Nice big room, good hot water, good linen; toaster and microwave and washing machine-drier, much appreciated. We used the dining table or the low side tables for working on computers. A small side table for working would be great. The fridge with the cabinet door attached, needs a special effort to close tightly.

The glass shower door does not close tightly enough at the very base - this means water 'leaks' to the outside from underneath the door. The temperature of the air conditioner could not be adjusted, meaning on a very warm day it became very uncomfortable. The pillows were very soft but too high for us. A high and a low set of pillows would be good! Suggest good hotels provide a night light to facilitate going to the toilet, instead of having to turn on very bright lights to get there. Our room's toilet is immediately behind the door when the door opens - an odd location, when the toilet is spacious!

The hotel was very nice. Recently renovated. The Donas group has a few hotels near by. They had an indoor pool but only for doing laps, which we didn't care as we were there for the culture and sight seeing. The area is a very open space and close to Parliament House. Transport we used the bused service, which we had bus stops out front. You can use your credit card to tap on and tap off the bus. The buses are air-conditioned and very clean. The staff were super attentive and I found all Canberran's very friendly and helpful. Definitely go the the Tourist Office as your first stop. They will give you lots of info about Canberra.

There is a building, an office block being built across the road, on one side of the hotel, however the other rooms, are fine.

Location - Was great and had free on-site parking. You couldn't really walk to any of the main sites from the hotel, but you probably wouldn't be able to do that from many hotels in Canberra I'd say..based on how far all the hotels seemed to be from the main sites and the layout of the city. There are lots of great dining options around and in the hotel so you don't have to go too far for food. Staff - Fantastic, really friendly, and happy to answer any questions. Room - Could have been cleaner (our room had dirty mirrors and chips on the floor!), but it was very comfortable and spacious. Extra points for being a quiet hotel, in a quiet location, and having the best bed allowing us to have a much needed sleep in. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

The room was spacious and had all the amenities required. The bathroom is luxurious and has very nice toiletries supplied. The shower was large with good water pressure. Nice touch to have a Nespresso coffee capsule machine with capsules and some lovely T2 tea sachets. Great to have a seating area with table and chairs. The bed was very comfortable with huge pillows to prop yourself up with. The wardrobe had a good size ironing board and decent iron which I used. Nice to have the robe supplied (only one?) but we didn't need it in Summer. Also the two sets of slipper scuffs but didn't need them as the carpet is so luxurious. Ditto the hallway carpet out in the corridor - outstandingly plush and makes the whole area so quiet. Double curtains at the large window area contribute to a feeling of calmness and effective light blocking. The room lighting also very good. Dining options were extensive though as it was New Year's Eve many places were only offering set menus. The Ostani restaurant in the hotel ground floor area was excellent for casual dining and drinks. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The Pool, Gym and Spa facility is excellent. Loved the pool along with steam room and sauna for a way to relax after travelling. Lovely staff there and also the front of house reception staff were really helpful regarding check in, check out and parking. As the hotel had everything we needed we didn't need to leave the carpark until our departure. Love the fact parking is included in the room price.

The bathroom towels were on the thin side and only one face wash cloth was supplied (this is something I notice all hotels do). The digital only compendium was a little hard to navigate at first. Found the wifi details after alot of menu searching.

We had a lovely 6 night stay with a family of five. The room was very comfortable and it was very useful having a kitchenette with a dishwasher and washer/dryer. We even enjoyed sitting out on the balcony despite some construction noise from across the street.

There were dirty dishes outside our room when we arrived and it wasn't uncommon to see this in the corridors during our stay. It was a bit odd that the Ipads for room service didn't charge properly in their stations. Housekeeping came early one day just after 9am, then didn't come back when we vacated the room at midday.

Modern minimalist design. Tidy. The iron worked!

All of the glassware had to be washed before it could be used as each item had been evidently wiped with a dirty cloth plus there was lipstick and dirty fingerprints all over them. The bathroom was not cleaned well: hair was piled next to the bath and the silicone next to the shower door was a discouraging brown colour. The swipe keys often did not work for the lift or room door. I’d have to go back to reception to get them re-coded and be told it’s something that happens often.

Hotel environment was quite cosy and nice. Rooms were clean and tidy and comfortable. The family interconnecting room was very convenient and was up to expected standard. Staff were friendly. Check in, check out and communicating with hotel staff were very convenient through SMS system. Very relaxing environment. Highly recommend this hotel for a granny holiday.

Nothing to complaint. One suggestion: please add tea bags, coffee, sugar etc. in the 2nd room of family interconnecting room, as well.

Excellent location. Great staff.

Showers - when the shower door was open, the bathmat couldn’t fit under it. Shower doors should be removed. Worse - when in the shower it is easy to distinguish between the hot and cold taps, and difficult to tell then whether you are turning them on and off. I needed to put my specs on - in the shower!! - to work this out. Risk of scalding Shower taps should be clearly identified, preferably with colour (red for hot; blue for cold).

Beautiful modern property with large and luxurious rooms. The location is fantastic for visiting some of Canberra’s main attractions including the NGA and Questacon. The staff were fantastic and clearly well-trained. The pool and gym area is excellent. And the free parking was the cherry on top. We didn’t eat in, but if you don’t feel like venturing out the options all looked great. It would be hard to find a better value family stay in non-Parliament periods than Realm.

Staff were great at communicating and putting my bags into my room, letting me know when room was available and making room available early for me. Suite was fabulous, including balcony and a good bath to have a soak in. Kitchenette was useful, TV and available movies was setup better than in some other hotels...

Some of the shower could do with some maintenance or cleaning - looking slightly older. USB charging points would have been handy. More cups in the kitchen would have been good.
