The location was great. The breakfast options were great. The night staff were really helpful. My room was big, comfortable, and clean with a great view!

Internet was unstable and the remote has no guide option so you just have to flip channels and see what's on. The lighting in the room wasn't great. No overhead light, just a small lamp on either side of the bed and some kind of weird lamp on the desk but it wasn't enough for the size of the room.

I stayed at La Quinta & Suites in Galveston after camping several days at Galveston State Park so it was great to be able to sleep without the heat, noise and mosquitoes. The staff was generally friendly, the free breakfast was fine and the room was very comfortable. It was away from the beach but within a short walk. There were numerous restaurants close by so over all a relaxing stay and I would choose this hotel again.

Overall, a good stay. It was a short walk to several restaurants but the boardwalk area was a bit of a hike so those with minimal mobility should consider that if they plan on doing any significant walking.

After reading several previous negative reviews, I was interested to find my own information. I walked in with a smile on my face and had id. & credit card in hand. It took the desk clerk less than a minute to take care of our checkin complete with breakfast info, pool hours and directions to our room. The entrance, lobby, elevators and our room were extremely clean. The hotel was apparently full, but was extra quiet throughout our stay. (There’s extra soundproofing around the doors) Everything worked correctly inside the room. The AC was very cool when we arrived.

The only negative we experienced was the hotel doesn’t provide daily room cleaning for multi-night stays. You can get fresh towels & coffee with no problem. However, quests place their trash in bags outside their door in the morning. This causes liquids to run out onto the carpet and leave unsightly stains almost in front of every door. I hope this can be corrected-perhaps with a few carefully placed trash cans in the hall. I would have no problem with disposing my trash as I went out for the day. The staff obviously works extremely hard to keep everything clean and it’s unfortunate that the hallways still look dirty.

I love that the hotel was in the same area as everything else. Didn’t have to go to far for anything.

I didn’t like how when I called for towels it took house keeping forever to come. I even saw house keeping the hall to ask for towels and she told me she didn’t have any towels. So I went down stairs to get some but I looked on her cart and she had towels but refuse to give it to me. I thought that was very rude.

The location was great. It was close to the beach and also had a Walmart next door so it was convenient if you needed supplies. On the seawall so it was close to eating, Pleasure Pier and other attractions.

Refrigerator wasn't working and filters in AC were caked with dust.

our first evening there at about 4:30pm, our door suddenly opened. I grabbed the door. there were two Hispanic young men with a laundry cart. as it turned out they were legit employees but they should have knocked before entering. we were about to change clothes for dinner. that would have shocked them. we attempted to call the front desk to confirm who they were, but no response. I went down to the desk. the night clerk was not sympathetic at all but said, “they were housekeeping. y’all just checked in too early.” when we checked in at 3:30, it was with the manager who had no problem with it. the room was clean including bedding and linens. the manager had left at this time. we reported to her the next day. at least she did apologize.

Breakfast offered was poor, it's time hotels stop using Covid as an excuse to avoid giving full services.

It was cool so being out in the hot temperatures and then coming inside was great, friendly staff, clean place, everything was good.

Our shower leaked from the ceiling like twice but that was it, staff told us to put our dirty towels out in the hall to get new clean ones and we did that but never got new towels.
