The Hyatt house is a good stay if you are interested in staying the downtown area. It’s located very close to the water and other hotels. Good restaurant options as well. We took a studio suite and it was pretty spacious. The kitchen was well equipped although we didn’t use it much. But in general there was enough space for my husband , my baby and myself. The amenities are decent. Pool is a bit small. breakfast is complimentary which had pretty good options. The staff was nice.

My only issue with the room was that the bed was queen. I would have preferred a king size bed. My other complaint is that the valet suggested to park in the Douglas parking lot which is $25 per night. But right opposite that, there’s another parking lot that costs $18 per night. Go for the cheaper one, it’s right opposite

The free breakfast was a typical free hotel breakfast, but with enough variety to satisfy most. Location next to the train made it easy to get to downtown in a timely manner. Suites were affordable, clean, spacious and comfortable. We felt safe walking outside after dark. Minimal city noises at night. Hotel staff were kind and eager enough, but would benefit from customer service training.

Valet parking was too costly for the area and pick up was chaotic leading to 45 minute delays…despite carefully following hotel instructions. There are self parking garages nearby, which are more affordable and easy to access/leave. We needed a car to help our college student move in—otherwise a car is unnecessary for a visit to downtown Portland. Some hallway rugs were somewhat worn with stains and an odor. I recommend replacing coffee pods in rooms with higher quality like Starbucks or Peets.

Very nice hotel, clean and friendly staff. Great location, easy walk to waterfront walking trail by river. Lime scooters on walking trail are fun to cruise on. lounge/restaurant was nice, but the seating was not so comfortable. All the seats were hard seats and no comfortable padded seating. Restaurant/snack bar had fast food - typical fried foods and some salads options. Other restaurants within walking. There is some parking on the side of the hotel. Paid parking until 7 pm, then free the rest of the night until early morning 8 or 9 AM . Valet parking is around $50 -ouch. There is a parking garage about 2 blocks away if you don't mind the walk. It was $13 for the night - I think this was a special rate for Sunday evening. Lastly, I felt safe walking around. I would recommend this hotel.

Hard chairs in lounge

The breakfast was excellent with lots of variety and options for various food needs. Staff were helpful. Our room, which was a double suite, was clean and quiet. The central air was comfortable and quiet. We had lots of space and a kitchen, which seemed well appointed. We hardly used it since breakfast was so good and we chose to eat at nearby restaurants for dinner. Had we wanted to cook, groceries were not nearby, so planning for that in advance would be recommended.

We chose to park in a lot down the block, which cost half of the valet cost.

Great hotel and helpful staff. I had a housekeeper willing to carry my laundry to the washer, other staff helped me finish packing. The building is modern and luxe. The beds are not too high and the toilets not too small or low (I'm using a walker and glad for these features). Definitely worth the money.

Hotel staff wouldn't allow deliveries to rooms, which is good in some ways to prevent crime, but not in others because I needed help usually. Overall as someone who needed assistance to receive deliveries I was able to get courtesy help when I asked staff.at times more than one employee was at the front desk.

Amazing staff. Accomodated an early check-in for a very tired traveler(me).The beds were comfy, and the room was super clean and quiet. Breakfast spread was good. The gym was clean, and the equipment was good. Didn't get a chance to use the pool, but I did see lots of kids enjoying it there. The little area of food to buy was very helpful for a late night ice cream craving. Smaller ice cream cups are available for sale with lots of other snacks.

Although i didn't use it, the pool seemed small for the size of the hotel and the number of guests it accommodates.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and there was plenty of lighting with a beautiful view of the city. The bathrooms went beyond my expectations, clean, roomy, and filled with enough towels and supplies to last me for my whole stay! Absolutely comfortable bed!!!

I had hung up a "please do no disturb" door knob hang tag on a Saturday morning. In the middle of my last night staying in my room, there was a small group of people that loudly banged on my door. I heard some of them laughing, I think they were drunk. I didn't get up because I was too tired, but they sounded rude and obnoxious. This has nothing to do with the hotel itself because I understand that the people were also staying somewhere in the hotel and were not staff.

the room was great it had everything we could ever need. The coffee in the lobby was way better then what was in the rooms, and the breakfast had amazing option well with the exception of no bacon.

NO BACON with breakfast was a mild bummer. I could smell it in the elevator and started craving it but there was no bacon. Parking was a bigger bummer. $50 extra to park or risk getting a ticket. We ended up paying to park on the street because it was less than half the price but the only downfall is you have to get out there before 8am to pay for the next day or risk getting a ticket. Which the guy was waiting at 7:50 with his clipboard ready to get those parking tickets.

We got there at almost midnight. The staff that greeted us let us know that the valet parking on sight was closed. She automatically gave us an alternative parking spot location and got us checked in quickly. In the morning I was able to get breakfast and enjoy the amenities they offered on-site for myself and my family.

I got there late and found out I had a fully operational kitchen. Only beeing there for one night. I wish I had read the amenities list. I also didn't like I only booked it for a night my next trip to Portland I will be definitely be staying here again. It was one of the better places I have stayed in my travels

This hotel exceeded my expectations. My family enjoyed the indoor pool, laundry faculty, complimentary breakfast, friendly staff and cleanliness of the hotel.

Only thing I was not too happy about was the shower leaking and getting the bathroom floor wet. Other than that it was bearable for our duration of our stay there. I liked the full size shower gel with the shampoo and conditioner but I was not pleased about not having a dispensable hand soap for the bathroom sink.
