If I could have been able to give 10 stars I would have done it! Stayed in Kau Kaleshen for 2 nights. Booked via Booking, after which the staff contacted me quickly and offered their help with anything that I needed help with. They advised me on transport from&to the airport and on the tour to Perito Moreno to be booked. Since my flight was uncertain they assisted me with all the things to do before my arrival. Honestly, Lionel, Agus and Aly must have a degree in Costumer Service……I cannot get over how they have done everything to make my stay there more comfortable!! I do travel a lot (for work) but have never experienced this before, even in 5* hotels! Location of Kau Kaleshen is perfect, right in the centre of El Calafate, but fortunately in a quite street. I think the prices are very reasonable. The rooms are located around a quite court, are just what you need and clean. It came with breakfast, again…just what you need before going on a trip. They can also supply you with various lunch boxes, so you don’t have to worry about organising that yourself. The restaurant is part of the Hosteria and offers various local dishes of high quality. It is very comfortable to be able to eat there, and you can count on good quality. I honestly don’t see any reason nót to recommend this place, felt extremely welcome!

Not a single thing

We enjoyed our time at Kau Kaleshen. The staff were helpful and friendly. The feeling of Kau Kaleshen is relaxed and welcoming. The backyard is green and feels private. We parked our care on the street in front. One can walk about a half mile or so to the Laguna Nimez nature reserve, where we saw an Andean fox (zorro colorado), flamingos, and many other birds. We ate dinner at Kau Kalashen as well and enjoyed it very much; all the staff were very friendly at breakfast and dinner. The front desk staff helped us obtain our Glacier National Park tickets.

Kai Kalaushen is centrally located in El Calafate, close enough to the main commerce area to be convenient but far away enough to offer quiet. The staff we encountered at the hotel all went out of their way to make our stay go as smoothly as possible. They offered valuable advice about traveling to local sights and helped arrange our taxi for our departure. The rooms are on the smaller side, but were fine for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this welcoming hotel.

There was only one extra plug in each room we stayed in and it was located high on the wall, which complicated charging our devices.

We had a lovely stay at Kau Kaleshen. The location was just perfect, located only a few blocks from the main street. The room was simple but cozy for our family of four. The shared space for reading, watching television, or petting the resident cat was quaint. It also offered a shared refrigerator to keep our lunch fresh for the following days’ excursion. The courtyard was a nice space for my kids to run and play outside safely. The staff speak English and were super helpful prior to and during the stay. They even offered to arrange our airport transportation in anticipation of our arrival.

The breakfast was basic with cold foods without variation from day to day. Also, the shower curtain was dirty and needs replacing. Payment was required in cash (USD or Arg Peso) which they contacted me about in advance but I could not find this clause in the booking details.

Such a cozy, quiet place with a peaceful garden courtyard to hang out in. Great central location. The desk staff were welcoming and helpful. The daytime manager offered us laundry service as we checked in - everything we could stuff into a bag at a good price - and we had it back within a few hours. On our departure, she also secured a cab for us that would take a credit card, since we were limited on pesos. The onsite restaurant was closed (on Wednesday nights) but was a lovely place to have our breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

This place was great, fantastic location and the staff were brilliant. We were travelling with our teenagers and it felt very safe. Room was a good size - a queen and 2 singles. Nice lounge area and a communal fridge. The breakfast was good and accommodation was excellent value for money. There is a fantastic restaurant attached and it has the best lamb rack.. was a little expensive but delicious. Waiters and chef were fantastic.

Would be good to have a table in the Lounge room area to be able to prefer our lunch for a day trips and a kettle.

The room was warm and cozy. The shower was fantastic, with plenty of hot water and strong pressure. The entire place has a homey vibe, with a lovely garden in the center. The location is perfect - right in the center, just one street over from the main road. Leonel was incredibly helpful, offering lots of detailed information about local attractions - patient and welcoming!

The breakfast could use a little improvement, as it’s quite simple.

The property was nice and well maintained. The rooms were good size and clean. The beds were comfortable. We visited in winter and the beds were prepared with warm blankets. Heaters were in the room to adjust as needed. The front staff was very helpful, provided texts and recommendations thru WhatsApp and helped with arranging taxis to and from the airport. We checked out late as our departure was late afternoon at no additional cost. Breakfast was very basic with toast/croissants, jam, one cereal option, ham and cheese slices, coffee/juice. We treated ourselves to a breakfast at a bakery down the street for our last morning.

The location is perfect closest to the main streets in El Calafate. Stores and restaurants are just few steps from the hotel. The breakfast is nice. The stall is super super friendly! I do love Shen, the cute cat. She is the “owner” of the place. She decides everything and we loved her.

I do miss a television in the room. During fall/winter you usually come back early to your room to the sunset is early and the weather is very cold. So, a television in the room will help relax before sleeping. We also missed the restaurant. It was closed due the low season.

Good location 1 block from Main Street in city center, easy walk to eating, bars and shopping. Easy $3 taxi service from bus station, $20 to airport. Adequate for all our needs, but is a modest accommodation. Staff were especially helpful and provided excellent guidance in visiting Glaciers Park. Payment is cash, but exchange rate for $USD was good and easy at Reception (much better than at bank or ATM). Food and discount at restaurant was great.

Breakfast was scant; adding eggs and more hot/cold cereal variety would seem to take little effort, giving the in-house kitchen. We stayed twice, different rooms: some of the linens need updating.
