Homestay is 5-10 min walk to the Huang Mua viewpoint hike. We wanted to do the hike early at 6 am and did not want to bother with transportation at that time of the morning. Viewpoint was fabulous and we loved the freedom t walk there. We got a room at the homestay with a mountain view. Pool and breakfast were good. It was a little awkward using google translate to communicate with the owner, but it was fine. There are a couple restaurants near the homestay, nothing fancy. It is not the buys tourist center of Tam coc. If you want nightlife and restaurants it is an easy 10-15 min grab from here. We love nature so loved the homestay being so close to the hike -

Is this property a 5-star resort? No. But it is a gem of a homestay with the most wonderful hosts who will go out of their way to make sure that your stay is perfect. The pool is an amazing space and it is always kept clean and well treated. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food is great. I would stay here if I come back again. The location is perfect.near Hang Mau cave and close to Na Trang. It’s a great cycle, or even walk, to Tam Coc and is nice and quiet.

The bathrooms could be deep cleaned a bit more to remove the mildew. Thicker towels could be provided.

Ninh our host was amazing. We didn't really have a plan when we turned up and he told us all the good things to do in the area. As we don't know how to ride mopeds on the first day he drove us to all of the attractions for a really really good price. He even took us to his favourite chicken noodle place at the end of the day for dinner. Both days we had a great breakfast of eggs, bread, cucumber and coffee. The location was great a short cycle from Tam Coc and on the same street as Hang Mua. Trang An is about 15 minutes away by car. They have mopeds and bikes that you can take out. He doesn't speak English but communicates very well through Google translate so we had no problems. The room had air con and a fan so we kept cool.

All was great

Wow! We stayed 3 nights and wish it could be longer! On arrival we were given bottles of cold water, which was amazing given the summer heat! The staff are amazing and always looking after you. The grounds and buildings are beautiful, gardens very well looked after with various fruit trees. Lovely pool to swim in. The food is delicious, fresh and cooked to order. Breakfast was free each morning, we had Bahn Mi with duck eggs, cucumber and tomatoes, another morning we had mixed rice, which is the best rice we've had! Scooters and bicycles are inexpensive to rent. A "stone's throw" from Hang Mua mountain and cave, literally they're just down the road. An ideal base to explore the rest of Ninh Binh too - if you're not experienced with driving a scooter, it's a quiet area, perfect for that first time 😉 just make sure you have an international driving permit if required. Hang Mua Homestay turns your experience of Vietnam up to 11. Can't wait to come back!

Having to leave 😢

The location was perfect for Hang Mua caves and in walking distance to a few restaurants. The staff were super helpful and rented us a bike, as well as helping us arrange a bus transfer to Hanoï Noi Bai and inviting us to a family party- they made us feel very welcome.

The best rooms in the hotel were the ones for bigger groups and those rooms overlook the rice fields outside so they're very pretty. They also have some outside seating which faces the pool. Because we were just a couple and the hotel was full, our room seemed less nice by comparison, it had no view as the window was blocked by a big sculpture.

Breakfast is available with several options to choose from, and the quality's actually better than expected as they were served hot (cooked by the hosts themselves). The hosts were really responsive, supportive and considerate. Also the homestay is very close to Hang Mua, so we can walk directly from the homestay. Pretty spacious beds as well.

The ventilation system could be improved. The lights in the rooms were a bit too dim for us, though it's not that significant.

The location of Hang Mua Homestay, in my opinion, is the best you can opt for if you want to fully explore Ninh Binh. It is equidistant from both Tam Coc and Trang An, which are the two sites where you would want to go boating amidst the spectacular karsts, and Hang Mua cave is barely 500 meters away, from the summit of which you get the best views of the entire area. The property itself is quiet and homely. All the rooms have at least one wall which is entirely glass, so you get a nice open view and can watch the moon from the comfort of your bed. They have a bustling kitchen and an elaborate menu to choose from. Every meal I had here was hearty and generous. Breakfast was included in the room tariff and it was delicious. I am allergic to egg and since all the standard breakfast options included egg, Nhu - the extremely friendly and efficient young girl who manages the property - ensured that I got some chicken with my baguette every morning. They had free bicycles for the guests as well as motorbikes on hire (fuel available right there and everything was priced very reasonably). You could help yourself to as much drinking water as you needed from their always accessible kitchen. The surrounding area was green and open, and you could go walking or cycling in any direction. Nhu also booked our return bus to Hanoi at a very reasonable price.

The bathrooms had a slightly strange smell which vanished briefly when they sprayed some room freshener, but then reappeared after some time. The dining area had a lot of other furniture which made the place look a little crowded.

Wonderful place to stay, right down the road from the Hang Mua. The pool was great and the room was very nice.

The service was not forward. But I want to clarify, everyone that works there is very nice and happy to help. But you will have to ask for it, don't expect it to be offered necessarily. It was NOT a negative for me, but I wanted to mention that it's different.

Nice little homestay. Nice pool to cool down in. Close to Mua Cave. Very quiet when tourist buses left for the day. Nice walking around the local streets. Amazing view from window especially the thunder and lightning show that nature put on for us. Woke to the sound of monkeys.

Breakfast area smelled of petrol fumes from their bowser. Limited breakfast menu.

A beautiful place for a very reasonable price. The location, the facilities and the whole family was indeed a great host. For such a good price the room facilities were great and far. The free breakfast was another highlight. These 4 days I enjoyed staying there every bit and they helped me a lot. The food was delicious with a very good rate. I fell in love with their banana pancake and on the last day they packed it in a box so I could have it on my way back. The host and the ladies were very kind and made sure everyone was enjoying their time. I was planning to pay using Qr service but it wasn't an option. So the host helped me by taking me to an ATM which was about 5 km away. I'm grateful for receiving their kindness. I'll definitely come back with my family and would love to try the pool and other rooms. 💕

Except for the occasional power failure at night there's none.
