Great location right near state Capitol. Rates were very good. Room was very clean and mattress was comfortable. Staff were very pleasant to deal with a friendly. Ice machine was close by, which was important because there’s no fridge in the rooms.

Room did not have a fridge. How is that even a thing in 2023? ALL hotel rooms have a mini fridge these days. Nope, not this hotel. Also, the chair in the room - the “sitting’ chair (not the desk chair) looked really old, really antique, and was horrendously uncomfortable to sit on. It’s clearly just for looking at, not for sitting on. What a waste of a chair. Also, the bed had wayyyyyyyy to many accent pillows. And lastly, weirdly - there is wall mounted phone right next to the toilet. That’s just bizarre.

the check in process was seamless. The front desk woman was warm and welcoming. She explained everything i needed to know for a pleasant stay, and was also helpful in addressing my parking concerns. Overall, all we wanted was a peaceful nights rest after driving down from NYC for a ceremony the next day, and the quaint hotel and staff met my expectations. The complimentary breakfast provided help my expediant exit the morning after, so that we were able to get to our ceremony on time. Thank You :)

That we only stayed one night, but that was at no fault of the property or staff. Next time, I will book more than one night.

Great location and loved the charm. The front desk staff are so unbelievably friendly. They remember you and love to chat. They seem to enjoy their job! So refreshing! Even the valets were wonderful. Very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. It was very quiet as well.

No dislikes really other than a little tough to get a valet spot when we first arrived but they were very accommodating when I had to park somewhere else temporarily. Maybe some bags in the garbage cans. Other than that it was great.

Convenient location for visiting VCU. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was OUTSTANDING!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! The chef is amazing and the server was extremely attentive. Also, the lady at the front desk was warm, kind, friendly and very helpful!

Would like to be able to bring our small, white german shepherd with us, but she is over the weight limit and an extra $100 is a lot, especially, if it is only for one night.

The location is great it was within a mile of the venue we needed to be at. The hotel is very dog friendly, and the room service from the onsite restaurant was excellent.

Parking, valet is $32 or find a spot in the overnight garbage 1/2 block away for $20 a night. The room we were in the hallway smelled like dog urine. Had to walk about a block or two to find an area for our dogs to use the restroom. Not a lot of fun since it was raining.

Staff was helpful and nice, bed was very comfortable with exceptionally smooth sheets. Great location in downtown Richmond. Room was clean. Was able to book on short notice for a reasonable price.

Inside was a little dated although some may find it charming. I thought it was decent. Wish there was something with a USB port to make charging devices more convenient.

Would have liked handicap bars in bathtub/sower and next to toilet. I'm 83 YOA and have grab bars in shower and next to my "tall" toilet. The hotel's toilet is standard height and was a struggle for me to sit down and stand up. Other than that everything was great.

The room was large enough to be considered a suite. Great location for walking to shops and restaurants etc. Well furnished, and comfortable.

We were out of the hotel most of the day, when we returned our room was not refreshed. I went down to the front desk to inquire and was told that they did not clean rooms unless requested, however we were not told this upfront. It is a real shame because they otherwise wouldA have received a 6 star rating.

The service was genuinely friendly and thoughtful and made us feel at home in an instant. The rooms are spacious yet cosy and have a lovely view. The communication was on point and we were given more than enough consideration.

While the restaurant was pretty yet the breakfast selection didnt meet my diatery restricrions. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to include more of a vegetarian take. Also, it would be nice if the ballroom was accessible. Otherwise nothing to worry about.

Amazing room to stay in, extremely comfortable bed, clean and nicely decorated, felt like I was transferred back in time. Staff was extremely friendly and available. Will definitely tell my friends to come and come back to stay myself.

I wish there were some additional amenities, such as a microwave and fridge. Those two items would have made my trip from exceptional to pure perfection. I would have loved if my phone also did not trick me and said there was room service
