I did not get breakfast and the location was great for my travels to the University of JMU. The staff was great and very respectful. I will definitely be staying here again in the near future. Thanks

a bathtub with a shower and a refrigerator that stays cold the entire visit not having to turn it back on every 2 hours. Being charged one price at the bar one night and a different price the next for the same exact drink. that was not cool. It just made me go and buy a bottle.

Location is great, and I was surprised that it was so quiet even though it is adjacent to the interstate. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful.

Our Booking.com reservation got messed up somehow (even though I had a confirmation for 2 rooms there was only one room reserved at Doubletree). The desk staff made it right but I think I may have paid more than my original guaranteed price.

Location attempted by auto is poor. Access only thru parking lots. Hotel otherwise is excellent.

Location of hotel is inconvenient to a traveler using an auto. Unless a traveler is aware that you must proceed thru several parking lots to gain access to the front door, you will be frustrated trying to even get close to the building. Traveling at night is very difficult here. Be careful not to re-enter Route 81 thinking it is the expected entrance to the hotel which takes you 4 miles North before the next exit.

Decent breakfast

Thought the breakfast was included but after getting the food we were handed a ticket and then informed the sign was posted somewhere but who’s looking for a sign? I think it would be wise to mention that during check in or make it very clear it’s not included in the price. Instead another $30 dollars was added. That’s a few dollars shy of $200.

We have stayed at the Double Tree before in Harrisonburg for various JMU events and it is always a great place to stay. Great location, close to school and other amenities. I have honestly never tried the breakfast but it is clean, the staff is great, rooms are big and the cookies are awesome!

The staff greeted us as soon as we arrived. Very friendly and courteous. The only thing is I am a smoker. The side smoking area at the stairs was huge, but no were to sit. I would like it better because it hid you away. The staff housekeeping, wait staff was great and so helpful

The breakfast was good. The location was great. Parking was great and checking in and out was great. We arrived a little before check-in. After checking in the staff allowed us to go into our room.

What we didn't like was the noise from a machine or machines. There was a buzzing noise. We like it quiet. Next time we will make sure our room is not near a coke machine or maintenace room. Also, the shower door won't open on the side of the spiget, so you have to get in the shower and move shower head over so that you can turn water on to fix temperature.

No carts to be found in morning to transport luggage to car. Had to carry all luggage by hand to car. I suggest. Keep carts behind front desk. Require driver license to use so that they will bring cart back for next customer.

The atmosphere was relaxing

Not knowing their were hidden hotel charges that overshot my budget for the booked reservation. I had to reduce my stay to one day instead of the two day booked through Booking.com and I ended up paying the hotel rate for that day which was way more than the third-party Booking.com rate.

It was clean, bright, newly renovated, indoor pool that overlooked pool which was enclosed in a large spacious room.

There was no microwave in the room.
