I genuinely could not recommend this hotel enough - we had an amazing stay here! The hotel staff were absolutely incredible - we were lucky enough to be greeted upon check-in with a room upgrade, drinks vouchers for the hotel bar, and a late check-out all being added to our stay free of charge. The room was beautifully clean and the beds were so comfortable, not to mention the incredible and central location right on Darling Harbour. I am so impressed with Novotel Darling Harbour, and I will absolutely be staying here again in the future.

We felt that the price charged to park onsite at the hotel was quite expensive, so we instead chose to park our car in a nearby parking garage.

Convenient to attractions and light rail (a 5 minute walk to the station where we later found a shortcut route). Room was cleaned. Nice views. Staff were polite and helpful. They even offered to take our luggages to our room while I checked in.

The bathroom and tea/coffee facilities were set for 2 people and we paid for 4 people. Unfortunately I had to call housekeeping daily requesting to deliver another 2 set. I reminded them each time but return in the evening to find it was still set for 2 people. Also there were a few days where there were no shower caps provided and they took away the one I was using on the first day. Housekeeping were not available in the evening to answer calls.

Perfect location with great access to light rail and ferries. Comfortable and relaxed home away from home during our time in Sydney. Enjoyed the Happy Hour drinks at the end of the day's activities and the excellent, well-priced restaurant, The Ternary (dined there three times).

Nothing major at all. Minor gripes: lack of a hand-held shower; lift area always looked in need of a vacuum; too little variety at breakfast if you're staying a whole week (would have liked a variety of good bread - sourdough, rye, etc, perhaps a bowl of fresh fruit salad each day instead of mainly sliced melon, better cold cuts).

The staff member who helped at check in was lovely and super helpful. Even organised for us to receive a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate my partners birthday. Room was a good size, great location for us attending the theatre down the street. However, the location is now slightly let down by the demolition of the Harbourside shopping centre and restaurants. It’s still close to a lot but that’s definitely going to be a miss when staying there.

The rooms aren’t soundproof so we heard a fair bit of noise in the hallway throughout the night. Room service breakfast was average, in future I think we’d be more likely to head to the restaurant downstairs instead. The bathroom light was round the corner from the bathroom and deifneilt took us an unnecessary amount of time to find the light. Not sure if that says more about us than the hotel though…

The breakfast was very good & the location was perfect for walking and touring and using the light rail Food in the evening was great too very well done if you preferred to eat at the hotel we enjoyed it

Here I have to say we arrived very early by plane got to hotel we could not check in but they did allow us to freshen up at the gym. When we got back later to check in the gave us a room near the lift & the service entrance was next to our room so the trolleys were banging against the wall all the time we did not get the superior double we booked & paid for so very disappointed about that. On speaking to a staff member she just shrugged her shoulders & said sorry about that. I will write to them personally about this.

It's a lovely hotel. There's nothing to worry about here. The staff were great and concierge staff (Esan / Simon) were exemplaray. I also wanted to make note of Chloe at reception and Jamie the coffee maker.

There was nothing really. Shame the Darling Harbour complex in front is closed, but give it a few years after redevelopment - it will thrive again.

The rooms were beautiful and the beds were very comfy- along with the breakfast which was everything you needed. Couldn't ask for a better location

The pool is a little bit small and mostly always busy if you're visiting in busy months like summer. The prices are very expensive I suppose that should be expected in Sydney for its location but we felt it was a bit too pricey for the facilities on offer. We also had a bad experience with room service as it took longer than an hour to arrive.

Lots of lovely staff upon arrival and in the bar and restaurant lobby area. I would like to say a special mention to the older man, I didn't get his name. He sounded like he was Middle Eastern (?) who looks after the cars coming in and out down the car park area. He was so nice, super friendly and helpful when we arrived in our Land Cruiser and directed me to the best place to park. He was so welcoming and looks like he really enjoys his job - he was a great first impression of my first stay at the Novotel - he absolutely deserves employee of the month

Great impression from the start, as the check-in was getting busy. So the concierge took a portion of the line and got us checked in quickly, with a great sense of humor. We were weary from a long flight from the US and he recognized we just wanted to get to our room without a lot of extra chit-chat. He gave us his card and desk number, along with a drink coupon for the lounge and said when we were revived, to call or stop by for recommendations for the city. The tiny cafe off the lobby had tasty coffee and some food as well as a small store for snacks, beverages, and misc. things. The location was removed from the touristy areas but had a light rail stop just outside, a short walk to a ferry stop, or a scenic stroll over the Pyrmont bridge to the King Street Wharf area. Nice lounge in the lobby. The restaurant looked good but we did not have a chance to try it.

Awkward access to the light rail station through the parking garage but that's not necessarily a complaint or knock on the hotel. Otherwise, no complaints

Clean facilities. Busy time of the year so the wait for check in, for a lift going down and breakfast was expected, it didn’t affect my view of the hotel though. It is in a great location and I would stay again.

The bed was too soft almost caved in the middle, my daughter preferred the floor, she said she slept better. Could just be our preference though. The staff could be a bit more forthcoming when asking for directions. Very vague answers when asked how to get to the water edge, that I had to google map it. We spent half our trip walking the long way out when I noticed people crossing the tracks from the rear of the car park.
