I liked the nice, quirky touches in the decor of the Graduate. Also the rooftop terrace is very nice to have a drink. Location is conveniently enough. You can walk in to town or to the campus. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were very pleasantly surprised with what Charlottesville has to offer. Many nice eateries, coffee places, etc.

Rooms are a bit dated and although there are some nice details, a bit standard. We were surprised that there is paid parking in a town this size. The hotel offers paid parking in the parking garage behind the hotel. Street parking is complicated and hard to find. The games room looked nice, but was closed due to some maintenance work during our stay. Kids would have loved to play.

GREAT location on the campus of UVA. Great parking setup with access to the deck from the 1st 3 floors. Great vibe and game room for all ages.

Bring your own pillows, there’s are all feather that turn quickly into bricks. Rooms are small (like a dorm room) but comfortable, clean. Older buildings with older decorations, so electrical plugs are a premium for all of your IT. No free coffee, but had a nice restaurant on the 9th floor and cafe on the 1st to buy it.

Location was great. The bed was very comfortable. Despite a busy area it was quiet.

No place to put our clothes or unpack…. No closet… most important no coffee maker with strong coffe available… you should offer at least a continental breakfast for the price u charge… the upper deck area only serves breakfast on the weekend….. with all these complaints I’m making we would probably stay again because of the convenient location

This was a stop on a road trip from NJ to Atlanta, then Florida. After a early morning start, I liked that I could check in early. Our room was very comfortable. After resting a bit we went out to explore. Talked to Eugene(hr), Karl and Kayla at front desk. They were very welcoming and gave us some tips on where to go eat, etc. Very, very friendly.

Thee parking garage was very tight and difficukt to maneuver. .

The location of the hotel is super for UVA. Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful to us upon check-in. The coffee shop downstairs was a big convenience for us.

We did not always get towels/room service. We did have a small dog with us and forgot to take the sign down one of the days. Parking is expensive to pay each day, but is certainly convenient.

This place was awesome. I was in town visiting UVA to check out one of their grad programs. The staff here was super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. I stayed for three nights and only got in my car once to go hiking and visit Monticello. Restaurants, coffee shops, and bars are all within short walking distance (like right outside of the hotel). The university is across the street, and the downtown area is about a mile. The people in Charlottesville were great. Definitely a neat college town with tons of history. Most of the people you run into will be affiliated with the university in one way or another (or maybe just visiting as I was). The hotel is university-themed, which I thought was perfect. You might find a hotel not far from here that is a little less expensive. Trust me when I say go with this one. The environment, location, and staff make the extra money worth it. When I return to Charlottesville, I am definitely staying here!

Paying for parking is always something that works my nerves a bit. Only complaint though.

Very friendly, great location. Bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was great!

Bathroom little dirty on the wall behind the door. Something smeared. 😧 Coffee at coffee bar was pretty bad. Wish room had a Keurig. The rooftop restaurant was lovely, but very small, limited menu. For such a great view, could use a better menu.

Unique hotel with cool vibe and a good coffee shop on the main floor. Had a great looking game room and top floor bar that added nicely to the experience

Slow Elevators and no hot tea in our room although they did have coffee in the room. $5 bottles of water that were not labeled with the cost looked like price stickers came off.

I’ve stayed here before and would always come back. The location is convenient, even in walking distance to the downtown pedestrian area and a big draw is the rooftop bar. The key cards resemble student ID cards of former UVA students which is kind of cool.

The AC was very noisy in our room maybe that could use a fix.

The rooms were big, clean, and well appointed. The decor of the hotel is unique and the location is right across from Grounds and the hospital.

I can't think of anything that would have been better. Parking was expensive at $17/night if my memory is correct (I felt that it should have been covered in the room fee particularly for parents with kids booking two rooms) but valet service was included.
