Even though we never met the hosts, we really appreciated them. Their attention to detail was fantastic and they provided lots of useful information. The breakfast, which is left in the room kitchenette before you arrive, is not just a nice touch, but incredibly helpful. For example, we were worried we were coming back so late after hiking that we wouldn't find any open restaurants, but we knew we would at least be able to eat the food they left for us! They also left supplies to make smores, which we were able to take with us hiking the next day. The room was nice and clean, the location was perfect. We will definitely come back.

Nothing, everything was great.

Lovely location, close to Mt Rainier. We really appreciated the Smores setup and extra treats in the room as well as the breakfast items being available (even though we chose to eat in town). Room was comfortable and quiet. We asked for a room near ours for another member of our party and that was also accommodated. We also appreciated that parking was directly in front of our room instead of having to walk a long distance. The owners also provided a full sized pack n play with a great mattress, which was the best pack n play provided by any of the places we stayed at on our trip. Our son slept so much better that night. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We did have some trouble locating the extra room at first because it was so dark outside and almost knocked on the door of the other apartment upstairs before we realized it was the wrong apartment. Our guest that stayed in the upstairs unit mentioned that there was an item in the room that was super noisy so she did have to turn a fan on to drown out the noise, but otherwise no issues.

The location is excellent and very near to the park entrance. There are places to eat in Ashford. Breakfast was on labelled shelves in the fridge and a labelled basket on the counter. There is a relaxed and calm atmosphere and it is very homely.

We did not see one single member of staff while we were there and it felt very discourteous to be honest. Whilst the aim is clearly to present a calm, peaceful place, it would have been nice if the host had at least come to say hello. It felt very impersonal especially with all the post-it notes everywhere. We paid a lot of money for our stay and would have appreciated even a simple hello from the host.

Location was amazing, yard beautiful as was the home. Cleanliness was superb. There was a lot of thoughtfulness that went into the decor and offerings, including a vase of water and glass cups. High quality shampoo/conditioner/soap. Room beautiful. Lots of breakfast choices and all plentiful and high quality like Tillamook yogurt!

I wish there were shelves in the bathroom to put our things on. While bathroom was large, it didn't welcome our stuff. I felt bad letting the cold water run so long to warm up (perhaps put a hot water recycler in the pipes?), but I come from a draught area, so I might be super sensitive to this. Bed a little hard. I wish we had an opportunity to meet the owners and talk to them informally about the area over breakfast or when we came in. I miss that connection and is why I don't do VRBO or even Airbnb any more as they too are very impersonal. Wish there was some fresh fruit for breakfast, especially in summer.

This hotel was fantastic! It feels more like a bed and breakfast than a traditional hotel, as our room was one of three in what feels like an old farmhouse with a shared living room, dining room, kitchen, and huge front porch. There is also a separate building with several more rooms, though guests in those rooms do not have access to the shared spaces within the main house – this is only available to the 3 rooms actually in the main house. and the owners live onsite in a trailer. Each day, the owners left provisions for the morning’s breakfast (granola, yogurt, milk, bagels, juice) and readied the coffee machine so that we could eat on our own timeline. They also left smore provisions in the dining room, should you want to make smores by the property’s firepit. The property itself is located just outside of town, giving it a secluded “in the middle of nature” feel, while still being very close to everything. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the deer in the forested yard and reading from the selection of books housed in the shared living room. The owners also provide a helpful guide about Mount Rainier National Park, with maps and details about all of the available hikes. We stayed in the Tao suite, which is entered from the living room. It is thus separated from the other two rooms, which are both accessed from a hallway off the dining room. It felt very private! Upon entering the Tao suite, you find yourself in a private hallway, from which you can access both the bedroom and bathroom. Our room was nicely furnished, cozy feeling, and spacious, with a couch, desk, comfortable bed, full length mirror, and windows on 3 sides. I liked that there was separate heating and AC we could control both within the bedroom and the bathroom (which was also spacious).

One thing I didn’t love is that the door to the private hallway that led to our room did not have a key lock on it that we could lock while we were gone, and only had a latch that you could pull across from the inside (no deadbolt). Meanwhile, the doors to the bedroom and the bathroom DID have actual key locks, so rather than just locking the hallway door to the entire suite you had to separately lock both the bathroom and bedroom doors. We didn’t want to lock ourselves in the bedroom or out of the bathroom while we were sleeping, so we were relying on the hallway door’s latch. With that said, the area is very safe, and the owners ask that the front door to the house be kept locked, so we were never concerned for our safety or belongings while we were sleeping.

The hosts were fantastic leading up to our check-in day. They gave great directions to find their inn, and the check-in process was super easy. My sister and I were so happy to see breakfast, juice, milk, and coffee in our kitchenette. We had everything we needed to whip together an easy dinner and breakfast. They also had a helpful welcome book with tons of info about the area and nearby hiking trails, which was perfect because that's why we were visiting. The inn was just 10 minutes away from Mt. Rainier's Nisqually entrance.

The suite we stayed in had two queen-sized beds, one of which was a regular bed and the other a thin mattress on a pellet. The pellet bed was very uncomfortable, so it would've been nice to have a mattress topper.

Beautiful place. We stayed in the lower level garden suite. It had a great kitchen area & dinning table to sit at. This suite came with 2 rooms. The room closest to the bathroom had the better garden view out the window HOWEVER I DO NOT recommend sleeping on that bed as an adult. It's a full size bes with a lower to the ground mattress and every move is felt on that mattress. Pretty sure it was intended for a kid to sleep on. 😂we had a good laugh after we realized the other room had a queen bed that had a real bed frame. Slept comfortably after making the switch. The hot tub was nice, toasty & relaxing but even though the instructions were there we couldn't figure out how to turn on the jets. The buttons didn't work when pressed even after following the instructions . We loved the fire pit gazebo area set up. It kitchen had a mini fridge, coffee maker toaster and a microwave which was nice.

Some road noise because the area, despite being more isolated was still close to the road way. Hotub despite getting hot didn't work right. The breakfast part of the b& b was kind of sad. It was just a bagel in a ziplock 2 little bottles of milk a few yogurts and some cheese. If you're expecting more just bring your own stuff. It rained on our second day and the entire house lost power.

The cedar suite that we stayed in was very cute comfortable appointed the lots of little special touches and extras, including an electric s’more maker, which was a nice touch and we used and enjoyed it :-) the property was quiet. The hot tub was wonderful.

No complaints about the property. The only thing I would say is that it’s not a bed-and-breakfast where you would eat breakfast in a dining area. There are breakfast foods in your room, which was fine with us, but just something to know.

It's beautiful, and so well maintained! We did not get to enjoy all of the outdoor amenities due to the weather. We arrived at our lodging tired and wet after a long day of hiking on Mt Rainier, and were thankful we didn't have the long drive home. Our room was perfect, large, well appointed, and so comfortable. The owners are amazing, sent multiple messages before, and during our stay to explain check in process, let us know about surrounding activities and services, and to make sure we had everything we needed.

Loved how cozy this place felt and the amenities which included free parking, a hot tub (though the jets were barely there), fire pit area (with wood + matches available), a s'mores kit, etc. You also get a modest breakfast with a few different options. For people planning on visiting Mt. Rainier, note that it is a short distance from the entrance but still a pretty big distance from most of the trails. Just something to keep in mind.

The door to the Tao suite was a little wonky. It locked fine but you need to apply a certain amount of pressure when closing the door to get it to lock.
