Location was great

Needs refurbishment, valet parking very inconvenient e.g. long waiting, shower pressure not adequate, not good lighting, not very well noise insulated

The great "plus" of our King Suite at Windsor Suites was its spaciousness. And there were other important "pluses": it was, on the whole, very well equipped (dishwasher, huge refrigerator, large walk-in closet); it was in good condition; it was airy and bright; and the bed was large and very comfortable. In addition, the WiFi was very good, the air-conditioning worked well, and there were plenty of electrical sockets. Moreover, our room was always quiet and there was no vis-à-vis, which meant quite some privacy.

Unfortunately there are a couple of shortcomings to note. The plumbing was a bit weird: the shower was very powerful but the temperature could not be adjusted. (The water was always very hot but we coped with that.) In contrast to the almost violent shower, the water in the washbasin (both hot and cold) was excessively feeble. Interestingly, the water flow in the kitchen sink was thoroughly normal. We did not mind, but the "look" of our suite was definitely rather "traditional" -- surely more 1990s than 2020s. We would always opt for this spacious, well-equipped, rather old-fashioned suite instead of a slick, smallish, thoroughly contemporary hotel room, but tastes differ.

Very much enjoyed our stay in a one bedroom apartment with balcony that could sleep 6 people at a reasonable rate. Full kitchen was very nice to have. Daily housekeeping. They provide 2 types of pillows, feather and firm. Additional vanity area outside of bathroom as well as huge closet that could double as dressing room. Rooftop heated pool and workout room. Fairly quiet except for occasional street noise. Nice city views of basilica (stop in there it’s beautiful!). Loved their 2 story Irish pub (Con Murphy’s) off lobby with indoor/outdoor seating, delicious and food and large selection, sometimes live music… open til midnight and open for breakfast some days. Also a brewery next door and a great Indian restaurant nearby. Easy walk to Schuylkill River with a running path that also goes by the famous Rocky Steps. Could also walk to the popular Reading Market. Abt a mile from train station (nyc is only 1.5 hr trip).

The unit was a bit dated and could have used a few more furnishings (indoor and outdoor chairs mainly) as well as kitchenware. The hvac system for building can only be set to heat or cool.. even then, the temp of our room seemed to have no correlation to what we set it at (a lil too chilly at times). Housekeeping would only leave 3 towels for 6 person room (??)…fortunately we had extra pool towels. A bit far of a walk to the historic district, but Ubers were quick and easy to get. Closest groceries are abt a 12-15 min walk away. Pullout was not too comfy but still slept fine.

The room was extremely comfortable and the views were fantastic - top floor with huge windows and a wonderful view of the city. The lounge area was also very pleasant and had a nice supply of complimentary drinks and snacks (the muffins were especially good!), with access available 24/7 - as it was so warm it was great to have cold drinks available all the time. I was only staying one night but the pool area looked fantastic as well and had excellent views from the roof. The bathroom was very well equipped, and the entire room was nicely presented. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, storing my bags while I did some sightseeing and letting me charge my phone for a while in the lobby after check-out while I waited for my airport transfer. Location wise the hotel is in a great spot, only a short walk (less than 5minutes) from the nearest metro station which takes you directly to the airport and close to a lot of great sights.

There were only two small elevators for the entire hotel, which was a slight inconvenience when on the top floor as often the wait was quite long.

The room was very large, 2 closets with plenty of hangers in, nice kitchen area, good sized bathroom and a large living area with a great sized comfortable bed. Location is fantastic, easy access to the subway and at the bottom of street where Rocky ran (statue at the end of this road, go see!). Victory Brewing Company is across the road which is one of the best taprooms I've ever visited and there is also Con Murphy's pub below the hotel which is a lovely spot for drinks, food and sports on the TV. They leave a great food/drink menu in your room for this as well. Staff were all very pleasant, porters at the entrance always talkative and ready to greet you with a smile and offer advice (free coffee and tea in this area in the morning too). I was able to leave my luggage for free all day after check out as I had a a late flight. I'll be back here if I visit Philly again!

Nothing to add here, thoroughly enjoyable visit.

The staff was exceptional. They even made a birthday card with two vouchers for hot coco for my husband- and a box of chocolate! Sadly the original room I was in was next to noisy neighbors. Luckily Andrea from the front assisted in moving us no questions asked. All staff were friendly and made the stay extra special.

Room was rather dated and dusty. Bathroom was not enjoyable and the tub was very stained.

We've stayed in Philadelphia many times over the years, but this is the first time at The Windsor. We found the location convenient for visiting the museums and other sites. The staff was friendly and helpful - calling cabs and giving us directions etc. The one bedroom suite is large and comfortable with a full kitchen, balcony, and windows that actually open. There is a rooftop pool that overlooks the city. Our experience was very positive, and The Windsor will now be our "go-to" hotel in Philadelphia.

Great value for a clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Located walking distance from great restaurants, breweries and sightseeing made for a perfect location. We walked to Victory Brewing Company (highly recommend) and were easily able to walk around town a lot, including to catch the Hop on Hop off bus to attend many local attractions. Also within easy walking distance (1.5 miles) to Reading Terminal Market and Philly Convention Center. Grabbed a drink at Con Murphys (restaurant and bar attached to hotel) and had great drinks and amazing live music! There is another restaurant attached as well, depending on your food preferences. Very convenient for a rainy night, but still wanting to have some fun. The hotel was extremely safe, you had to use your hotel key to get into the building, and could not use the elevator up to your floor within scanning the room key either. They also had someone at the door the majority of the time as an extra sense of security. Gym was clean and have lots of equipment and machines for both my husband and I (who are very different exercisers). We didn't use the rooftop firepits due to weather (and pool was not open for the season yet), but both looked like a great spot! Kitchenette and almost a full-sized fridge was an added convenience. Would absolutely recommend this hotel, and when we find ourselves back in Philly will definitely return here.

This was a nice hotel literally in the center of everything! I liked the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. There was a gentleman in the front near the entrance during our stay who was really helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was spacious along with the clean kitchen.

The bathrooms and plumbing can use an upgrade and/or new renovation. I also would have liked to access the rooftop as that was the main attraction that made me book this location. As I arrived for check in and I asked the front desk clerk what time it opened he replied “it is closed right now and I have no clue when it will be open again that he has no idea why it was closed and I’m new here” I understood that he may have been new to the hotel however it would have been a bit more sincere of how he his delivered the information.

Location is amazing. Nice gym room and roof deck with swimming pool. Comfy bed. Good view. Really big room. Two huge wardrobes. Good kitchen items. Wifi worked well. To have garage in/out privileges order parking during check in.

Very loud from hallway - I had to put towel under the entry door. Always someone closing the door in a way that it was loud and shaking everything around. Several times I jumped in the bed. Another day couple rooms aside on opposite side someone's dog was barking as it was in my room. Oh, on last morning I ran out with hair conditioner.
