Staying at Amulet Hotel was an essential and unforgettable part of our journey. Sleeping in a beautifully converted madrasah, this hotel offers a unique experience that is hard to find elsewhere. The beauty and charm of Amulet Hotel are immediately apparent. The entire team goes above and beyond to make your stay special. The Uzbek breakfast served here deserves a special mention for its exceptional quality and variety. Located just a 10-minute walk from the center of Bukhara, the hotel’s location is as convenient as it is charming. The hotel itself is extraordinary, differing vastly from any other hotel we’ve known. The rooms, arranged around a courtyard in this ancient madrasah, are small but equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The decor is tasteful and adds to the overall experience. The breakfast is spectacular, and the staff's attention to detail is exquisite. It's just a step away from the main square, placing you right in the heart of the city.

It is an experience on itself. It is really a XIX century madrasa, so it is very especial. It is also quite cozy. Breakfast was excellent.

It is true that it is an experience on itself, but also true that due to this fact you might not have all the confort you wish. The tv didn't work in our room, they said someone would fix that up the next day, but it never happened. The first day a cleaning lady entered the room without knocking, the second day no one came so our room was undone. On another note, the guy in the reception made an unsolicited comment on my body that I disliked very much. Still giving it a 9 because the experience was great. But if you are looking for confort, maybe this is not the best alternative.

We liked everything about this property. The location was fantastic - we were able to walk to so many historic sites, restaurants and very safe of course. The building/architecture was beautiful, historic, and very well-maintained. Management was very easy to work with, incredibly helpful and coordinated an amazing private tour with a local tour guide - I highly recommend! Breakfast was fantastic - probably the best we had during our week touring Uzbekistan. Our 2nd floor room was well appointed and comfortable. Great air conditioning. TIP: The stairway to the second floor was not a problem for us, but it is steep. Request a first floor room to avoid the stairs, if needed. Stayed June 17-19, 2024

The hotel was the highlight during my trip in Uzbekistan! Located close to the old city centre, everywhere is in walking distance (including ATMs, restaurants, parks, small shops, and the best somsa I've ever tasted in Uzbekistan!). The staff are also superb and attentive. Love the breakfast and welcome tea, so generous. Also, love the fact it was an old madrasa building. Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who will visit Bukhara.

Cash only for the payment. If you don't bring any cash, there are ATMs nearby.

We had a wonderful stay at the Amulet hotel. The communication before our arrival was very easy and a late check-in at midnight wasn’t a problem at all. We were immediately blown away by the calmness and beauty of the ancient madrasa. You can tell the effort of the owner by admiring the stunning interior design at this place (the wooden beds, colorful carpets, wall decorations, …) The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom extremely clean (looking newly renovated). Since we stayed in late September, we didn’t need the a/c (witch worked nonetheless), since the stone walls kept the room quite cool. Although the hotel is located on a main street, you are not able to tell, upon entering the courtyard through the stunning wooden door. The staff is very attentive but discreet. We enjoyed our daily tea time in the afternoon at the traditional seating areas, were you can read or take a short nap. If you are looking for a place with a historic past to relax and recharge, within a walking distance from all the cultural and culinary spots, search no further. A truly exceptional experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Nothing to dislike

The whole experience from when we set foot into the hotel was excellent. Akmal the inn keeper was so welcoming, accommodating and helpful. We arrived very early in the morning at 6 a.m. and asked if we could drop our luggages first before check-in. He responded politely with a yes. When we arrived we drop our luggages and checked us in the same time. He said since the room is unoccupied he allowed us to checked in and rest. He even allowed us to leave our luggages after we checked out while we tour the old city. I applaud the hospitality provided to us and highly rommeneded this hotel. By the way the break fast was excellent too.

- Historical building with authentic design – an old Uzbek madrasa! - Traditional Uzbek breakfast in the courtyard - Excellent location! - Friendly staff – they prepared a breakfast to go for us since we had an early train

- The internet connection could be improved; it was stable but not very strong and couldn't handle large file uploads. - I booked too late and only got a twin bed room, but honestly, staying in a study room in the Uzbek madrasa was very cool! - It's on the pricey side, but given the circumstances, it was absolutely worth it. THANK YOU!

The location, just on the edge of the main sights was ideal for me. The hotel has a beautifully atmospheric, historic inner courtyard, which, along with its small size makes it quiet. The courtyard provides a beautiful location to sit and relax. Breakfast at this hotel was one of the food highlights of my trip. Weather-permitting, served in the courtyard this consisted of a series of (daily-changing) traditional dishes served one after another alongside beautiful jams, yoghurt, bread, fruit juice, tea etc.

Nothing.

This was not just the most comfortable and charming hotel I stayed in Uzbekistan, but one of the most pleasant places I've ever stayed in my life. I'm not sure I've ever given a rating of 10 before, but I believe this property deserves it. Every room is charming and full of thoughtful touches. I love how the rooms have small ventilation windows throughout. Nice clothes hanger. Little shelf over the bathroom sink. There is even a hook for a shoe cleaner and shoehorn by the door! These small touches really make a difference. The courtyard for breakfast is wonderful and the breakfast itself was superb. There is a second floor terrace which is terrific for lounging no matter how hot it is during the day. Attractive uzbeki decor scattered throughout the property. Whoever was in charge of designing and setting up the rooms and overall Hotel did an outstanding job. The staff was very helpful and friendly, even brought me tea when I was relaxing on the terrace. Even though the hotel is located on a major road, the walls are very thick and I heard almost no noise.

No complaints

Excellent, unique atmosphere and we loved that the breakfast was served in a separated room to have intimacy. Also, breakfast was rich and very tasty. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and very, very kind. This place has a unique, a bit spiritual atmosphere and is just at the doorsteps to old Bukhara

It is not that we didn't like it but it's for people awareness that the place is historical and old and the rooms are not very big and have small windows. But it is not a flaw as you come here for a unique experience.
