The property is nestled on the side of a hill among huge pines. All we could hear was the wind moving through the branches of the trees. I liked the many humorous touches. If you like a cup of coffee on a porch in the morning, this is the place to stay. Many large windows brought the outside in. Everything was neat and clean. Our host made us an excellent breakfast. We would go back again. On our way to the road two deer bid us ado.

Find the metal gate with a big American flag attached, tap in the code, drive up to the top of the hill, and just when you wonder if you’ll ever arrive, a beautiful rustic home will appear! (The next time you drive up, it will seem a short trip up the hill!). Once inside, the welcoming host will explain how the home was built and with what wood. Such a unique and expertly built home! Just beautiful! We stayed in the 2nd floor apartment which included a kitchen and large bathroom and a wrap-around porch with plenty of spots to sit and gaze at the trees, hummingbirds, and breath the fresh air. The host was friendly and cooked an amazing breakfast! Oh, wow— scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, orange juice, coffee. It’s truly a BnB, so you will have breakfast and conversation with the other guests, and if you’re lucky, the host, as well! I would stay here again.

Beth is an incredible hostess. The room was unique and comfortable. They built the house with wood off the property with attention to every detail. The house tells a story. There are bird houses and hummingbird feeders hanging about which result in frequent wildlife sightings as you rest on the many porches and balconies. The bed was extremely comfortable and a private, spacious bathroom perfectly clean. All the extras - mini fridge, extra blankets and pillows, fans, TV… Beth cooks a full, hot breakfast every morning. You dine in a sun filled room with a view of the forest. Fresh fruit, bacon and eggs cooked on a griddle, French toast, waffles, pancakes all with strawberry compote lovingly served by Beth. We stayed 3 days and enjoyed every minute. We will definitely be returning! This house is a hidden jewel!

Everything was perfect!

This was one of the most incredible finds. My only complaint was to myself for only booking one night! The gate opens to a wooded hillside road that brings you a cabin built my the owners with cedar rooms, heated floors, humming birds/ nature and a collection of artwork that you continue to comment on. The beds are covered with beautiful soft rag quilts and every amenity is thought of... but none of this touches on the amazing breakfast that was carefully thought through by a person with an incredible chefs sense. So, Yes!! I will be back and I highly recommend this place .. not even for all that I just said ,but for the quiet nature sense that you get from the minute the gate opens.

The sign says "Welcome to Utopia" - that pretty much sums it up. If you want city noise and trains honking all night - stay in Eugene. The structure is timber framed with the mortise-and-tenon joints secured with wooden pegs in the traditional way. Bravo!

This stay was like staying in a treehouse, but of course, not actual stairs ….. very accessible once you have ascended the long driveway. Beautifully appointed with so much beautiful woodwork. Handmade quilts. A feast for the eyes.

Stayed in the Yew Suite, it was stunning, wonderful woodwork fixtures done by the owner, beautiful views from all the large windows, front and back decks, wonderful shared patio, The owner was wonderful to talk to and had a very nice breakfast of waffles, eggs, bacon and fresh fruit.

Everything was great, the private road leading to the house may be a bit difficult if visiting on a snowy day.

We arrived late and I didn't have good notes about how to locate our room. No cell service and didn't know the Wi-Fi password. Able to figure it out though so no big deal. That's the only thing that could have been easier. Maybe a note left for us by the entrance or room name sent that morning with the gate code

Waffles, eggs, berries, coffee, etc! Just what I needed. The location is amazing on a very large forested property. Beautiful and peaceful. The building of this B n B was clearly a labor of love. Wonderful wood!

If I could have stayed another night. You really need to stay at least 2 nights but I had to leave. Boo.

A beautiful, exceptionally built, comfortable place to stay in the country. Very quiet and welcoming. The owner was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our room was exceptional with beautiful cedar walls. Breakfast was delicious. Outstanding stay!
