What a great place to stay, a bit like visiting a relatives home. Comfortable, inviting and "feel free to use...." atmosphere Right in the heart of the main street/tourist sites. Don't worry about that though. Morpeth goes quiet when the sun goes down. "So much serenity". We just walked everywhere. The car was snug in our off street under cover parking. Loved our room, big super comfy bed in a quiet heritage room. A great big bathroom with a hot overhead shower. The balcony overlooking the main street was another bonus. We had to be quiet during the day so we didn't wake the Tawny Frog Mouths roosting in the jacaranda right in front of us. The new manager was awesome and nothing was a problem. We loved our stay and will definitely be returning.

We didn't book an extra night to really unwind.

Loved the remote check in, took the pressure off confirming an arrival time as I wasn't sure how late into the night I would be. I absolutely loved the location - didn't make it to the included breakfast as got pulled away by the many nearby local eateries but I loved the convenience of the location, the free parking and the easy/private access to my super comfy loft. It was a very lovely and relaxing weekend escape! The communications in the lead up to check in were also incredibly helpful and informative.

I didn't encounter any staff which is totally fine but also a very unique experience I.e. staying outside in the loft meant I felt like abit of an intruder trying to access the main building and find the breakfast room, so a friendly face may have helped, but such a minor moment and did not detract from the experience at all!

A well appointed room with a very comfortable bed and modern ensuite. The accommodation was beautifully located in the heart of Morpeth. It was quiet and provided a very peaceful night’s sleep. The continental breakfast, served on the verandah upstairs, was first rate and we were looked after by a very nice staff member. During the day, the communal lounge room was available for guests to relax and had an excellent stay.

A minor issue was the loose toilet seat which needs attention but otherwise there was nothing to dislike about the hotel.

We loved everything about this place, so clean and the location is perfect, all the little extras like the chocolates and the port was lovely. The breakfast was just the best, very impressed, we have stayed here before about 10 years ago and we always remembered how beautiful it was then, so when we decided to come back we bought some friends who loved it as well, just so handy to everything, we went for lovely drives and enjoyed the beautiful unique shops. We will definitely come back again and highly recommend it to everyone. Just loved it.

We really enjoyed the close location to shops and comfort of the hotel. Everything was clean, comfy and perfect for a weekend away. The complimentary breakfast was also delicious.

The whole experience was amazing the only annoyance we had was the road noise when relaxing on the balcony, it felt like it was echoing up into the area; however, understand that's what you get in such a central location on the main road.

There is a lovely balcony for patrons to use for drinks, breakfast and just catching up with friends. The king size bed was one of the most comfortable beds that I have slept in, especially the great pillows. The staff were lovely and very attentive and friendly.

The stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and a bit of a challenge for elderly people like myself. A small thing but a block of soap as well as the body liquid soap would have been appreciated.

it had character, plenty of history given; beautiful period features; EXCELLENT breakfast.

We were booked and paid for room 3, which appears to be the best room available; however, we didn’t like the fact that not only was there no door on the bathroom, but the bathroom did not have a blind on the window, which would have meant that we would have been woken up at dawn. So we managed to change rooms to no. 3, which was smaller, but comfortable, with a door on the bathroom. The downside was that it is at the front if the building and subject to road noise. One detail is that the washbasin waste was blocked, and the pop-up waste didn’t work.

Stunning character property in the Main Street of beautiful historic Morpeth. Main house plus 2 designer lofts at the rear: self contained with full kitchen and living. (Where I stayed). Undercover parking. Delicious continental breakfast each morning. Close to the riverfront and stroll to mini market, great retail shops and multiple dining options.

It was delightful. I liked everything.

Perfect location. Roomy space. Dark room (which is a must for me). Very comfortable.

Very minor but a mini fridge in rooms would have been handy. Although there were fridges supplied in dining area etc, one in own room would have topped it off. Also, old style key very hard to open and lock door at times. Bit concerning if there were an emergency to get out.

The location and the history of the building was what drew us to stay here.

The breakfast set up was a good but for those staying on the lower level it was a little difficult as they needed to come up to the verandah to cook their toast, etc before taking it back to their room if that is what they wanted to do. What was supplied is fabulous but that was a let down.
