The cabin was very charming and unpretentious. It's like grandma's 1970s budget-remodel basement. Very cozy and comfortable, very welcoming. It was perfect for us.

If I'm required to say something negative, I guess maybe the wi-fi was pretty much non-existent. If you're going to whine about not having wi-fi in a cute cabin at the base of Mt. Ranier... I don't know what to tell you. Open a window? Go stay in Portland? Seek help?

We stayed in Room 24 on 10/8/2024 - $141.77/night. They called to confirm our arrival time, which I appreciated, understanding that the desk isn’t 24/7. Large, cute room. Fridge, microwave and coffee. Stand heater that kept the room toasty all night. The room had a stand shower – only two we’ve seen in all our travels. The beds were very comfortable with four pillows each. I’m not sure why the room had been hosed with air freshener, though – we had to run open the door, run the fan and light a candle to mitigate the smell - once the air freshener cleared out, the room smelled deliciously of wood. Decent WiFi and a Samsung Smart TV. The nightstands had USB ports and outlets. The only negatives were the wonky shower head placement and a loose board in the bathroom, which we covered with the rug from the front door. Grade B.

I saw some mixed reveiws on this place, and I was surprised because the location is great! It is right next to the entrance of Mt. Rainier. We stayed in a premium cottage and the rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. We may have stayed in a newer cottage, but either way, we were very happy with our stay.

The only thing I'd like to comment on, would maybe provide some utensils in the rooms in addition to the coffee/toiletries.

We were only here for a night to hike Mt Rainier the next day. We were a little nervous from the photos online, but in person the place was so much better than expected. We thought the cabins were adorable. RIGHT next to Mt Rainier’s park entrance which was super cool. The facilities themselves are a tad older, shower is a little tight, and room a little dim. We had zero wifi connection the night we stayed. However, we were only really there to get a good nights rest, so didn’t need anything exceptional. The place was clean and comfortable, and I would definitely consider coming back again. We also checked in after hours and the staff was friendly enough to leave us check in instructions for when we arrived.

No wifi, and tight shower.

The beds were comfortable. Had the junior suite, plenty of room. Relatively quiet. Last facility before access to Mt Rainier Park. The staff was very pleasant. You are near several restaurants. I especially enjoyed the Ukrainian restaurant, and went there a couple times. Also, The Copper Mill (call for take out-gets busy!). And the Wildberry restaurant featuring Himalayan cuisine. Quite the variety in one place!

I wish the hot water was warmer and lasted longer. You need to plan your arrival to the Inn, if you are coming during 7-3, you may run into a line waiting to go into the park, even if you are not going into the park, you are stuck. (Remember you need timed entry or you will be turned away at Park entrance)The wifi is very spotty and likely you won't have data access even with Wi-Fi and password ( all the way through the area near this part of Mt Rainier). Advise you to download any movies, shows, books etc in Ashford while you can still connect. Otherwise, enjoy being unplugged! 😁

Located right by the entrance to Mt Rainier National Park, the motel deserves its name. It is also near the outstanding Vopper Kettle restaurant where we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner (but closes at 7.00pm). Our "cabin" was large and, usefully as we were battling jet lag, had two comfortable beds in separate rooms. Parking was right in front of the cabin.

The cabins are crying out for a bit of TLC and re-design. Carpets and furnishings are worn. The heating and WiFi are eccentric but basically work.

The young man in charge was very nice and helpful. The location right next to the national park was good. Parking next to cabin. Beds were comfortable.

The room was too dark and there were no lights by the beds. There wasn’t a grab bar or a non-slip rug for the shower: fall risk. Limited TV. No railing on entryway to prevent slips. No information about the park or local sights.

Location... location... location. If you are visiting the south side of the mountain at Mt Rainier National Park you can walk to the main entrance. We stayed in the older building next to the road since that was all available at the time but it worked out fine. Based on todays prices for Hotels it was more than fair for what you got.

Air was slightly stuffy in the main sitting room and it probably could have used another window. There was an AC unit in the only window blocking all the light.

PERFECT location - literally at the entrance to Mt Rainier National Park. We had one of the newer cabins with two queen beds. It was exactly as pictured if not better and was clean, comfortable and beautiful. Wifi was excellent. The small fridge and microwave was great and beds were wonderful. We loved the reading lights over each bed and the small porch.

We liked everything. The only thing missing was coffee cups but did have a small coffeemaker.

Superclose location to the national park. Small cottages in the middle of forest (next to the road :)) with microwave and fridge. Overall cleanness is A+ but housekeeping please check the fridges always because ours was somehow turned off and all the ice melted from the freezer part of the fridge, so the whole thing was soaked in water what I had to clean…. Towels were not changed daily what made my heart melt (Although we got a few fresh ones). Finally a place what uses their common sense and not changing the towels every day, which is pointless. Let’s save water and save Earth! That is a great movement, should be like this everywehere! Ps.: National park visitors! Make sure you bring some food with yourself, because around the whole area (30 miles) all the restaurants close at 8.00pm … or earlier :D If you’ll finish your hike later and have no food… well good like to find a place to eat! ;-)
