The breakfast met all of my benchmarks for a hotel breakfast. The ham was bad. I had to throw it away. But, I love the bisquits and gravy format. I make a waffle and add gravy and egg on top. I should have used the hardboiled eggs which are a must for this dish but I got lazy and regr egged it. The fake eggs were a no also. but, The basics were there, along with fresh fruit, yogurt oatmeal cereal and juice. I would come back. We really apreciated our early check in.
(THERE WAS NOTHING THAT I DIDN'T LIKE) The view from outside our room? the ocean and ships. Yuk. (not) that was a bonus. the seals barking were cute and I could barely hear them at night. On the serious side, I hope the gentleman who had locked himself out was able to get in to his room. I realized after seeing the lock mechanism for "open door" and extra security was far different then I had ever used. He had somehow managed to engage it when either entering or exiting his room on the third floor. Very concerning and I felt bad that I didn't see if I could assist him. I thought he was just struggling with his key card.

It was a really nice stay. The room was in good shape, and the staff were ok but not overly eager to be friendly. The breakfast was good too. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
Window looked out onto a valley section of the roof, and it was unsightly. Staff could've been more friendly. It seemed like greeting people was a bit of a hassle. Lots of excess noise from neighboring room and floor above.

This is our second time staying here. We love the view of the river and the big ships through the large window. We also like being able to hear the sea lions nearby, the size of the room, and having a sofa. The proximity to the walking path along the river is also nice, especially for those of us with dogs. The breakfast was open and was good, with waffles, eggs, ham and sausage, yogurt, cereal, fruit, and a variety of bready things, etc.
It was hot in the room, and we couldn't figure out how to cool if off during the night. During the day, we could just open the window.

Bed, breakfast
We had booked months ago and was very disappointed that we had no scenic view paying that price. We were there two nights and we should have been warned that there was no view. When I asked if we could get on the higher floors was told no, that people were coming in on Saturday, we were there 2 nights, we should have had priority over guests staying one night. Just my opinion.

The front desk was awesome! Very friendly and funny, it made us feel welcomed. Very helpful with information, and the pool and hot tub were amazing and fun. The rooms were very clean and spacious for the four of us. They have a store and gas station close by and a stop for the trolly behind them that I recommend going on. There are lots to see in Astoria. It was our first time there, and we will definitely be back.

I liked the room, and location.
The sea lions were really loud at that end of the building. May want to give visitors ear plugs or recommend they run the AC fan continuously for white noise. So much plastic at the breakfast. Is there a way to switch to reusable or compostable plates, cups and utensils? Each cup was also individually wrapped in plastic.

My 3yo son and I had a wonderful stay! The pool and hot tub were awesome, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was cozy with breakfast included! I love that they allow pets also. The sea lions were right outside, which was fun, and a trolley stop was just across the tracks. Wonderful hotel where I will certainly book again!
Nothing! It was an awesome stay. We had a great time.

This property has it all!!! The only complaint my hubby had was that the seals weren’t louder he turned into a big kid hearing the barks. My daughter could have lived in the pool had I let her. The views from this place are amazing and you can see a lot of historical filming locations.

The breakfast was different each day. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The sauna, jacuzzi and pool were definitely an added bonus. We kept the window open each night so we could fall asleep to the sound of the sea lions. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and full of information on local sights.
Truly, nothing comes to mind.

Reception staff were very helpful with all of my questions. Hot breakfast was yummy. Other reviews have said they ran out of food. My stay was there weekdays. I arrived at breakfast within 2 hours of it starting and there was plenty of food. I'm difficult to please when it comes to beds and pillows because of chronic health conditions. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows just right.
Through no fault of the hotel, my water view room wasn't an ocean view room because I forgot it sits on the Columbia River not the Pacific Ocean. So while I was a little disappointed, this is a reflection of my geography knowledge and does not in the least reflect upon the hotel. It was nice to hear sea lions barking in the morning and the birds calling to each other as they flew about after sunrise.
