location is excellent, right in the center of town and close to everything!

showers aren't very wide, and then they mount the soap holder and bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash on the side wall which you knock into when in the shower, shower nozzles are terrible, you cant turn the showers on from the side, you have to stand in front of the shower to turn it on and can't escape that first blast of cold water out of the nozzle lol. parking fee's are ridiculous compared to other places in Darwin nearly 3 times as expensive and when asked if they could reduce or cap the price for over a week stay, the answer was no...

Very central to everything we wanted to see. The hotel was quiet, the staff were very friendly and the housekeepers were fantastic! We enjoyed the pool area and the size of the room with the kitchenette was very comfortable.

It would have been nice to have access to a bbq area near the pool. The only place you can properly mingle with other guests is at the pool and we did meet lovely people. Opening up that area would make it better and maybe a small play area for children. The reception area seemed impersonal with a staff member standing in the corner helping guests to do their own check in. It’s sad when the only people you talk to regularly are the cleaners.

Great location! Just a short walk to the Aqua park without the higher price tag for accommodation and the tour bus would pickup at the door. Right in the City Centre so easy walk to many restaurants, pubs and clubs.

With the weather being really warm all year round and the need\want to swim, the pool was a little on the small side, but it did do the job in cooling off, it's just not designed for kids to play around in. There was also a couple that argued all night in the foyer where our room was located, so that was a little disappointing as we really needed our sleep that particular night, but it only occurred one night and I would assume that this is not a common occurrence.

Everything was great, better than expected. Just to name a few things that were above the average: Check-in was automated but in case I had difficulties with the touch screen, there was a person to help. Staff were friendly and helpful. The AC was similar to central air and very good. The iron and the ironing board were clean. The elevator not going to any level others than yours provided an extra layer of security.

A complementary bottle of water in the room to make tea on arrival would be much appreciated.

We stayed here for 2 weeks and had an amazing time thanks to the wonderful staff that were so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything. Nothing was too hard and they were constantly going out if their way to ensure we had everything we needed.

The beds and pillows could do with some improving.

Room was cleand and cool. Air conditioning works very well. Bed and pillows were comfortable. I had a lovely view out the corner windows and I was in such a short walking distance of lots of good choices for breakfast.

The cold taps seemed to have very warm water coming from them if I ran the tap for more than a minute. Maybe that's just the location?

All good, although the contactless reception was unusual (but a member of staff very helpful with explaining it)

2 queen beds, we are old and have seperate beds despite 50 plus years of marriage!

Some reception staff have obviously not been trained in corporate policy ie , we arrived early, hot and needed access to our room , receptionist 'You have to wait until 3pm" 10 minutes later a different receptionist " YES a, i will sort a room that has been cleaned and ready " and did yet that , our whole attitude to the staff and Rydges changed to a positive outlook

the location was great.

The front of house staff were welcoming and accom dated our every need. The room was very comfortable and clean. One staff member, Rachel, was abrupt with clients, and in a phone call I had with her most aggressive. This was a shame, as it puts you on edge. Her dealing with a client in front of me went along the lines of: “Do you want a taxi? Do you want to check in? Well what do you want? “

excellent location, in walking distance of restaurants, shops and the waterfront. clean room and comfortable beds. lovely bathroom with huge shower. breakfast at the Italian cafe downstairs was lovely and well priced.

the pool was lovely but I imagine a little small for a hotel this big. the self service kiosks to check in and out were not great - human customer service would be better.
