Friendly welcome and efficient informative settling in information by your bar manager Really loved the retro architecture and your decore with local paintings and historical information Welcoming dogs and having their own space was lovely Your food was delicious and background music perfect Relaxed atmosphere with wonderful views We appreciated how quiet it was for sleeping despite being accomodation in a pub and in a built up area Wonderful to be able to explore and enjoy walking around this beautiful part of Sydney Thanks so much 🌸

Please convert another room to have an ensuite so we can ask our friends to stay

Very clean, stylish, and comfortable, and quiet. Bedroom included a sink and mirror, nice paintwork, comfy linen. Shared bathrooms were clean, safe (lockable), quiet. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind, thank you to Graham for lovely hospitality. We were two younger girls travelling by ourselves for the Taylor Swift concert and we were very safe and happy. The hotel was in a fabulous location in North Sydney, just a few minutes walked down to the ferry terminal, the ferries which can take you up and down and across the harbour, with beautiful views. Pub is on bottom floor with lots of families and older people, very nice and cheap beers 😊 House guests are on second floor in a quiet corridor.

No aircon however we had a ceiling fan and a window that opened for the breeze so it was so issue at all in February 😊

This charming little pub is positioned in a delightful location. The rooms upstairs have been tastefully renovated. In a spacious room, a comfortable bed dressed with Home Republic linen sits. New, thick towels are provided to use in clean and private communal bathrooms. Note in the rooms without an ensuite a sink and mirror are provided. Enjoy a meal or a drink downstairs, as I did. Take a short stroll hugging the water front to Luna Park or Kirribilli. This affluent suburb is leafy and peaceful. Overall a great stay.

Not a dislike just a disclaimer: street parking available 6pm - 8.30am only. This was no problem for me.

This is a simple but wonderful hotel in a fantastic location. I'm from Sydney myself and was in town for a family event. I chose the hotel because it was very reasonably priced and I could get absolutely anywhere from here. You can get to all the touristy areas quickly plus also the train station is up the road. I even managed to get to one of the famous walks (Clontarf to Manly) using the buses (there is a bus stop right outside the hotel). The cafe next door did a great breakfast. The room was simple but spacious and honestly I had everything I needed.

Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper - one night the ferries started sounding their horns at 5am and didn't stop!

Nice and clean accommodation in a superb location. I have stayed here a few times already and will do it again. The hotel is at the corner of two roads which are rather minor and it is perfectly quiet in the area at night. Shared facilities are very clean and upright. The rooms are up to the expectations: simple and lovely interiors and very comfortable beds, which is the most important part to me.

I genuinely like this place and it's always on my list of options for a night stay in Sydney. Nothing to complain about.

Good atmosphere within the hotel with a variety of choices of areas for eating or drinking e.g between the bar, the terrace and other areas. Something for everyone even dogs. The breakfast over the road was very good indeed. Loved the location and the original character 'look' of the hotel which was retained, not modernised or pretentious. Loved the ivy. Nice just having so few rooms too. (8?)

Guests sometimes limited the toilet use by locking the main door to the whole bathroom when showering. Very annoying.

Liked the bed and room, clean (and affordable for me) in a great location and helpful, friendly staff. Also easy access to a meal downstairs and breakfast at the bakery across the road.

Option of a late 11am checkout would've been helpful but was at least accommodated storing my belongings until a later family pick up than planned. Sharing a bathroom's not ideal but there were no issues with that at all and the other benefits outweighed same.

fantastic location, near ferry, train station and close to city. Sid the maintenance/cleaner guy was great. Very friendly and did a great job. Good to have a place to eat, have a drink and entertainment Sunday afternoon. Could not hear the pub noise when upstairs where the accommodation is.

Can not really think of anything.

I loved the location- great shops and cafes nearby , The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. It was quite at night with the bar closing around 10 pm , no noise issues even when bar opened. Offered good meals on site . Friendly and helpful staff.

The small kitchenette offered some tea/coffee/milk. They did run out of milk.(pods) It was well stocked initially but did not seem to be getting replaced.
