Check-in was super easy and smooth. All the linens and towels smelled like fresh laundry which just boosted my confidence in the cleanliness of the room! Rooms look exactly as pictured in the photos, you can tell they are slightly dated but everything is clean and functional and better than what you might expect for a small town outside a national park

The floors were slightly dusty in parts, but not terribly. The table was a bit chipped on the edges and could probably use a refresh or replacement. These were minor aesthetic issues. The doors have ~0.5" gap between the bottom of the door and the floor so I could see the hallway light on the whole night, it would be nice to have that sealed.

The breakfast is absolutely amazing! The eggs, sausage and coffee were fantastic! I also loved the variety of fruit and yogurt choices. As I do not eat a lot of bread, the choices were great! Parking is super easy. It's very quiet and Becky and her husband and Jess were all really great hosts and front desk people! Super personable and professional. Very helpful with answering questions and assisting with the overall stay.

The only thing that I would have loved, is to have had my bed made up each day and a little bit of cleanup. However, I totally understand the whole Covid protocol. My sheets and towels were all clean and tidy. A bit of a bummer that they don't have an elevator. Makes is a bit difficult to carry a bunch of things upstairs.

I didn't catch the name of the woman at the front desk but she was incredibly friendly and sweet! We stayed for two nights to explore Mt. Rainier and had a great time. Room was spotless, bed was comfy, and about a 2-3 minute drive to town for groceries/restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

Very, very minor things (that would not impact my desire to stay again but might for some people): due to supply issues there was only cereal and waffles for breakfast, which was fine for us since we preferred to eat at the coffee shop down the road anyway (get the blueberry pinwheels!!). The wifi didn't really work in our room which was annoying, but we were barely there so it didn't really matter

The staff was exceptionally friendly, and made us feel very welcome when we arrived close to office closing. There was popcorn in the lobby, hot drinks available, plastic silverware which was appreciated for our microwaveable dinners, and the TV was huge. It was quiet and comfortable, and I'd definitely return.

There weren't outlets on the nightstand like I've gotten used to, and the sink area was a little small. But those are my only possible complaints.

Location was perfect for us. Right on the edge of town close to shopping and a great coffee stand, and only a few miles away for visiting family and friends camping on the Cowlitz river. Fluffy pillows and clean, clean, clean

The price is more than I'd like to pay but in line with other hotels in the area. Also missed the fresh fruit at the breakfast. One of the lamps on one side of the bed did not work

Desk clerk/manager Becky was exceptionally helpful and professional. Even came to our room when we accidentally left car door open. And had great ideas on places to eat and things to see and do in area. She’s a gem!

Only wall hook in bathroom was broken and hanging from wall. Location is much farther from other Packwood businesses than expected. No way to walk it and leave car behind a while

We liked the location, delicious breakfast (waffles especially), and the cleanliness, but what stood out the most were the staff. They were some of the friendliest, most helpful people we met on our 2-week trip. They had suggestions for local events and gave us great suggestions for swimming spots when the temperatures outdoors were reaching 100 degrees.

Our room was very nice. Although the outside appearance is lacking, this Facility was clean and accommodating. Staff were lovely! Very kind and helpful.

It would’ve been helpful if they tagged the light switches in the room. We thought our lamp nearest the window was not working and needed a new bulb. However , it turns out the switch over by the door needed to be on. Who would’ve known?

Becky could not have been more helpful! From the moment we arrived, she did everything she could to make us comfortable! It was like having a good friend be in charge of your stay. This hotel is fortunate to have her!

Since it’s an older hotel, you could hear other guests very easily.

We arrived on a day with pouring rain and the entire valley had no power. However, we were greeted by the manager and had a great chat and we decided to stay and wait for the power to come back. We were provided additional blankets, got advice where we can find food and essentials. We ended up spending lots of time with the manager/family, learned a lot about the valley and the mountains, best hiking trails etc. So while the stay was totally different than expected, it was a wonderful adventure and we loved staying there. It was all clean and the bed comfy and the location is great for when you hike Mt. Rainier NP!
