breakfast for everyone! not mentioned when i reserved but i had read reviews. buffet of fruit, soup, veg, coffee, water, juice, bread, peanut butter, eggs, noodles...a good selection and some changes on the second day...appreciated! the female receptionist was very helpful - we never asked any questions, but she made sure we knew about the nearby night market and about the additional tolls/fees that would be added to our grab fare when we went to the airport. great location. really nice to have an elevator.

room was small, which we knew. we have stayed in many small rooms and the layout and furniture placement make a huge difference and this room rates on the poorer side. eg half of the closet virtually unusable because the desk was right up against the closet door. fine for the 2 nights we were there, and we'd definitely do a short stay again, but probably not for longer in this category room.

Nice room, very clean, and great staff who went above and beyond such as taking our suitcases in and out of the hotel when we arrived and departed. Fantastic location near the centre of HCMC and easy walking distance to most of the main attractions. Good coffee shops and a great craft beer pub nearby and a 24 hour supermarket next door. Almost forgot - a great buffet breakfast included each day, including an assortment of English and Vietnamese foods including fresh fruit.

Nothing. We will definitely return next year, we loved the Thien Hai Hotel and the street-fronting room we had on the 4th floor.

The central air conditioning in our room worked the best of any hotel we have stayed at in our budget-mid range price point over our 14 day trip to Vietnam. It did take a bit of time to cool down so just need to be patient. The furniture and room generally is somewhat "basic" and not the newest but the relative lack of humidity in the room made up for it. All was well maintained, staff, especially at the front desk friendly, straightforward check in and bill. We liked the location, faced the street and thus minor noise but did not keep us awake as on the 3rd floor. We were suprised that a decent breakfast was included which was very convenient. One of us found the bed on the hard side but the other one loved it, good linen quality. Would stay again.

Some would say the furniture/decor style is outdated, but it is all functional, solid and clean. Not fussy ie too many decorative pillows which we personally like.

Great buffet breakfast included in room price. Bacon, fried eggs, and enough other foods including fruit, bread etc would likely satisfy most palates. Drinks included tea, coffee, and orange juice. Our room (503) was quiet and we could barely hear street noise.

The room description said the room we would be staying in had a city view. Instead it had a view of a wall of another building about 6 metres away. We weren't too worried about that though as we spent most of our time away from the hotel. The bed was rock hard but my wife and I were both so tired from our flights from NZ that we slept soundly anyway. For anyone used to a soft bed this could be a problem.

Breakfast was excellent and taste good. Location is convenient to all attractions. Room is kind of small and hot water is not enough at night, although it is plenty in the afternoon or early in the evening.

My room (502) sometimes smells the sewage by the toilet. The smell of the sewage gone after you take a shower. I guess the water from taking the shower thoroughly flushing down the dirty stuffs from the pipe.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Location is great, with a convenience store right next door and all the major sights within walking distance. It's central but not in the middle of nightlife, which I really appreciated. It's located on a pretty busy street, which meant I could occasionally hear cars through the night but I was able to sleep well and it also made me feel safe as a solo female traveler staying out late. Would stay again.

The lighting was a tad dark and the room was a little older than pictured but everything was well-maintained and clean!

Just a wonderful hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. It's like my second home because I been here six times since 2018. The staff is always the same in all those years, which is a very good feeling at a hotel. Location of the hotel is very good and there are two 24/7 mini supermarkets right next door.

Bright clean room. Nice view. Staff were nice and helpful. Relaxed feeling. Housekeeping everyday. No bad surprises in bathroom I. e lizzard, coackroach. .Good shower pressure. Air con is in built which is great as it s not noisy.Location is super good for visiting attractions. Plus if you are Japanese food fan here s your corner. This hotel should be 3 stars not 2 .we have compared it to other 3 stars we stayed in and they were crap. Market with souvenirs and knick nacks within walking distance. There s also a times Square like modern area just couple minutes walk. We stayed in Deluxe double room.

Noise from the street can be heard in spite of glazed windows. But it s not too bad . It s not obviously hotel s fault.

This is a charming little hotel, very conveniently located in central District 1, with most helpful staff. I have used it before and will again if in Saigon. The room TV had a good selection of channels, including English language channels.

OK, this time they didn't offer breakfast. I was told that this was due to lack of custom, especially tourists (thanks to the previous Cocid restrictions...which now do not exist). I sympathise with them because they go out of their way to help customers in all other ways.

First of all, I had to cancel my original booking because my visa did not come through on time and the staff was lovely enough to waive the cancellation fee. It was only natural that I booked with them again when finally arriving to Saigon! When checking in I was offered a free upgrade simply because they had it available, and the room was huge and bright. The location is great, and the lovely people of Thien Hai helped with my luggage and arranging a ride as well. I wish I could have stayed longer.
