Good beds.. Clean rooms.. A working TV

The neighborhood around the hotel was bad. We actually watched people selling drugs at the neighboring motel selling drugs in their parking lot.

The location was great. I would certainly book another stay. Thanks for breakfast!

I would have preferred an ocean view. For the price, it would be better to replace the bathtub handrail, the ability to close the curtain to block the blinding parking lot lights or place a window shade and make sure the sheer window curtains are clean. I noticed what was either a dried blood stain or mucus.

Good value for the rate. Not on the Seawall, but a block from the Seawall. Clean, comfortable room. Nice little balcony. It overlooked the parking lot and 61st St., but it was still nice to sit outside and watch the sunrise.

The pool was a little murky.

The friendly staff. Especially the lady at desk when we checked out. I asked a question and she jumped to writing things down for me. Went out of her way, was an extremely great employee to the Baymont in Galveston. If only you could clone her you would have it made.

We requested a room close to entry since I'm handicapped and ohave difficulty walking very far. They said yes would try but ended up, we got the last room on 3rd floor right, farthest from the front entry. We were across from stairs but entry was at total back of property and unsafe for elderly, (we are both 78) with stairwell x 3 flights. It was difficult stay. Should have requested different room but so exhausted upon arrival we unpacked and thought we'd try. Too hard to move all our things. But honestly, we were given the exact opposite of our request. Have never figured out why. It was a Sunday night check in... thru Wed morn check out. Not busy.

It was a great value for the price. Rooms and grounds in general were well kept and clean. They did change out the towels and do some light housekeeping after day 2 of our 4 day stay which was nice. But overall we were pleased with our stay

Breakfast was as previous reviews had indicated lacked any protein which I think they need to re-examine that situation

The property is lovely, clean, and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable, and it was wonderful to wake up and step out onto the balcony. We had one of only a few ocean facing rooms.

My only complaint was the breakfast. The choices were almost exclusively carbohydrates. The only items with any protein were peanut butter, milk, and yogurt (which is still high in the carbs.

Perfect location. Room was big. bed comfy and clean lots of pillows. Great shower pressure.

There was no waffle batter available until I was talking to another guest about them being out already at 7:00am. A black lady that works there evidently heard us talking and she was at the checkin desk. Stomped over to the kitchen got some waffle batter and slammed the liquid container into the machine. Well after that there was no way I was eating there. Her attitude was uncalled for.
