For a budget hotel, it’s great. Very clean and good facilities (Inc access to shared kitchen), as long as you don’t mind sharing the bathroom. This is also kept very clean. Necessary ammenities all provided - including ear plugs, that was a nice and helpful touch. Although there is a pub right underneath, you don’t hear it. You can come and go as you please at any time, there’s a separate entrance with key for the hotel guests.

Just personal preference, but the room was very stuffy and on a hot day we couldn’t cool it down. The whole upstairs of the building is very hot - just the way it is for an old building. We had the window open but then you hear the train tracks (which are right next to the hotel) and street noise. All in all, if the heat doesn’t bother you, it won’t matter but we found it uncomfortable to sleep in.

We stayed in Room 1. The room was comfortable, well proportioned, warm and had everything we needed. The provided heater in the room was enough to warm the room quite nicely. The bed, pillows and linen were super comfy. There were enough towels and they were soft enough. Considering it is on top of a pub and on a railway line and main road, the room was surprisingly quiet at night. The shared kitchen and bathroom (the shower in the ladies was heavenly!) areas were super clean and had enough supplies. The communal iron and ironing board were much appreciated. The location is close to public transport and easy distance by cab from the airport.

A little milk in the fridge would have been perfect for coffee and tea. The main light in the room was a bit dim, but the bedside lamps were good and could read from them.

The staff were superb - could not have been more helpful and were friendly also. The kitchen for guest use was great and kept very clean. The food at the pub was great. Right next door to St Peter's station and a five minute walk from Newtown station. Buses to Glebe/Coogee/St Alfred's hospital/Sydney Uni just outside the door! Great cafes and restaurants nearby.

My only complaint is that there was only one toilet available for use on the guest floor in the ladies bathroom. Given that there are a number of rooms that rely this bathroom there really needs to be at least one more toilet available.

Room was very clean, very nice decor and functional for my purposes. (Overnight stay for work function). The shared bathroom was delightfully clean, spacious and though I didnt have to share it it would have easily coped with many more guests. It is original decor, which I loved, as it is in such excellent condition. I wasnt disturbed by any noise (inside or outside).

To be fair it was a 40 degree day, and with no AC the fan just wasnt going to cut it. Unfortunately when the cool change came through, with no flyscreen on the very large opening window the mozzies had a feast on me. Anyone else staying in normal weather would have been fine but the heat and mozzies resulted in a poor nights sleep.

It was exactly as described, the room was very clean and had everything we needed. The bathrooms and kitchen were also very clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable and a great location. Good value for money.

The weather was extremely hot and humid when we stayed, so no air conditioning was a bit of a struggle. The ceiling fan with the window open made it bearable during the night, but if you're sensitive to noise it may be hard with the open window. We aren't, so it was fine.

the location was great just right next to the train station which is easy to get around city. The kitchen has basic amenities which could let you cook some simple food. Down stair has their own bar and kitchen, if you gonna have a drink or food. That is great.

About the comforter, the cover is clean, but inside is yellow and some stain on it. The soundproof isn't very well, but the hotel provides the earplugs in the room, it is nice. If you are a light sleeper, need to think about it. The shower system can be improved.

Great pub accommodation. All of the staff were wonderful and it's a fantastic location. I accidentally left my tablet in my room when I checked out and one of the staff posted it to me afterwards (thanks Will!). Excellent bar downstairs too.

I knew this when I booked, so I'm not complaining but I think it's important for people (especially for those from Europe/colder climates travelling in the Australian summer) to know that there's no air con in the rooms. I was very comfortable with the window open and the fan on though.

Check in was quick and staff carried my heavy bag upstairs without being asked to. Although the room was small it was very thoughtfully designed to make the best use of the space. The bed was comfortable with good linen. The bathroom was close by, as was the kitchen. Noise from the pub or the street outside wasn’t a problem - earplugs are supplied if needed. Complimentary snacks in our room was a nice surprise. Would definitely stay again!

The room gets a bit stuffy. The window can be opened, however.

A train and bus station just near by the hotel, very convenient to go to the city center. There are lots a nice restaurant with reasonable price on the King street, and some vinnies are cool for shopping. Sydney park hotel also offers room service with the menu of their bar downstairs and a proper kitchen to use. The staffs were very friendly and willing to help.

Accidentally caught a roach in the room :(, I don't know if it's because our room was very close to their kitchen (on first level) and we had the window open so it just happened.. Note for travelers from Asia: Hotels in Australia do not offer toothpaste and toothbrushes, please prepare your own :) 給台灣旅客的備註：要記得自備牙刷牙膏、澳洲飯店普遍不提供:D

Friendly, helpful staff. Perfect Newtown location. Handy train station next door. Excellent bathroom. Super clean. Comfy beds! Good pub downstairs can't be heard from upstairs.

On the main road by the station makes it very, very loud with a window open (needed on a warm day). The earth-shaking door springs. Bathroom and bedroom door springs need adjusting for a quiet close and peaceful stay.
