Very well situated. Within walking distance of areas I needed to visit and also to transport. Very comfortable room and surprisingly large with a very nice view over the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Bathroom was clean, well-kept and well stocked. All hotel personnel I dealt with were polite and helpful.

Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi in the room was very poor at times. I lost a consultation and fee (although that was later refunded) because the hotel Wi-Fi kept cutting out. The front desk was able to have the signal to my room 'boosted', but that only seemed to last a couple of hours. I think that considering the price of the room Wi-Fi these days, should not be an issue. I think the breakfast buffet - for a price of $30 at the time of visiting - was pretty under par and needs improvement. It was the usual fairly bland, uninspiring bane-marie buffet although I think an omelette freshly cooked was available. I was disappointed.

Lucy at the front desk deserves a commendation. She instantly made us feel valued and like VIPs the moment we started check in. Having that quality of person on the front desk is essential. In fact, she should be offered a promotion as a customer relationship ambassador for the organisation. I used to live around the corner so it was good to be back in the hood and staying at such a well organised and comfortable hotel. Thanks again for a great stay. We will be back and will definitely recommend to others xx

The room was exceptionally clean and the bed and bed linen was comfy, and we had a bit of a view as well which we weren't expecting so being able to see the fireworks was a bonus

More power outlets/ bedside power outlets would have been nice so we could both charge our phones etc. In addition to the one at the desk, I had to charge my phones in the bathroom and behind the TV. We were in the standard room but would probably opt for a better room in future because the bath is very small.

The location is so close to the train network and close to shops, cafes and restaurants. We went for the Taylor Swift show and I love that the hotel played Taylor Swift music the whole weekend and had the Taylor cardboard cut outs, it was some initiative that was highly appreciated.

The rooms were on separate floors, and it was hard to get to the kids' room with the lifts that require separate access tags for each floor, we were on floor 3 and they were on floor 5.

Good room size, super close to the train station and plenty of restaurants and bars. There's also nearby unlimited free parking on weekends, or the secure parking for the hotel is decently priced. Wifi worked well. Room had all the basics as well as a bath. I couldn't really hear much street noise from my room even though it was only one floor up. Beds were clean and comfortable with a couple of pillow hardnesses to choose from

I found a rubber band on the ground that housekeeping didn't notice, and also later on found a really large cockroach about the length of my middle finger. It didn't bother me that much so I didn't ask for help with it but I'm sure the staff would have dealt with it if I had called up.

The staff who worked at the front desk was really kind. I've got a warm-greeting when I was arrvied and she kindly offered me alternative suggestions with polite guestures and smiles for my requests. I don't know her name, but she deserves a compliment. she was on her shift at night on 11th Sep. and I slept very well becuase the pillows were so compfy. I really wanted to buy one of those if it is possible.

the noise from fans or A/C, I don't even know where that noise came from, was never ended. I couldn't even turn it off.

Room was an excellent size and felt comfortable. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size too and the shower was really nice. I prefer hotels with a kitchenette which this didn't have but it did have a fridge and a kettle, and is in the heart of Potts Point/Kings Cross. I think the prices were higher due to Mardi Gras weekend but otherwise, I couldn't fault the hotel and would happily stay there again.

To be honest, I am struggling to find anything negative to say. Compared to the other hotels in the area, it was a good price although I suspect more than usual due to Mardi Gras being on - every hotel had their prices up!

Conveniently located with a great view from our window on the 8th floor. Compfortable bed and vert large bathroom. All facilities worked well. The restaurant on the ground floor was convenient and good food. Fantastic staff!! Coles opposite could supply anything needed. Easy walk to the Hop On Hp Off bus service. Lots of fast foods close by abd the hotel breakfast was good.

The LED lights from the smoke detector poorly positioned above the bed made sleep difficult. The decor was a little old fashioned.

Corridor and room smelt musty/damp/moldy ... must have had some rain and have leakes somewhere. View into courtyard from room terrible - concrete planter pots falling apart, dirty, a total mess. Would not take much to tidy up and would make such a difference. This is something management really does need to take care of us as soon as possible. Even though they are cheaper rooms at that level it really makes Holiday In look like a dump, that no one seems to care about. Fixing it up and putting in some amazing plants that are ok in shade would make such a difference.

We selected the room on the basis of the view offered and it did not disappoint. The shape of the room added to its spacious feel. Easy access via the train from central station was important given how we travelled to Sydney, and you can easily get to other points of interest using the train network.

The system for breakfast was confusing if you wanted something other than the buffet options, and the staff seemed as confused as we were. In the end we got what we wanted, however. A power point in the room needs to be checked by a qualified electrician ... the one on the bench closest to the window.
