there and tell him to leave. It was obvious that he didn’t stay there and was homeless. The other homeless person sat at a table and ate 3 plates of food

breakfast was good and lady in charge did a very good job.

Trying to walk down a ramp to load car with luggage and cleaning woman tried to come up same ramp with dirty laundry cart resulting in me jammed to side not able to move. i was half way down when she started to come up. Just was not enough room for two people with loads. I said something to her but she did not reply. Only time I heard her talk was with another cleaning person and not in english so figured she did not understand me when I asked to wait a second for me to get down ramp before she started. Needs more training.

I'll try to be short: this Best Western was my favorite part of Asheville, NC (not counting the well-gated and super touristy Biltmore estate). My gosh -- I could not wait to leave the downtown area of the city and come back to the BW for the sake of safety for my personal property (this Best Western is isolated from the city has a massive gate surrounding it). I cannot believe what has happened to Asheville (homelessness, crime, deterioration) but this BW had everything I needed to not feel like my planned day in Asheville was for naught. The room was well kept, clean and fully stocked + parking was plentiful. Staff members I interacted with were super pleasant and the breakfast had plenty of options. I decided to cut my time in Asheville short by one day and that was also a non-issue and it got handled by the reception ASAP. BW is generally one of my favorite chains when I road-trip and this one delivered and added more stars to this brand from my perspective.

N/A -- the hotel was grade-A. Won't knock the hotel because the city of Asheville was a massive disappointment (especially after I left my rental in a paid parking lot and saw two men looking into my car when I was standing 40ft away and decided to glance back at the car). Rest assured that you don't have to worry about that at the hotel itself as it's gated and secure but be very careful if parking in the city (I suggest a gated garage (if available)).

The bed was very comfortable, it was a really nice room and very spacious. Very clean and smelled good when we went in the room. Hiad amazing hot water in the shower.

The only thing that I didn't like was the water pressure in the shower. The water was very hot like I like it but there just wasn't enough water pressure in the shower. Also, not a lot of places around the motel to get something to eat. My husband and I had to end up running to Ingles down the road to get something to eat.
