Convenient to Pyrmont, Darling Harbour, easy access to light rail to go anywhere else or light walking with a few Holly areas. Staff were accommodating and happy for us to arrive early, hold our bags until check in and if we wanted check out as well. Comfortable beds, clean fresh linens and clean shared bathroom. Easy access to rooms without having to go through the pub and separate security door for room entrances.

Noisy street (not much can be done about that) but they provided ear plugs. There was no AC but thankfully was not too warm a night that it wasn't uncomfortable. The door to the room stuck a bit so you had to jiggle it a bit and push hard to open it or when closing it you had to make sure it was pulled all the way to the door jam. A very solid door!

The staff were very friendly. They could give me the room before the check in time having learned of my long travel from France. They gave me an upgraded room and helped with my luggage. The bar below s nice and lively. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a heater. The bathrooms were clean.

It could use a bit more sound proofing. The street noise was sometimes a lot. The doors need a bit of adjustment, too tight sometimes.

Pictures on bookings.com are representative of what you book. The room was not noisy as I feared. The staff are friendly and the room has everything that was advertised. The bed was comfortable and faculties very good given the price. I’d stay again.

Smallest of fixes would make it a better stay. Bin and shower holder in bathroom were broken. Cool town in fridge was frozen. Remote control held together by tape. Found a previous persons razor in the bathroom as well. The bed quilt doesn’t have a cover (which is fine) as it was protected by sheets. The staff secured the bottom sheet that goes between you and the quilt to the top of the bed instead of pulling it down with the quilt. Meant getting home late, I didn’t realise and slept with just the quilt and no barrier.

I left early so did not have breakfast there. Everything was great - except for the fact that Room 7, which was my room, did not lock properly from the inside, so while I was in bed, early in the morning, someone opened the door. They closed the door again in a hurry, but as a woman on my own, this made me anxious. I suggest you check the lock on Room 7.

We had an evening meal which was excellent. Delicious food, great service. The location was fantastic.

The room lacked ventilation, exhaust fan in bathroom not working. Sleeping area one window open but noise of external exhaust fans noisy until trading ceased. I would gladly pay more for air con.

Had a lovely stay at the Dunkirk Hotel Pyrmont in room 5. This room consisted of a queen bed and two singles. I was staying there with my family, of two adults and 2 children. Room has a little kitchenette, which was perfect for our needs. In the kitchenette they provided coffee, tea, milk and cookies which was a nice touch. I booked the Dunkirk Hotel Pyrmont, as we were watching a show at the Sydney Lyric Theatre which is in Star Casino. It is less then 10 minutes walk to get there, so was a perfect location. Its only a 15 minute walk to Darling Harbour too. Across the road is a great cafe too called the Social Brew which you should check out. My family and I would stay here again. Great value.

I loved the room - high ceilings, an unusual shape, simple and tasteful decor, gorgeous antique fireplace, spacious. Comfortable beds, kettle and small table. The bathrooms were spotless, showers had great hot water supply. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The street outside was really noisy, my room faced out onto the intersection of Pyrmont Bridge Rd and Harris st, there were massive trucks that went by at all times of day and nigh and made the windows rattle. The powerpoints were in strange locations, not very practical for a laptop. Even the kettle's electric lead didn't quite reach the powerpoint, I had to put it on the floor.

Great location. Comfy beds. Everything was really neat and tidy- towels, the table/ chairs etc. staff were friendly when we checked in & even helped carry my mums bag upstairs.

I really wish it was a bit more obvious where you check in. We came on a Friday night when the pub area was packed and had no idea what the go was. Would’ve loved AC in the room, however was thankful the ceiling fan & pedestal fan worked well. I don’t think it would be too pleasant here in summer.

The Manager Walid was most helpful with storing our suitcases on check out day and was always cheerful and smiling.

The cleaning was not up to standard. Thick dust on the floor by the bedside cabinet. The bedsheets and towels were clean, but at check in there were black hairs on the bedding and towel, maybe from whoever made the bed. No doona cover was on the doona, just a sheet laid over and above the doona, which left the doona bare, which wasn’t hygienic.

The location was ideal for our holiday. Room was more than comfortable. Easy to get in and out. Great for public transport location. Very quiet even though busy area.
