What a lovely group of staff members - friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great, the staff was helpful. The room was comfortable (and the sheets were especially soft!). The pool was lovely if a bit small. But since we were there mid-week, we had it to ourselves. I loved being able to sit in the hot tub or the sauna while my kids played in the pool. The location was EXCELLENT. We walked everywhere and I loved the little boardwalk along the river in the back of the hotel. It had a cozy small hotel feel with the benefits of a great staff and clean and comfortable rooms. I'd definitely stay again.

I wish the pool was bigger, but like I said, mid-week we had the small pool, hot tub, and sauna all to ourselves.

It's definitely one of the nicer hotels in the area. At a convenient location. I will definitely stay again, when I can afford it.

The toilet is old and worn out, very low flow flush. Also, the mini fridge suddenly got super cold one morning and froze my stuff, like the milk and berries I had in there. Also, and this is pretty standard for every hotel I've ever stayed at, but the door automatically unlocking when the handle is turned from the inside makes it stressful when traveling with toddlers. No way to keep them from walking out of the room the moment you aren't looking, like in the middle of the night when everyone else is sleeping. I wish all hotels would change that.

We stay here every time we come to Seaside. We love the location and the hotel and the staff are friendly. We really enjoyed the different flavors of water available in the lobby as we were coming and going throughout the day.

The hallways were kept very warm for summertime and not cooled enough with AC. Was very uncomfortable getting to and from our room. The cookies were only available for a very short time frame. We would rather have the cookies more available and couldn’t care less about the chowder.

It's an old hotel that has been updated reasonably, is nice looking inside and comfortable. The room was comfortable, the beds were nice, and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was decent as hotel buffets go, at least there was some cooked food (scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, ...) to go with all the individually-packaged stuff. Wish there was more in the way of fruits and vegetables. Location on the river is good, pretty much everything in Seaside is within walking distance.

A few signs of age remain, such as the door to our toilet/shower that wouldn't close all the way, and the showerhead that was only ~5 feet off the ground. The AC/furnace was also noisy.

Overall it was good. The staff are really friendly and I live their complimentary cookies it was so good! However our 3 nights and 4 days stay there was okay it’s just that we were hoping they would come and clean our room every night since we stayed there for 3 nights. The pool was a little greeny and salty not sure if it was supposed to taste and look like that or it’s just not being cleaned properly. But other than that we loved our stay there coz it’s close to everywhere and pet friendly!

A clean well maintained property that is centrally located near downtown shops, restaurants, and the beach. Bookings were probably fairly light during our Friday and Saturday stay which might have contributed to how quiet this stay was. It was easily the quietest experience we've EVER had anywhere. No noise in the hall, no noise from the unit above, and no slamming doors of nearby units. Our room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a couple. The balcony is super small (one chair) but might be just right for a smoker.

The breakfast is not as advertised on Booking.com. No eggs, meat, or waffles. Strictly high-carb fare of cereals, bagels, muffins, and yogurt. The only fresh fruit was bananas. A little disappointing because the breakfast selections are a major factor for us when choosing a place to stay.

1. People visiting elsewhere used your parking lot so patrons of the hotel had difficulty finding a spot. 2. Our initial room was not cleaned, there was hair and dirt in the corners of the floors, the white bed covers were stained, and the bathroom smelled like strong urine. They moved us to another room that was much better. 3. Security is an issue. There was a druggie/homeless person problem. I saw three men on bikes hanging out at night by the dumpsters and one man shooting up inside your parking lot by the hedge off Broadway. To leave one person alone at night with no security is just not safe. We could hear young adults yelling and running down the hallway on the third floor laughing, which startled us when we were asleep. 4. Comfort Inn and now The Kathryn do hire the very best people ever though. While the didn't remove the hassle of a dirty room, having to change rooms, and being concerned about security, they did everything they could do to make our stay pleasant. They were professional, good listeners, happy, friendly, and helpful. Every one of them. Of course we'll stay there again because of them. We've been staying at that location since it was built every year, sometimes two and three times a year. Thank you for caring!

The location was great. View of the river was wonderful. Loved that they offered full breakfast (the biscuits were amazing), cookies in the afternoon, and salmon chowder in the evenings. Having air conditioning in the room was perfect as it was a very hot weekend.

Only complaint was the noise from the people running around in the room above us. We called the front desk and they called the other guests to request them to be a little quieter.

The hotel/facilities were amazing! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, they offered lots of treats (cookies and infused water, chowder Friday night), tips during our stay, and board games to the guests. They even played in a little with our light family banter as we were coming and going, and truly made it a special stay for our little. Breakfast was awesome with a fantastic variety - our only challenges were the breakfast layout and parking. The other guests became pushy and the space was pretty crammed for grabbing food items, however the second morning when it was quieter in there we were able to thoroughly enjoy the beautiful seating space. Parking was a bit cramped as we arrived in a full size truck and some spaces overlapped each other. Otherwise, conveniently located centrally to everything we wanted to do, we would be more than happy to return to this facility!

Breakfast layout was a tight squeeze creating conflict with pusher guests for folks waiting in line, or myself, a momma, grabbing food for the family. Parking was tight, some spaces overlapped each other in the corners.

Loved pretty much everything about this hotel. It's so close to everything and the staff is awesome friendly and accommodating.

There was a mold issue in our bathroom which wasn't super terrible so I didn't complain. Its high up in the ceiling area not a housekeeping issue a maintenance issue. It was a little spendy considering the size of the room but the room was clean and comfortable with a nice little patio over the river so it was still worth it.
