Great room-- good location

The Upcharges. Ridiculous.

Checking in with Key was prompt, friendly and she was always had a smile which made checking in pleasant. Bed was comfortable, view was great. Bigger closets then usual hotels. Door men are great very helpful because I use a walker so it is hard to open doors and walk through. I was not happy with my first room and Bruce switched me rooms with no problems no questions. Every day I was there Key and Bruce made me feel welcome there with a positive friendly smile and great personality. Highly recommended even though morning person not to nice. Did not get her name.

The room was comfy with a decent bathroom. The location is perfect. The lobby is beautiful and the staff are kind. The little bar at the bottom of this form wants me to write some more, so I'm adding this sentence for filler.

When I asked if the hotel had a laundry, I was only told about a dry cleaning service. I would have liked to clean a few shirts and unmentionables, and a normal washer/dryer somewhere in the building would have been very useful to have, and dry cleaning is far too cumbersome for this purpose as it's paid and only available on 3 days out of the week. Other than this, I had no gripes.

I just came back from a hotel stay, and I had a fantastic time! The room was clean and cozy, and the staff was incredibly nice and helpful. They upgraded our room to the jacuzzi suite when they heard we were celebrating our birthday. The hotel's location was also perfect, making exploring the city easy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay

The only slight hiccup was that the walls were a bit thin, at one point I could hear the next room running the jacuzzi so I could listen to some noise from my neighbors. But it wasn't a big deal at all, and it definitely didn't ruin my stay.

I had a wondertul 6-day stay at the Sonesta in Dupont Circle. The hotel is located in a trendy and vibrant neighborhood, with easy access to the metro and many attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the restaurant selection in the area. The restaurant Certo! served delicious Italian dishes and had a great wine selection. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Washington DC.

I used the gym only once because there was nothing to disinfect the weights.

Front desk staff very nice as were the door people. Super clean and comfortable. Others in my party booked other hotels and some met dirt and complained of bugs. Not a problem here.

Well...because of the weekend there was city wide price expansion. This was expensive but far better than most I searched. When i read "breakfast available" I assumed it was included. A bit disappointing but early walks to Dunkin were fun and more affordable. Thought the alcoholic beverages at the attached restaurant were a bit steep.

The room is comfortable, spacious, and clean. The location was close to my work (at Brookings Institution) and close to other services (restaurants, bookshops, metro and bus stations, ...). The staff was very helpful, respectful, and friendly. Special thanks to Mr. Sadeq and Ms. Tayesha for their help and assistance.

The only thing I wished I had was "open windows", but it seems that most hotels in the States and in some other countries have close windows... Alas.

Room is well decorated and comfortable. Hotel is well located, near public transit, restaurants and other amenities.

I asked for housekeeping but did not get it the first day. When the housekeeper did come, they did not replace the water/coffee in the room. Also, they charge a Guest Amenity Fee of $30 a day, which I find very expensive for only giving water and doing a so-so job of housekeeping. They did refund me the amenity fee for two days due to the issues I experienced.

Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with thick draperies and comfy sheets. Reception staff were helpful and professional. Wi-fi was reliable. Excellent location.

We were charged a daily fee for amenities, including wi-fi and bottles of water. The hotel was not very transparent about this, as with many hotels these days. I wish these items would be included in the publicised daily rates. ... The onsite restaurant was surprisingly limited and very expensive, but our included breakfast was a good value.

We heartily enjoyed staying here. The Manager was fabulous to welcome us and upgrade our room to a King with a street view. The hotel is colorful, fun, in a great location and convenient to transit and many restaurants, bars and bookstores. At a very reasonable price, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. And - wine hour at 5 pm!

It was a bit noisy with the room next door that had a child, so perhaps there could be better soundproofing between rooms.
