We liked the friendly staff, the rooms were clean. We would stay there again.

We did not like the fact that our first room the door would not lock only from the inside. We could not leave the room with it not locking. We asked for a different room and the staff did move us to a different better room.

It was a quick, overnight stay on may way back from Florida. It seems that the hotel is popular, the parking was almost full. Upon my arrival I saw a family coming back from the swimming pool (I didn't check the pool, but the family looked happy). The room was not very large, but I liked its design - it felt very European, almost Scandinavian and it didn't have that typical, sad vibe of hotels close by the highways. The best part was the price - comparing to similar places in Florida it was almost three time cheaper and much nicer.

I stayed only for a few hours - so I liked everything.

Very spacious, comfortable & clean room. The front desk staff was very nice. He recommended King Tut Drive-In & the food was excellent.

When I first arrived I was given a room on the 3rd floor. When I approached the room the key wouldn't work. I pushed the door & it opened & wouldn't lock. Carried everything back down & got a second room on the same floor. This one already had someone in it & luckily they weren't there when I opened the door. The third room was fine & was very spacious & comfortable for the price. I'm a smoker & I realize other people aren't & it can be very offensive. I'm not sure how to solve the issue without punishing everyone but I could tell the lady holding her breakfast wasn't pleased it the smell in the elevator.

Great value. Good location. Restaurants nearby. Good place to stop over. Continental breakfast was pretty decent. It was a surprise too as we had forgotten it was included. The only cons were the power point at desk level did not work and the only power point in the room was at floor level outside of washroom. it was inconvenient to charge our phones and battery bank there overnight as we run the risk of tripping over them at night going to bathroom Also, we only had a bath towel for two people but that was quickly remedied with a trip to front desk. All in all I would recommend this place for stop overs. It is really good value

Not sufficient power points

The staff was excellent! The room was a great size, and everything was clean. I liked having the Dollar General right next to the facility.

Breakfast is not diabetic-friendly; it was all starch-based. The other guests, although nice they were not respectful of the other guests: large groups gathering in the hallway with music and loud talking from the room next to me. They kept their door open; at one point, I walked by and someone was taking a shower while the room door was open.

Microtel Inn and Suites was conveniently located near the attraction(s) we were visiting. The staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was good and the rates were very reasonable.

Some of the rooms have been updated to the new cable provider. Some have not. The tv guide in the room did not match the stations on the television. The tv did not have a guide either. I literally had to switch through every channel to find the ones I wished to watch. Also, there was no hairdryer. There was a hook on the wall in the bathroom where one used to be, but our room did not have one. This was not a big deal given it was just my son and I. Had a female friend of ours been with us, I probably would have made a bigger deal of it.

I have visited here several times while passing through beautiful West Virginia. The Staff is Awesome. They go above and beyond to accommodate you. The common area and front desk when you enter smells wonderful and always decorated so beautifully, you can tell that they really take the time out to make it feel so homey and presentable and pleasent .Breakfast bar, rooms etc. Are always nice and clean as well. The four people that really stand out to me here are Bekah, Tammy, Mike and Tre. They are always very welcoming, kind and go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Thank you much y'all. And very knowledgeable of this area and willing to also help you with any questions that you have concerning the area. I could go on forever tallking about these wonderful people and facility. But to sum everything up they make your stay even more pleasant. Keep up the great work. Thank you!

I did know what to expect for a hotel room for only 81.00....but I was pleasantly surprised to have great cable TV (a full channel lineup complete with paper guide to help too)....AND the heating unit wS quiet and cozy sounding.

The storage closet was clear across the room and I could hear the noise highway traffic at 5 am (but luckily I brought a fan with me...so I turned it on and it drowned out the traffic noise).....also, no fridgerstor. But those are three minor things....not bad for 81 bucks! And I stay at hotels a few times a year when going to visit family in South Carolina. I will definely stay here again for the price.:)

The staff was friendly. Location was good. Room was clean. Pet friendly. Good place for one or two night stay.

The facility needs some TLC and updating. If I hadn't already had reservations would not have stayed because outside did not look appealing. The building needs pressure washing or painting and the landscaping needs sprucing up. The grass was cut while we were there with a weed eater not a mower. The back area was covered with cigarette butts from the employees who smoked. Breakfast wasn't the best. The waffle makers were not working properly so didn't have many choices for breakfast.

Easy check-in and out. I really liked my stay here. Staff was professional and helpful and super friendly. I felt safe here traveling alone and they made me feel welcome with my pet and placed me in a room that was close to an exit so I could walk her. I am definitely staying here again - I have stayed in many other places at New River, but for some reason, this place fell under my radar. This will be my next go-to place when I'm visiting the New River which is often. Room was very clean. Bed was super comfy and I slept all night. The heating/air-conditioner can be set to run constantly to avoid the noises of other visitors, but there were no disruptions regardless. There is a dollar store and restaurant within a one-minute walking distance which made for a quick place to grab snacks. And it is close to Thurmond and other hiking areas. Offered a free breakfast. And also offered coffee and drinks (orange juice, coffee, and apple juice) 24-7 which is really nice. I will be back. Thanks for making my stay so nice!
