small but well-appointed rooms. Decor was great. Staff wonderful. Location brilliant and well priced parking with a great parking attendant.
Rooms could be a little larger but they were comfortable and cleverly done.

A very small, boutique (in my opinion). Very clean. Cozy. Love it! Great LOCATION - Between places where we want to be.
BATHROOM HAND SHOWER IS A MUST FOR ME. ( not all rooms comes with it). Very limited. Water pressure - very slow. FACILITIES No Phone in the rooms - in the event of emergency/accidents if you are on Single Occupancy. No phones - Not even on the floors. HOUSEKEEPING When we checked into one of the rooms, we found a bottle cap near the bedside. Quite dangerous as it is NOT the plastic. Gave feedback to the staff. She was accommodating. Perhaps no thorough check was done before handing over the keys and releasing it to the Front Office.

Lovely gem of a hotel, really comfy rooms and great location. The water in my bathroom also wasn't super hot for the first day, but I asked reception to ask someone to take a look, and once I was back from my day out, it was fixed. Very impressed at the quick turn around and helpful staff.
Only one lift/elevator, and no other option to get to reception or hotel rooms e.g. can't use the stairs as they are alarmed, so wait times can be a bit of a pain, especially when only going up or down one floor! Not sure if there is a way to de-alarm the stairs so they could be used for able-bodied persons just to get to and from their rooms?

Its in a good location and has car parking attached for extra cost. I like the renovations. I have stayed there many times prior to the renovations and I like the eq look and upgrade. Rooms are modern , reasonably clean. Secure building. Friendly helpful staff with good English. Close to theatre, restaurants, trams haymarket area
Unfortunately the lift was out of order whe leaving the carpark which made me have to change my plans as I have a bad back and couldn't walk the ramp twice, to drop off my suitcase to my car , go shopping then return. No shopping. Could be a little cheaper if booking second night but pretty good price really. Sheets don't fit the bed. They are too small.

I recently stayed at The Capitol Hotel and had a great experience. It’s a small, charming hotel with a seamless check-in and check-out process. The location is fantastic, with plenty of eateries and shopping nearby, plus the Chinatown light rail stop right outside makes it super easy to access everything in the CBD. The beds were incredibly soft, like sleeping on a cloud, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Sydney!
The room was on the smaller side, but cozy enough for my stay. My personal preference is for higher water pressure in the shower, but overall it was a wonderful stay.

The hotel was in a perfect location, offering a clean and comfortable room with a special touch of theatre. We enjoyed walking to Circular Quay (2km), QVB, Botanical Gardens and Hyde Park, and found plenty of cafes, restaurants and amenities nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we would look to stay again on our next visit to Sydney. Thank you :)
The pillows were quite heavy and dense, and the walls were a bit thin! We were on the 2nd floor so could hear our neighbours, the lift, and any noise from the reception and dining area.

Reception were friendly and welcoming. The room was nice and it was of a good size. The bed was comfortable and I slept well every night. The location of the hotel was also very central and around lots of public transport, so it was very easy to get around.
Whilst I liked the breakfast, I thought it was perhaps a bit expensive for 22 dollars as only continental was offered. The wi-fi was occasionally a bit slow. There is only one lift operating, so getting to reception or the ground floor can be slow at peak times. Having said that, these are all minor things and I'd happily stay back at The Capitol.

Location was fantastic to Capitol Theatre and restaurants. Couldn't be closer! Bed was comfortable. The room was very small, but it had everything we needed for a short stay. Staff were friendly, but we didn't interact much with them due to online check-in..
The pillows were great to sit up and watch TV, but not very comfortable to sleep on. Too high. There was online check in which was quick, however you still have to go by reception to pick up your key and return it, as well as validate your parking ticket. There was 1 elevator so it took a while getting back to you. Not a biggie though, unless you are in a hurry.

The location was perfect for us. Just a short walk from Central train station, next door to the Capitol Theatre where we were seeing a show & close to lots of interesting eating places. There's also a light rail stop almost at the front door. The staff were all friendly & very helpful on a day when their lift was being serviced.
There was no hanging space apart from 3 large knobs on the wall & 3 coat hangers. We were only having 1 night there, so it didn't bother us too much, but anyone staying longer might find the lack of hanging space inconvenient. Minor things: No tissues or shower cap supplied.

The location is excellent, being super close to the central station and with a tram line right in front of the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bedroom was a good size with enough space for a desk and with a comfortable bed.
The hotel's acoustics were not the best; we could hear, from the second floor, noise from the streets. The main issue was when the occupants of the room beside us were loudly talking at 2 am. My partner attempted to address this with reception, unfortunately, it didn't improve the situation. For light sleepers, this experience may not be the most ideal
