Love the location and the price point and the restaurant on site was super friendly. It was packed when we walked in with 12 of us, but a few tables rearranged themselves to make room for us!

We booked 2 rooms months in advance for us and our kids, yet the rooms were on opposite sides of the property from eachother. They told us they had no control over that and had to give us what was available, yet our friends who booked the night before were put in a room 2 doors down from one of our rooms. Not sure why we weren't given those rooms close to eachother. One of our rooms also absolutely reeked of cigarettes. Luckily we brought a diffuser. Aside from that, we would definitely stay again on our way through New River Gorge!

It was like a mini-resort with its own restaurant, tennis courts and pool. It even had a separate room for breakfast with a gift shop. The room was clean, all but one light worked and there was a nice little fridge with a freezer

For all it had you could still tell it wasn’t new, just a little run down. We were on the back side by the trash, grease pit and that was unpleasant if you walked near it. People weren’t picking up dog poop back there. Maybe a dog bag dispenser would be good

Reviews said it was only a 2-star hotel. However, I would rate it at 3 minimum, maybe even a 4! Had a VERY NICE bar and grill on site even though I did not use it. Hotel was very convenient to just about everything around. Dairy Queen rite next door and also a gas station.

The noise from the room above me!!! Dam inconsiderate people stomping around until late in the night! I now that's not the fault of the hotel. I guess you're going to have inconsiderate A-holes no matter what sometimes.

Friendly people that actually cared about the motel and the business. I checked in and they made sure I knew where everything was, and even called me a few hours later to see how I was faring and if I needed anything more. Fantastic place, especially at this price point.

Only thing that wasn't up to my standards was that the floor hadn't been super thoroughly swept. Not a big deal, as everything else was sparkling clean and well maintained.

Location could not have been better. Room was very clean. This property has a large bar and restaurant attatched with exceptional food. Excellent ribeye steak! The free breakfast was very good also with a really nice gift shop. We did not use the outdoor pool but it looked awesome. There is also a Dairy Queen, a liquer store and a gas station just a short walk away. New River Gorge is just a few miles down the road. We will return to this gem of a place.

Everything except the pool not being open (Booking com said it would be.) Lovely people, nice breakfast. All very good.

Why aren't the d scriptions on Booking.com accurate and why do reservation changes get messed up so much? We altered 2 reservations. Neither got to the hotels. We also wanted open pools and chose hotels booking.co m said had open pools...and they didn't. We booked one hotel specifically because it would have a washing machine...which it didn't.

This hotel was obviously an older building undergoing some renovations. That being said, my room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean... The continental breakfast was pretty much your run of the mill breakfast but the attendant was super helpful... Location was very close to the New River Gorge National Park, which is what I came to see...

Vending area needs attention

Location was good for trip and convenient. Initial contact staff was most accommodating. Surprisingly quiet despite location to busy highway.

The facility is aging although still adequate if visitor is spending time recreating. Bathroom is small but equipment performed well. Breakfast somewhat limited for people with nutritional restrictions.

very friendly staff at check-in, even though it was close to midnight. the room was clean and quiet, which I find very important for a peaceful night’s rest.

i had difficulty finding out how to release the plug of the sink, to empty the sink. but if that is all I can think of that ‘bothered’ me, it means I was very happy with the accommodation.

The room was very clean and fresh-smelling. Breakfast was very good, best biscuits and sausage we have had in a while. We were able to check in early, as we requested. We had a good time at Elliott’s Bar and Grill on-site.

We travel with 2 dogs. The dog fee was reasonable, but we suggest having special bins outside where we can deposit their ”business.”
